How do you seperate audio from video?

I really want to add an audio to my movie that was on a tv show, but I can't make it so only the audio is heard, and the part of the show not seen.
How can I do this?

um
you will have to record the sound from the TV show.
save it as music format and use it how you want.

at least that is how i do it.
