Ahh, multiplayer. Something many people don't care about, and the sole reason to get some games for others. So, what are your favorite games to play in multiplayer?

Mine:

Smackdown vs Raw (any version): Seriously, as dull as the solo mods can become, they become some of the most enjoyable experiences ever when you join up with a few friends.

Fire Bugs and Rollcage games: Races with cars that can run on the walls, ceilings, and throw missiles at eachother. Do I need to say anymore? The look on your friend's face when you pull a win out of your rear end by teleporting to right in front of the finish line one second before he'd get there is absolutely priceless.

House of the Dead: Shooting zombies in cooperation with someone is surprisingly fun. If you live near an arcade that has this games, then grab some coins and give it a try.

Here's my favorite Multiplayer games. XD

Champions of Norrath / Baldur's Gate (all PS2 versions) My all time favorite Multiplayer (up to four players). It's like clearing/ joining a party with those old Multi User Dungeons only with GRAPHICS.

Red Steel! : One line: (Also up to four players) FIND AND KILL THE MYSTERY KILLER. The story mode was disappointing, but the multiplayer is as fun as Counterstrike on Wii!

Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Fan Service with very cheesy and corny plot. But heck, it's still fun and can occupy lots of your (study)time. XD

Contra (and NeoContra): Old school fun! XD

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles SNES

Yea I dont look for multiplayer games that much but theres one that was extremely fun and it had a enjoyable multiplayer experience. It was for the gamecube system called Metal Arms : Glitch in the System. It had halo style fighting in first/third person kind of like final fantasy 7 dirge of cerberus with a array of upgradeable weapons and the gameplay was just amazing if you like the action explosive boom. It took a while to get the hang of the controls since the controll stick moved you up down left and right and the c stick angled the camera to allow you to turn but in the end it was a pretty fun game.

Does Tales of Symphonia count? You can have up to four players, and I really love that game. :3 It's a lot of fun and it's an RPG, which is even better. Heck, I even got my mom and my brother to play through it with me! ^_^;

There is also Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles and World of Illusion for the Sega Genesis that I used to play alongside my brother when I was younger. That was a lot of fun; though we used to meanly use magic tricks on each other if one of us messed up. If you waved that magic blanket thing at Mickey/Donald (depended on who you were playing) it would cause them to spin and then they'd be twisted up and couldn't move. I thought it was funny and cruel at the same time. xD My brother and I had to work together and if he wasn't willing or I wasn't willing, we'd do that back and forth, twisting up each other's character at the time.

Needless to say, we often died on the underground see-saw thing...if we didn't jump back and forth on it, we didn't make it through their safely, and often died. T_T

We were so mean to each other.

I'm totally a Halo fan, Xbox live is were I live.

I've had some wonderful games on live with some truly awesome people, its a blast, and that right now is about the only online game I play on Live other then Call to Duty 4.

I'm trying out the Dawn of War online, its fun I will admit.

Dichromatic: Baldur's Gate is amazing, though I only have the first five disk some odd one xD. Its amazing, just haven't beaten it yet..

Ooo multiplayer love. >w< Playing Super Smash Bros. *any version* was always fun to play with friends because we'd make fun of each other or just spout out funny lines. Most were "Damn you Pikachu!" or my stepbro's favorite "Come back here Linkypoo!<3" It was really fun to play, especially if you got the hammer. XD
And then there's muh lovely Gears of War which I mostly play online with my buddies on Xbox. We'll all have headphones on and join up for some good asskicking and a lot of comedic talk. What's really funny is they could be perverted even though the game is completely dark and gory...then again they're all guys. XD Anyways the team work that can be done in Gears and strategy is what makes it a lot of fun...but randomly killing each was awesome too. <3

I love playing fighting games with people. I played Soul Calibur 3 with my boyfriend a lot. :]

I also used to play the Tony Hawk games, Super Smash Brothers, and Mario Party with my sister.

But the best time was when I played Wario Ware for the Wii with about... ten other people. Haha, it was so fun. ^-^

Well, there's always great fun to be had on MMO's, but the most fun I've ever had playing multiplayer was years ago with my dad.

Back on the Super Nintendo, there was a mario game we'd play. It was really fun please with him :3

And also with my dad, on the N64, we'd play Diddy Kong Racing. It was a lot of fun playing that with him, too. But that was years ago, and video games are too advanced for him now XD I should dust off the N64 and see if he'd be interested in playing again for old time's sake ^3^

Mario Kart 64, I love to play that game with others. Dont like the other Mario Karts that much.

Unreal Tournament. Great fun to play with others over Lan.

Super Smash Bros, awesome. Super mario characters arent posers in this game.

Wario Ware, oh lol! Its so frikin sweet to play that game with your friends. It cracks you up.

These games have to be my favourite multiplayers :3

I've never really bought into playing multiplayer games online, but I used to join in with my dad's LAN games sometimes. We'd play games like Quake and Unreal Tournament on deathmatch and co-op games like Battlefield 1942.

I was disappointed with the Gamecube Mario Kart game, but it was a lot more fun to play with friends. I loved Super Smash Bros as well, I'll definitely be checking out the Wii version. I always used to think I was really good when I played on single player but my friends could usually beat me!

I guess if it counts, I play Wii Sports and Wii Play with my parents a lot and if we have any guests around they always want to join in too! They're real party games.

Mutiplayer is the main reason I get games that have multiplayer.
I have XBOX live so I play Call of Duty 4 online like theres no tomorrow. I could sit on that thing forever and never get bored.
I sometimes play Gears of War online but I don't like the multiplayer too much (except the co-op).
I play the ocaisional Burount Paradise and Beautiful Katamari online.
I'm trying to get all achivements in as many games as possible.

Already got Call of Duty 4 cleared out.

Multiplayer games.....hm. Well, my favorite "multiplayer" game would be Soul Calibur III but I don't think that really counts, since...you're kind of fighting each other. xD;;

Sooo. I guess for "real" multiplayer games, it'd be...

....

.......actually, I really don't know. D:

Take a look at my list. Most of my choices are games where cooperation is optional at best :P

I should have mentioned my best multiplayer fight in Super Smash Bros Melee.

I was ganondorf, like always. And my best friend took Zelda. We had about.. 20 lives I think, we played without items, and the stage was Fountain of Dreams.

It was a neck on neck challenge. We played both as well, untill one of us would mess up, but struggled a way to beat the other up again and get back in their lost position.

The end was the best part of the whole fight. It was like an ending of an anime or something! O_O
We both had 1 live left, both above 100% damage, and we were facing eachother from both ends of the platform. We ran up to eachother a bit, jumped into the air at the exact same time, and hit eachother. We flew past eachother, trying to regain strength as we fell off the platforms, but both didnt reach the platform anymore.

Of course, Ganandorf fell first, so Zelda won. But we both considered it a tie, and the best SSBM fight we both ever had.
