Resident Evil 4 (GC/PS2)
Oh my god, those guys with their eyes sown shut and the claws scare the shit out of me. O-O;; They are freaky. In Salazar's castle, I think its the foyer, theres two of them. They bastards made me scream when they ran at me, i mean literally screaming at the top of my lungs, thats how bad they scare me. Those claws, the growls, how they look....fucking scary. I love the main characters, Leon Kennedy is sooooo cute and Ashley Graham is adorable. Even if she is a bit of a ditz. That part where you have to shoot the things that are holding her to the wall. Ugh...after you set her free, she just curls up there and waits for them to grab her. What the fuck, Ashley!? Run! She just pisses me off sometimes shes so stupid. She lets herself get caught. Dumb broad. -.- She proves the saying that "Blondes are dumb", no offence meant to anyone. But she just proves it is all. And she ran into Salazar's traps, for god's sake, have some sense woman! Anyway, what did you think of Resident Evil 4? I'm rather enjoying it, just some of those freaks scare me to death, especially those bugs too, they melted off Leon's face in the sewer. Freaky. *barfs* Yea, so I had the Gamecube version, and I beat it, so I sold it. So, when I got my PS2, I bought Resident Evil the Essentials, it was a three pack of three resident evil games, which I love all of em. Included in the three pack was Resident Code Veronica X, Resident Evil the Outbreak, and REsident Evil 4, all for the pS2. It was a great deal. $40 for three games I love, it was so worth it. And now that I have the P2 version I can get all the cool costumes in it. This time I'm not trading it in! I wanna see Leon's Ganster outfit! D: But I gotta beat the game first, I got my work cut out for me, I know the game through, so its not too much of a Problem, except for the fact I have terrible aim and I use up bullets too quickly. I really need to upgrade my weapons firepower and capacity sooner...

I love this game, though I never found it particularly scary. Most of my suspense comes from, 'Man, I have to go beat those guy and they're going to kill me.' XD But I play this game for fun, and if I want scary I'll play Silent Hill or an earlier RE game.
I'm also not very good with shooting. I use up so many bullets. So then I try not using a gun, and I use up all my herbs. I liked Leon and Ashely too, and didn't have a problem with how she acted. She was in a strange place, and scared, and then she found out that she *spoiler*. I'd be a bit freaked out and not very rational, either. (Also, it's really cute how you can hide her in a dumpster and she'll pop out like a dog when you whistle.) |
I loooove RE4!! I've played 4 and the first one. Sadly haven't gotten around to buying the others yet. Either way, 4 is freakin' awesome. I love how much the enemies interact and actually THINK (you know, the way they duck and stuff). It makes game play much more interesting and hard. And I actually liked Ashley. Usually I hate female video game characters but I thought she was okay. Mostly just because you could shoo her away XD

The only reason I get scared is cause the monsters and noises make me jumpy and I scream when I get surprised or someone sneaks up on me. Its like, 'Oh my god! Where did that thing come from?!' You know what I mean? They give me the heebie jeebies. XD

I absolutely loved Resident Evil 4. I have it for the Gamecube. One of the best GCN games I've ever played. I agree that it wasn't nearly as scary as its predecessors. But the gameplay and storyline completely compensated. The new weapons and buying system is just icing on the cake. I love how they took the idea from the first theatrical Resident Evil movie, The Red Queen, by adding the laser hall where you have to dodge the various laser patterns. Id also like to comment on the button reactions during the gameplay and cinematics. It made players stay on point throughout the game, and not let their attention veer off, otherwise resulting in either death, or a big disadvantage such as losing a chunk of health. I heard Resident Evil 5 will have pretty much the same gameplay as Resident Evil 4, with the 3rd person perspective, as to the traditional fixed camera angles of its predecessors.
