FF sidegames ?
So i decided that as there isnt a Final Fantasy side game discussion..id make one.
It has come to my attention that my favourite side game, is Blitzball!!!!!! Why, because its like no ordinary game, and you get to interact with other teams. Almost like football (i hate football) But in water and with status effect. The best thing i like about Blitzball is my team is virtually Impossible to beat (im not being egotistical neither am i boasting x3) This is my team (Besaid Aurochs) Tidus (midfeilder) Zamzi Ronso (Goalie) Zalitz (right of tidus) Pah Guado (right of Zalitz) Argai Ronso (left of Tidus) Berrik (Left of Argai) My team has beaten all the Blitzballs teams and im very proud. So discuss which side game you like? Why? |
Personally I could never get the hang of that game. I loved triple triad.
I preffered it on FF8. |
I loved the Chocobo Sidequest in FFIX! It took you the entire game to finish and you could get so many rare items from it, including Zidane's ultimate weapon.
Besides, it was just too much fun flying around the world map on a golden Chocobo. xD;; |
I never won the blitzball game.. xP I'm too lazy to read all the rules.. o__o

My favorite would also have to be the Chocobo Side quest in Final Fantasy 9,but I also liked the card game in 9 as well :)

I love all of the card games. And the chocobo digging game in 9 :D
I got quite good at blitzball, but I never really warmed to it as I did with the other mini games. I was quite miffed that 12 didn't really have a mini game. I wouldn't really class the hunts as games :P |
I haven't played much FF but I liked the motorcycle minigame in FFVII

I enjoyed Triple Triad best of all the FF games, but Blitzball is fun as well, and the Sphere Break game from X2 is becoming more fun now that I have gotten better at it! XII's fishing game is a nice way to relax and kill some time as well.

I was painfully rubbish at Blitzball because I could never be bothered to read through and make sure I understood all the rules. My team could get up to the goal but then they would just miss nearly every time. I was a lot better in FF X2 when I just picked them and they just all swam about for themselves!
I thought Sphere Break was going to be another confusing game and that I would struggle through the necessary games but it's quite fun, and rewarding when you get into it. |
I never read the rules or the guides for Blitzball..... I just guess it all and now my characters have over 2000HP for the Blitzball games XD
I never really got the Blitzball games in the FFX-2 tho >.< |
Ohh, I loved Blitzball in FFX, not so much in X-2 though. I didn't like it at first, but then I started playing it later on and ended up loving it. I always make sure to get Tidus' Jecht Shot, so scoring with him is easy. XD
My favorite side game would be Triple Triad. It's just so much fun. I also liked sphere break, but I am very unlucky and always have my chains broken. I did get lucky and get the Lady Luck sphere on my first try, but I don't really play Sphere Break that often. Another one that I liked was the chocobo raising/racing in FFVII. That's one of the only things I liked about that game, and I keep hoping they reintroduce it in another. The closest we got was in X-2, and that wasn't as much fun. |
I loved playing blitzball! I mean, I didn't win every time, but I still loved it!

The 'Chocobo Hot or Cold' mini-game in IX was brilliant, I loved it. XD

I enjoyed Blitzball on X, but not on X-2. I don't know why but.. X-2's just wasn't as enjoyable. But with X its quite easy to train an unbeatable team.
Though I also enjoy Triple Triad from VIII, I can spend hours playing the game and will restart each time I lose a game >.<; And then there was the hunts/marks from XII, if that counts as a side game o.0 |
Tetra Master! The Card game in IX!! It was bugging me but I just remembered. I loved that game! XD
