The safest thing to do is go through your control panel > add/remove hardware (or whatever it's called on Vista, I can't remember) and removing it that way, or removing it via the "uninstall" option it probably has in one of its folders. That will ensure that no harm will come to your system.
Out right deleting it probably won't cause any trouble at all, either, but will almost definitely leave some .dll files or something that will just take up space. The leftover files probably won't cause any trouble.
Either way, you're safe to remove trial hardware like that. ;)
