Generation five is only days away from being announced! The official site has announced Generation 5! Pokemon Black and White!

Sunday April 11th it will be announced on Pokemon Sunday in Japan. Furthermore, the 15th, Coro Coro will be releasing details about it.

The eager Pokemon Fans across the world and here in Menewsha excitedly await any announcements! You heard it first here, Menewsha! Lets hope for another Main Character girl who is awesome looking.

What are features you would like to see in Generation 5?

What are types you'd hope to see combined? (Lucario was unique being a Steel Fighting type, or Toxicroak's Poison Fighting)

What are features you'd like to see in the upcoming game? Any features from older games you'd like incorporated?

Continuation of Pokemon Following you. Adorable feature that I LOVE in Gold and Silver.
New ways to utilize the 3D abilities of the DS without being tacky.
Pokelon is an absolute blast in Gold and Silver. I find myself cheering on my little Pokemon as they scramble around stomping the competition. I'd like to see it back!
More interactive environments.

Theme?

We've had basic...Japanese, Earth, Sky, and Sea, Time and Space...maybe Life and Death?

I hope to see some more baby evolutions. XD

They are so cute and cuddly.

Also, I would like to see a dolphin or a flamingo themed Pokemon. XD

Already, 5th Gen is being announced? I'd give it a good year+ before I'd want to get into a whole new game after Diamond/Pearl --> HeartGold/SoulSilver.
Though I'm still very curious to know what new features they will implement. I can't say what I expect or hope for.
I adore plenty that they've become so interactive with multiplay, and the WFC is just Amazing !
As long as they keep it up with that aspect, I'm good.

Neo = New

Precious Gem = Valuable Gemstone that tends to be the theme of the games.

Since we dont have a name yet...lol.

Ah well, I know what the words mean ~ I just thought it had something to do with the official name of the new gens - D: And if it was, I'd was gonna comment on it, cause that name would be totally out of sync with the rest of the series ~

I've been hearing about Generation Five and was pretty surprised since the remake of second gen literally had just come out in America last month. In terms of what I hope to see? If they do the pokemon following more, I'll be thrilled. I also agree with Sakura- baby evolutions are always amazing. ^^ It'd be neat to have either contests or pokeathlon in it too. I really like the pokegear and the like, so something along those lines (preferably with a phone) would be a good feature to me. Anything else I can think of? Not off hand but it'll come to me :3

I hope they don't decide to redo the 3rd generation until Nintendo comes out with a better gaming system. I'd really like to see Pokémon advance more than possible with the DS.

Well, Nintendo has already announced their new portable console.
The 3DS. Something like, but not like the Virtual Boy. o 3o

If it comes soon enough for the 5th gen pokemon games, maybe it'll come out for the 3DS.
The console will be reverse compatible with the DS/DSi games anyway.

Well, the versions feel very one-sided this time. Kinda makes it harder (for me at least)
to choose which one I'd buy . ^. And if not both, then I'd have a hard time choosing which I'd use for my master file.

I forget that the old first gens were called by colors and not gems/metals.
I imagine the third one would be called Grey/Gray or something? ...though it doesn't have a good ring to it.

I'm not sure whether I'd pick Black or White, personally.
I love how the names are so... refreshingly simple. It's totally the best marketing strategy since HeartGold/SoulSilver, which in and of itself was pretty damn smart.

I'm so thrilled, anyway, to say the least!
I hope we get some info, and soon! I think my choice will come down to the Pokemon offered in the version... Which is rarely my choice. I'm lame. :roll:

Brand new information revealed!

Serebii.net has the latest on the Pokemon White and Black versions.

Apparently, it takes the world of 3D into a new perspective, broadening towns, bridges, buildings, and everything to new levels. Also, trainers have far more pixels in the overworld itself. The battle arena is also very different, featuring full pixelated pokemon from front and back in the arena.
