How dare you, sir! *sob*
 

Recently I've been on IMDB looking for harsh reviews of my favourite TV shows, and a couple of movies.

I can't handle it. xD
I get really depressed and upset. I also start thinking "Maybe they're not that good... maybe I obsess over them for nothing?" D:

But then I go watch them again and I realise I still love them. ^^ <3

Anyone else get like that? xD
Maybe not doubt whether they're good, but do harsh reviews of your most favourite shows make you upset like meh? :'D

Yeah, but I've learned that critics hate everything, unless it's a "Stuipid Comedy Movie" For some reason, those always get good reviews instead of the shows/movies that deserve them.

Critic reviews usually don't change what I think of a movie in general, if I like it, I like it and if I dislike, it stays that way in my head.

@Pearl: Not really. I don't really care about what the critics think.
If my friends tell me a movie is no good, then I watch it, just to see if they were right. (Most times they are, but others, I'm all like "you're an idiot")

I fully acknowledge that everything I love isn't necessarily good.

I also fully acknowledge that I have strange tastes from time to time. :)

see when people bash my fave shows/movies/bands/songs and what not i tend to get defensive and give reasons as to why their good, sure it often leads to debates but theres always the chance my view can alter them, because i tend to remain unchanged

I don't usually let it upset me. I mean, everyone likes different things, so I know that some time or other I'm going to meet someone who absolutely hates something I love. The only time it annoys me is when they say something like, "Only an idiot would like this movie," or "If you actually liked this movie, I'm going to come to your house, destroy your TV, kick your dog, and beat you with that horrible movie."

...And yes, I have seen people say things like that. Some people over at IMDB can get pretty harsh. o_o Though, the worst ones I've seen are on some horror movie forum. I can't remember the name of it, but when I google a movie for more info, it pops up a lot and there's almost always at least one person going overboard on bashing a movie they don't like, and the people who do.

Everyone has different likes and dislikes, but people who are critics are usually only focused on how the mainstream will like things, don't take things close to heart. Heck my own sister says this one show I like is stupid, I don't listen though :P
