Does anyone remember Pepper Ann and Braceface? I dunno why, but those two shows I really remember. I think they were in the nineties - early 2000's era.

not sure about Braceface but Pepper Ann is pretty awesome. The characters are really funny and it was one of the cartoons that showed humour in its wit instead of just being straight out funny. It made you think before you could actually laugh. Or it didn't make you laugh but you knew it was sarcasm ^^" I thought Pepper Ann was one of those Disney cartoons that started out the trend for cartoons directed towards the tweens and teenagers. It was pretty brilliant for that era! :)

And similar to Pepper Ann. I think Doug was like that too. To me, Doug was probably the male Pepper Ann with a bit less drama. But it still made you think a lot and he was so mellow but yet you knew he was a pretty cool dude.

I really love this topic! It makes me want to go back and watch some old stuff... Does anyone remember dungeons and dragons too? ;)

I think at that time, I was really watching them both at once because they showed Doug again when Pepper Ann was airing. And back then, I never really compared the two just treating them as two completely different cartoons altogether. Only after posting have I realized the similarities between the two. ^^ I love Doug because I realized that they don't distinguish the characters based on skin colour or race, hence the multi-coloured skin. I just realized it was teaching children how to accept everyone for who they are and not because of their background or race. A very educational cartoon. Pepper Ann was more into the teenage drama and facing teenage problems compared to Doug. Doug somehow seemed more into life's problems as a whole. If I were to choose which one I liked better, I'd definitely go with Doug :)

I don't really know what kind of Saturday Morning cartoons were aired because we had cartoons everyday on cable. Before that I probably remember when I was in kindergarten, I would come home at 11am to watch Captain Planet on TV! It was really famous here and we would always get 5 people to do the 'Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Heart! Go Planet!' call and then we'd all laugh about it after that! It's still fun to reenact it with friends even now. I don't realy remember much cartoons when I was around 5-8 because we usually had those Japanese cartoons that were horribly dubbed in English shown on local TV here...

I used to get really annoyed at Ed Edd and Eddy. I thought it was so stupid and it gave me headaches everytime because it was so squiggly lol..

That show was so creepy but I still watched it anyway. Now Cartoon Network is weird. It shows really old action movies and a lot of superhero cartoons. You know when I was a kid watching the cartoons I didn't get that half of it was offensive to some people like Cow and Chicken..and they make a lot of bathroom jokes

They really do need to bring some of those old shows back again. I really miss a lot of them.

I'm pretty sure I loved every one of these shows. And the shows nickelodeon has now are pathetic.

I loved pepper ann and courage the cowardly dog, when I was younger I watched thunder cats and pirates of dark water, I went back and watched thundercats again and couldn't stop laughing it's a cartoon with bad acting! How does that happen?

Dude, Pepper Ann was the shnit! Still is! Did anyone else watch One Saturday Morning? I think it was on ABC. It was awesome. And Kablam! was a must watch. Prometheus and Bob, Lupey, Action League Now, Sniz and Fondue. Gotta love them. I still watch Thundercats and Voltron. I try to find as many episodes as I can.

Oh I missed Loony Toons and Animaniacs.
Animaniacs was the collection of Pink and Brain, Yacko Wacko and Dot, Slappy the squirrel, and Mittens and Buttons.
I loved Yacko's sing-along songs! Anyone ever try to sing with Yacko on the Nations of the World? I tried so hard!!

Ooo, I know the Wacko song about the states and their capitals! I memorized it as a little kid and still use it. I miss Animaniacs so much. T_T

I'm only fourteen, so I'm not sure that many of the cartoons I'll list count as 'old,' but they are to me. XD;

Pinky and the Brain; The above are all lines that come to mind when I think of Pink and the Brain, or even when it's just mentioned. XD When ever Pinky is always pondering the "same" thing as Brain, I always end up wondering just what he was thinking, then immediately wondering if I want to know. o_o I love that show, I really do. :'D They always manage to get into the worst situations, but still push forward to do the same thing they do every night... trying to take over the world!

Animaniacs; THIS. Animaniacs was- in my opinion- the best kind of cartoon. The kind that taught you life facts, didn't candy-coat, and wasn't afraid to say the truth, but still had us laughing by the end of it. XD I really think that more of the current cartoons should start taking after Animaniacs. They made learning fun, for me at least. P: Heck- thanks to them, I've almost memorized all of the countries in the world!

Freakazoid; Freak is the superhero. :'D Any superhero that runs around in red underwear with spiky hair and changes between 'alter egos' by shouting FREAK IN/OUT! is okay in my book. I mean, come on- the guy is bat shit crazy! XD Which is why we love him, of course.

Johnny Bravo; The only thing I can remember about it is that Johnny was always trying to pick up girls. P: That and he didn't want girl scout cookies (as the whole episode based off of Green Eggs and Ham showed) and thought that time had stopped because the VCR kept flashing 12:00.

Dexter's Laboratory; The kid had a secret lab under his house, completely unknown about by his parents. I... I really loved how Dee Dee kept bugging him and annoying him when ever he was working on a project. XD;

Reboot; It's a cartoon. Based in a computer. And we users are a sort of god. 'Nuff said? X3 Too bad there aren't more people who watched it. D:

Most of my childhood was restricted to watching those specific shows over and over and over again until I wore out the tapes we used to record them on Saturday mornings. XD
