House on Haunted Hill from the 1950s.
They knew how to make scary movies back then! None of this shock value stuff, only true blue horror. Sure it was cheesy and isnt that scary today, but its still my favorite scary movie ever!

Weirdly enough, i woke up about 2 hours ago to my roommate watching Saw 2. You are never as scared as when you are sound asleep and you wake up to the puppet asking "Would you like to play a game?". You do not go back to sleep after that!

I can never watch scary movies, I get scared so easily.
I'd just shiz my pants all the way through.
I've heard the ring or something is super scary.

This thread is better suited for the Media forum. But seeing as we already have a thread discussing horror films, i've gone ahead and merged the two. ;)

I'm not very scared of scary movies. Most of the story lines don't make sense to me. But I did watch Delta Force 2, and I'll probably never watch it ever again. There was a part where they were going to kill a little baby, and I just stopped right there. ):

If I absolutely had to pick a scary movie though, it would probably be Audition.
Needles in peoples tongues still creeps me out.

The only movie that ever scared me enough to turn it off and never watch it again was Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I don't know if I should be ashamed of that or not. All the other horror movies I've watched were fun, but ultimately not scary at all; the only movie to get under my skin was TCM. :/

Silent Hill scared me a LOT. ;; I've been wanting to rewatch it recently, but I don't know if I can. Also, Pan's Labyrinth really scared/upset me. It didn't help that the cinema I went to with my friends was really full, so I had to sit next to a stranger and there was no one I could hide with when it got too bad. XD

Japanese horror films tend to creep me out more than scare me, and they have interesting plots. Ring and Pulse are probably my favourites. Oh, and the American remake of Pulse is good for laughs. The ghost in the washing machine, especially. :'D

A horror film that I thought was going to be terrible was the Korean film The Wig. I'll admit, I judged it by its title and laughed, and I decided to watch it to see how bad it was. Contrary to my expectations, the 'reason' for the events of the film was actually pretty interesting. And I think it does a good job of getting you to a place where you can suspend your disbelief, too.

I don't really get spooked by horror films, I love the Childs Play films, IT, Nightmare on Elm St and pet Semetery! Plus Final Destenation 1,2,3

I never really got scared by them but they are awesome!

I usually prefer comedy films though :)

I'd have to say the original Amittyville Horror, The Exorcist, the original Psycho, the original The Haunting (the newer one wasn't bad either), and the original The Shining. Can you tell I like the older ones? There was one called Shrooms that I really like-freaky wierd, but I liked it. The Grudge, both Japanese and American, but the Japanese version was much better-I think the Japanese make much better scary movies compared to the American version. I'm not into slasher movies, they're not really scary to me, but the first Halloween, Friday 13, and Nightmare on Elm street were ok.

At the moment I don't really know the scariest horror movie I've ever seen, but "The Exorcist" really freaked me out at some scenes xD

Movies that kept me paranoid for days are the Saw series, Final Destination 3, The Tale of Two Sisters. Movies that made me sick to the stomach while watching are Hostel and Hills Have Eyes. The scariest movie I have ever seen, however, is Silent Hill. At first glance, it's not too frightening, but if you watch the details and begin to grasp what Silent Hill is... it's absolutely terrifying, and the slightest hint of morning fog makes you cry.

I know it sounds wierd, but i didnt like House of Wax, well actualyl the only scary part was when he cut the end of her finger off, i screamed.
Its wierd, not many people are like me i watch a scary movie nearly every night but yet i dont get scared, Saw 3, I think it was, yeah, the twister thing, blech, i nearly threw up, i get grossed out but not scared, thats the thing lol, Saw movies are just vile and teasing at the same time, its wierd to see how people end out.
Prom Night was wierd because you didnt really get the begining, but you get into it and its like "OMG NOOO! Hes next :@" you just know whats going to happen and thats whats good, the thrills of it waiting to happen,
who agrees? xD

The scariest movie I've ever seen was The Ring. It was so scary and I don't think I'll ever want to watch it again. I was creeped out. Ever since I've seen it; but here are a list of other scary movies I have watched . Just some of them.

The Grudge
When a Stranger Calls
Scary Movies (the collection)
Etc.. and more.

OH MY GOSH and I have seen Prom Night. I was kind of scared because of the Guy who kept on stalking the blonde girl. I just wanted to jump and yell 'Stop' lol.
But I so hated it when he killed her best friends JUST to reach her. But he ended up trying to kill her. -.-

There aren't a lot of movies that actually SCARE me, but there are a lot that creep me out. Some of the ones that did manage to scare me a bit are:

Silent Hill, Children of the Corn, The Grudge, Shutter, and numerous J-Horror movies that may or may not have American remakes.

Mainly, it's the little kids or the suspense that makes me shiver. Like in Silent Hill, the demon Cheryl REALLY creeped me out, especially while dancing in the "red rain" as my mother dubbed it. That's just disturbing.

I dont get scared watching horror movies. I have been watching them singce I was a little girl. My favorite horror movie would be the Decent. IT was done very well. There is a fine life between a Good horror movie and a Bad one. The Decent is one of the best horror movies to come out. I loved it.
