Paper Face Parade 08-30-2009 05:57 PM

I really want to see this. The trailer was good, and I loved the book when I was a kid so that makes me want to go see it even more. But, knowing me and my luck with movies, when ever I get hyped up to go see something it turns out to be a real bummer. I should blame that on myself though because I probably get too excited.

I loved that book ^^
I really want to see the move that is coming out.

Where The Wild Things Are

I simply cannot wait for this movie to come out! I've been excited since I first saw a trailer back in like March or April. It looks like it's going to be totally amazing! I loved the book growing up and I'm anxious to see how the film turns out.

I know a lot of people are anti book to movie, but I saw a thing about the movie and Maurice Sendak (the author) said he was really impressed with what Spike Jonze (the director) was doing/did with it. He made it clear it was NOT exactly the book, but Sendak also made the comment that Jonze was able to take the story idea and keep the ideas and concepts of his (Sendak's) vision while also making it his own.

How often do you hear an author give such a great statement?

If you haven't seen the trailer's, here's one:

Gods, I was so jealous when I found out my dad had met Maurice Sendak many time >__< No fair!

Watching the trailer for the movie I find that I'm impressed with what I saw so far. When I first heard about them making a movie I was not to happy. Especially with the outcome of many other movies that had been hyped up and ended being a let down. I must admit that I too feel like being a big kid again and I do plan on going to see it. Let's hope its not like so many other movies before it. And leaves the audience in a let down.

Also I love the book. I even still have a copy of it myself.

I desperately want to see the film! I hope it is as good as it looks to be. The animation and character designs look very to to the original illustrations, and that makes me incredibly happy.

I've been hyperventilating for about 6 months because of this movie. I saw some weird teaser stuff a long time ago in March on Fandango.com. I need to see this. Where the Wild Things Are was my favorite book as a kid. Still is! I've been entering so many WTWTA contests and watching clips, the trailer, and listening to the soundtrack and looking at photos. I am just so excited. My fiance is supposed to take me to see it. I can not wait. This will be the best date ever. Best movie ever as well.

Where the Wild Things Are

Where the Wild Things Are comes out this week and I don't know about anyone else but I'm wicked excited. From all of the trailers I've seen it looks like they did a really good job translating the book into a movie format. What do you guys think?

where.the.wild.things.are.

i just saw it. i loved it more than i thought i would, and my standards were high. i did feel like that there could have been more to the plot, like there were only a few things done, broken up into several scenes. i am not going into it because i strongly recommend you see it. i thought the camera was great, and the sets were mind bottling. i stepped out of the movie theater, and into the movie. the characters sucked you in that much.

pros: great acting, great sets, great camera, amazing songs, good plot, not too childish, good plot timing

cons: i wished there would have been more scenes, instead of those big events in a few scenes.

i give it five out of five stars.
nine out of ten.
don't skip it, but don't wait for it to come out on dvd, see it asap.

what do you think?

did you see it? did you love it or hate it?

do you want to see it?

would you resee it?

speak your mind here about the maurice sendack creation brought to life by spike jonze
