Would this be a good idea for youtube?
 

hey guys,

I was wondering would it be a cool idea to make a new account on youtube for anime detour. I have been trying to become a youtube star for some time or to get some recognition for my vids besides flamming or not high view rates. and I thought well I love anime detour and I know personally after I go I look up videos of people at the event to see some of the things I missed. The problem with that is , is that most of the videos are cosplay slide shows or 2 second dances.

Like for me I want to see something epic like what I recorded this year with the dancing in the rave party.



I want a inside look of the event. I want to see actual anime dances done . I want to see fights. I want to see skits everything. So I figured why not let me try . Try to show you how to make hats, cosplays, the works as best I can and give you inside looks. wouldn't that be cool.

well I don't only want to just be a star but I just want to show people anime detour. and of course my videos will be much better this was one I did this year before even thinking of this idea. I figured if I did anything like this I would try to make it awesome with my resources.

Is their anything your going to want to see. I know how to make those anime animal hats I can teach those.:sweat:

I got harassed online cos of Boxxy. Someone posted my Gaia account cos her username was my location and I got so many people trying to add my MySpace, getting pissed off that I looked nothing like her. I was like WHUT D:< THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM, NOT MINE. Some guys even called me ugly. My self-esteem died for the longest time. ;3; Stupid /b/ =u=

On Topic: I don't watch stuff on Youtube that often, so I don't think that my opinion would matter to you. But it seems like you're trying too hard. My friends joined Youtube a while ago and they started posting videos of them having fun and "being random"
I don't think anyone outside of our group of friends saw the videos. Most people just don't care since there are so many kids out there trying to be famous on the 'net. :/
But to me, it's kinda like... either you have it, or you don't.

They certainly need better recording. And your surroundings should be a lot brighter.

I enjoy watching Tutorials and Cosplay photos.

I was going to include videos like :
About us (duh)
Builds
How to's
cosplays (with make up tutorials added if needed)
skits
maybe contests
uh.. stuff never recorded at anime detour.
Snapshots of anything anime really
Rants/vlogs
um. and submissions from other youtubers.

I want to include other people in this to from around the world like they do with their let's plays not just from us.
keep the ideas coming I only have 3 vid ideas and thats it I need more. heh

Hmmm, sounds like a good idea to me. But I do think though that you really shouldn't aim to be some kind of Youtube star-just start small and if your stuff suddenly get popular than play it as you go from there. It's alot better to make vids because it's cool and you enjoy it rather than make them and risk feeling bitter later on if no one watches.

Personally, I'd really like to see tutorials on how to make long flowy dress (like Gardevoir's *cough cough*)

Well. If you really want to become a you-tube star then go for it. I personally don't like anime much, I think that some of the drawings are cool and I use some pics in RPs and that but if I was on youtube and looking for something to watch I am afraid I wouldn't be searching for that. I usually search for music vids or things others have told me is funny. Its mostly music vids.

If you enjoy making vodeos why aim to be a youtube star, if it is something that you like and enjoy why not aim higher? Why don't you try and make it proper big time?

thanks. is there anything you would like to see? cause I have yet to start recording cause I don't know what to start in til anime detour really . besides a about us video . and a uploaded vid from last year and maybe one build. any make up or anything you would like me to try to recreate?

As most have said mainly comedians get popular. you have to be really good.

...youtube star? That's kinda... well... dumb.
It's just a site, and it doesn't really matter how popular you would be. And you kinda contradicted yourself later on the first page by saying that's not what you wanted.

The only thing I can think of is if you get something like maybe a network going I suppose where it has a bunch of people that way it can expand more. But I, myself, am not one to really cosplay or even go to conventions.

And yes comedians are the ones that are viewed most. I often look for them and music.

Anyways, as I was saying. Get a bunch of people to help do it with videos and such. And don't have some videos as dark... I started watching the one you put up but stopped after awhile in the rave so I've no idea what the rest of it was.
