Confessions of a Shopaholic, anyone? :3
Okay, so I obviously missed if there was already a thread about this movie made. So here's another. -_-
At first, I wasn't sure what to expect and I thought it would end up being an "okay, glad I waited to borrow it from the library and not waste $10 to see it" movie and still cute, but.... I totally loved it. o.o Like, really liked it! O.O I was quite surprised, it's probably because I love shopping so much myself. But I thought the plot was well set up and the acting was great and everything seemed to fit together nicely. It wasn't too corny or chick-flicky. Well, not that any guy I know would want to watch it...so, maybe it was chick-flicky. But I still love it. xD Your thoughts on it? =o |
I haven't seen it yet but it's definitely one of the next movies I'm going to rent.
Can't wait...! ^^ |
I really like the movie but i can't stand the book.
|
I had to walk out of the room a few times, but I thought it was fine.
|
It's a great movie, but the main plot is over-worked.
You find it in most chick-flicks. I want to read the book. My sister says that the book is even better than the movie. |
I loved the movie! Isla Fisher is adorable, and I felt I could semi-relate to the movie about being a shopaholic. XD (Don't worry, I don't run up gigantic credit card bills.)
I also loved looking at the clothes in the movie. :3 Whoever did styling and wardrobe for that movie did it pretty well. |
I love, love, LOVED the book series in high school and took a copy of one of the books wherever I went.
However, I'm not so keen on the movie because they changed a lot of things around (as usual with book-to-film things) and so it does not quite stick to the original plot. I pictured Derek Smeath as an old guy, not one of the husbands from Stepford Wives (and yes, I checked IMDB for him because I knew he looked familiar to me). I didn't expect that everything would take place in New York, and that Suze would get married right away, but I guess they just wanted to put the first three books together somehow. Guess they're not planning to make a sequel any time soon. Fashion-wise, I do like the styles, especially her purple frilly top that she wears on live TV. Additionally, I do admit I'm a shopaholic but absolutely refuse to use a credit card. I just wait for my allowance. |
it was good...but didnt make me laugh enough!!!
|
I loved it. Good movie. Funny in the begining but then towards the end it got serious ; ; But was good none the less.
|
I loved the movie! So funny xD The ending was priceless though<3 And Hugh Dancy is awesome
|
I really like that movie i thought that it was really cute!
|
I loved that film, I went up and saw it in the cinema, the clothes in it were absolutely gorgeous! I would give anything to be able to have a wardrobe like that, without the thousands upon thousands of pounds worth of debt that goes with it though. I thought that it was really good but sadly the adverts didn't sell the silm overly well. I thought that the film looke OK when I saw the first ad but by the time the film was over I was really impressed with it. I would reccomend it to anyone :D

Oh i really like the clothes in that movie they are cool!
|
This film really fell flat for me. I wasn't expecting much out of it (it's not my type of movie) and it pretty much fulfilled that obligation very well. It was just such a cookie cutter chick flick.
But I hate shopping and I didn't read the book, so I'm not really in their target audience. |
awww i liked it a lot!
