I think they had to make a fourth one, especially after giving jack a map at the end of number three.
I never really got into those movies, I saw the second one but never really watched completely the first, for some reason they just never really grabbed my attention. I'm sure they are good movies though.
It does, but I still wonder if its being chrome has anything to do with the movie or if it is just that way so that it's in your face and people realize that a new POTC is coming out.
Maybe it's because the previous movies, everyone was mortal. [Except Davy Jones and his crew, along with the curse from the first movie.] And with the new movie based around the fountain of youth, chrome is to represent eternal life?
Idk. That was just from the top of my head.
Ha. Thanks.
My friend should actually put his creativity to use for Disney. He's way more creative than I am. And funny thing is, he's never watched a Disney movie when he was younger. [Pre-17]
I find it rather amusing. xD
And my brother watched the trailer, and he's not really into the pirates movies, but he says he's going to see this one because it looks awesome.
Eh. I think most people will still go see it, but the problem is that it's kind of turned into a "Twilight" thing. Everyone is going to claim that it's crap but they're going to secret off to the midnight release just like everyone else. Not that I am saying that POTC is even comparable to the bad-ness that is the Twilight saga of movies. Books = okay. Movies = waste of the film used to make them.
I think Elysium means that most people will claim that it's gone beyond storytelling into simple profiteering... like "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner."
I see. Yeah, I can understand that. That's what I thought at first. But from what I can see from the trailer, it looks good so far. And they included yet another historic aspect: Black Beard!
Unlike Twilight, that uses fan service to gain fans and butcher fictional creatures. :|
Carzee hit the nail on the head for what I meant. I still think that Disney is trying to suck all the money they can out of the POTC saga, though. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like they've produced a bad POTC movie to do so. I'll be interested to see the quality of the movie when it comes out. Seems like old Cap'n Jack might've got shot by Cupid.
Johnny Depp is a smart actor, he chooses his roles carefully. If the script doesn't appeal to him then he wont consider it. He was only contracted to make three movies, when the director and producers came to him with idea for two more films, he was really against it, but they handed him a script and he thought it was going to be a success, so he signed the new contract. I believe in his choice, he has never made a terrible movie, until recently which was The Tourist. If 4 and 5 of PotC cant capture me like the first three, I'll be highly disappointed.
Yeah, there's two more coming out. The next one and a 5th one.
At least, that's what I've heard so far from all these articles I read about on this series.
