So did anybody see the trailer during the Super Bowl last Sunday?
I missed it because my power went out half way through. D:
New scenes and such. Saw it online. Made me smile~
Looks like Captain Jack and Penelope are going to get it on with the romance a little more than I had been expecting. I hope they don't make him too sappy. >.> That just wouldn't do.

There always has to be some kind of romance in every movie. Sure Captain Jack was all nice and friendly to Elizabeth, but not so much as what the new movie is implying.
The old movies got the romance over with by using Will and Elizabeth. I always thought they were kind of annoying, though. As long as they don't turn Jack and Penelope into another Will and Elizabeth, it'll be fine.
As to the jar of dirt joke...it's a myth where I live that an old indian cursed us white men to have to take a jar of dirt with us whenever we leave our town, or we're forever cursed to return no matter how hard we try to stay away. I've yet to test this phenomenon.
Lol. And the whole burning rum scene from the first movie.
Elizabeth: "That smoke is over a mile high...the entire British navy is out looking for me, do you seriously think that they won't see that?"
Jack: "Yes...but why is the rum gone?"
Then the whole...
"Elizabeth...nice to see you...hide the rum!"
Captain Teague makes me smile every time I see him in the third movie, too. Doesn't matter that he doesn't have any hilariously funny lines. :)
There are so many things in the pirate universe that need to be explained.
Sure the books explained Jacks hat, but I would like to see it on the big screen. D:
I wonder if Calypso is going to make another appearance or at least be mentioned...
If they're going to put that stuff on the big screen it's going to be in the very last movie. They have to do something to keep us coming back in such hoards.
I was so tweaked off when Calypso turned out to be a crazy control freak of a goddess. She was such an awesome character...then I ended up hating her more than Davy Jones. Hell, I even shed a tear for old Davy when I found out what she'd done to him.
I didn't like how she was Calypso. I mean, make her a shape shifter but not 50 feet tall who yells in a foreign tongue and becoming many crabs. That was just lame. .__.
I know. If there was ever a wtf moment, it was that. She couldn't have at least turned into a 50 foot woman made out of sea water? Now that would have been sick.
