To be honest, I thought that her turning into crabs was pretty creative. It showed how much a part of the sea she was as a goddess, but the giant thing was both badly done graphically, and odd.
And hopefully she won't be. I don't think Penelope has the ability to play an annoyingly slow woman like Elizabeth Swan was. Never seen Penelope in a movie other than Nine (which I hated) so I can't really judge her yet.
There are no holidays around my birthday...in fact, my birthday tends to get forgotten because it's at the end of the school year and nobody pays attention to it, lol. So me gusta this year.
Even the third movie was downhill, and I believe people said after that one would be the last. Sooooooooooo Disney Sellout? Completely. But is it to be still decent? Well considering Disney maybe not, but we could get lucky.
Although the trailers already have me shifting eyes... <.<
I liked the third movie personally, and nobody believed me when I said there would be a fourth one. so :P to all the nay-sayers. It was kind of obvious, I mean, Jack had the fountain of youth map at the end of the third one. Stands to reason that he'd use it.
Well. There wasn't technically going to be a fourth one...so yeah. This is a sellout, truly. If it happens to be a good movie *shrugs* then Disney's done a good job selling out, lol.
There's also a fifth one already in pre-production. I intend to make that thread as soon as I get any info on it at all. I've really enjoyed keeping this thread up to date with Pirates of the Caribbean stuff.
@Carzee: Yeah. I'm from the United States. :) My semester ends on the 8th of May because I'm a college student. It ended on like...the 25th of May when I was in high school. And yeah, that's when summer starts for us...though I'm going to do summer school too, so not much of a summer for me. :P

Yet another new video! This time an interview! We finally find out that Penelope Cruz is playing Black Beard's daughter and her name in the movie is Angelica! Some new never before seen clips reside within. :)

Zomg! That just makes me want to see the movie even more!!!

I think the word chemistry will change its meaning after...
Chemistry to me: Two things reacting to each other in exciting ways. Naw, I don't think it'll change its meaning.
Elysium: We don't even HAVE summer school in New Zealand as far as I know, and our school year finishes in november/december. November for me because I'm a senior, but my brother's in year ten (uhh, ninth grade?) and he finishes in December.
Haha, yeah. Everything is all topsy turvy with the seasons between the northern and southern hemispheres. It's so odd to me to picture December without snow, and I'm sure it's weird for you to picture June and July as sunny and hot...like fry a fish on the dashboard hot. Lol.
Summer school is an optional thing...unless you're in high school or younger and you absolutely flunked something and are being forced to retake it in the summer. I'm just a masochist who always has to be involved in some sort of work to feel fulfilled. I'm also going to be in college for quite some time, so I figure the more I do now, the earlier I'll be free in the future. Thus, summer classes. :XP

Yeah...I'm still holding back on whether or not I'm going to like Penelope. If it turns out she has some real personality and they don't water her down for the sole purpose of being a sex symbol to entice viewers into the movie, we'll be okay. I can't honestly tell how well she's played her role through the few trailers we have so far.
Christmas with snow seems weird to me! It never snows where I live (even in winter), so if it snowed here in the middle of summer, something would have to be seriously stuffed up!
She looks pretty good to me... But I'm focusing on the jokes more than anything, so maybe I can't tell if it's actually good or not.
I've seen a review or two, the only reason I'm not seeing this in theaters is because I'm not paying a huge 3D ticket for just fancy water and fog. Sounds like the "3D" was just enough to earn a higher ticket and the title on the movie.
I'm surprised by what people are saying though. Surprisingly it doesn't sound that bad at all.
@Project: Well, the thing has a regular version, you know? And it actually has way more showings than the 3-D one, at least everywhere I live. Also, the 3-D stank. Not in the fact that it was bad 3-D, but in the sense that it was extremely unnecessary and unimpressive 3-D.
Honestly, it was pretty decent. Turned out not to be a sell out, but I could tell that it was done by a different director, and I think Penelope Cruz sucks as an actress. She's always monotone and has it in her head that looking sexy is all she needs to do to be a brilliant actress.
I positively LOVE the story of the second and third POTC's, so it wasn't hard for me to be ever so slightly disappointed by this one. Still, it wasn't really that bad at all.
Ooo. I want all the posters! I have one of them of Jack looking upward and the ship and mermaids in the background. Got it opening night!
Honestly, I wasn't all that impressed with this movie, it was entertaining, yes, but it didn't have the same magic and charm as the other three. I think it could of been done a lot differently. Plus there were so many things unexplained and pointless, I feel it was too jumpy as well. And did you notice that Jacks hair is partly blond now?
This is just my opinion, but I still enjoyed it. I did enjoy the ending though with Jack wiggling his fingers. xD <3
