Pushing Daisies
Confession: I'm a pie ho.
I'm in looove with this show. I was hooked on the first episode, which is pretty rare for me. The mood, the brightness and the eccentricities of the characters is just so special. It's a real pity that it had such a short life, but it was indeed a good one. Anyone else love with show? Favourite episodes/characters/quotes? Discuss |
I absolutly loved the show! I found it too be so adorable and inocent in a charming way. I loved whenever Olve would break into song. It was hilarious! Olive and Chuck were my favorites I think. But i also liked the guys too um i forgot their names..
I miss the series and feel it was treated very unfairly in the end. Rather than being canceled I though it should have been sold to another network. Speaking of the end some of the last episodes weren't that great I think they were cramming too much stuff into the show. Sadly I think it's demise was due to it never being able to recover from the writer's strike like so many shows. I also heard somewhere that the shows comcilusion was going to be summed up in a comic book. I like comic books but really that's not the way to do it. Stick with the same media base please so it all makes sense together. |
That show gave me a whimsicality overload. I'm usually all for it, but there was way to much in Pushing Daisies. Maybe I just didn't stick around long enough to see it bloom?
Pun not intended. :P |
i was all about this show when it first came out... i thought it was such a neat idea and unlike lots of the other crap that gets played on the television these days... then the writer strike thing happened and it was cut short... i heard it came back on after the strike was over, but i just kinda forgot about it... a shame really

It did for another season but it was inventually cancelled. They came back with three episodes to conclude the series some months ago. But I didn't realize this when I had caught a new episode one day thinking it was back on after the threats of it being cancelled. But I was wrong after looking online I found that it was one of those three conclusion episodes. I'm really bummed the series was never seen through properly. They rushed the story in the second season and parts didn't seem the same. It's unfortunate really I thought what they should have done was create a season deadline and end the season at three seasons no matter what. Then they would have had time to conclude it properly and still make it a sweet well thought out television series.

Not only were the characters and the idea appealing but the bright colours in it were a really refreshing change from other television programmes that are on nowadays. I found it always woke my eyes up. I liked the humour too. It wasn't perfect but if they had tried to cram a bit of everything in it would've ruined it. I still haven't seen the end of it... I suppose I'll have to rummage about the Internet. It was short but sweet and it was good while it lasted. |
yes i also think an internet rummaging is in order... i don't even remember where i left off so i'd probably have to start over again... i also got the feeling that it needed to be a somewhat slower story because there was a lot going on in the main plot and the many sub-plots... cramming definitely equals death!

This is probably my all-time favorite television show, absolutely adored it and it broke my heart when I heard it was being canceled.
There really wasn't a character I didn't like. I have loved all of brian fuller's shows though and all have ended too soon, from dead like me to wonderfalls, I love his brain. |
I love this show. It's still airing Season Two where I live though, and when it's over I'll miss the bright colours and silly dialogue. -3

I was so sad when they cancelled Pushing Daisies... It was one of the most creative shows on TV. I guess it just goes to show that America's viewing audience is far too simple to appreciate creativity and actual thought going into a TV show.
Much  for Ned! :XD |
