I think the girl who plays Bella is one of the ugliest people I've ever seen in my life, and Edward Cullen is a huge creeper

I completely agree. The actors the got to play these movies were not a good pick. D:

Anyway, I've never seen the first movie or read the books, and don't plan to.
Basically, I'm indifferent. It doesn't really affect me either way, because I never plan to see it. xD

LOL! I read the books before they were cool, so I have an attachment to them. The movies on the other hand.... YIKES! those actors really arent so grand!... I do think that they will get better as they go, but I dont think they will ever get good... lol

I won't be seeing it at midnight, but maybe sometime next week. You know, after all the Twifreaks have had their fill.

but i hear that it's just absolutely hilarious to go to a midnight showing;
i knew someone who went to a Harry Potter one and was just so entertained by how many people would dress up and pretend and actually think that they're the characters!

not to be mean to anyone who's going >__>;

All the tickets around here were sold out in way advanced lol. So, I'm not going <.< I wouldn't go though even if I had the chance. That's just too late for me...

I'm looking forward to it; I am a fan. I enjoy the series, and I understand how people who aren't fans can get frustrated with it because there are a great many fans who are so over the top with it, that even I can get annoyed with it. I enjoy the fantasy, the fictional romance that every girl (or at least, every impractical little girl who wants a fairytale to come true) dreams of. I used to be one of those little girls, so being able to see something I'd always daydreamed about in a movie like that is nice. And the vampire thing is cool, too.

I've been under the weather all week, so I won't be making it out to the midnight showing, and besides...it's been pouring here today, so I'm not going out in that weather. I will see it, though; I am looking forward to it. =)

Eh well as almost everyone said above I'm excited to see it. Though I'm not going to the midnight one. I'm probably going to go some time next week with my boyfriend. I've heard so many people make fun of it it's not even funny anymore. It's just gotten old. I know that many people don't like the movies or books but then there are people who do. I guess I'm one of them. I just get fired up when someone makes fun of something I like but I deal with it and ignore it. Everyone has an opinion to everyone. I respect that, but going on an hour rant about it, comon' Ah well, it'll soon die out just like Harry potter slowly is. I just don't like the fact that there are so many vampire things out there right now. Many t.v. shows and such. To stay on topic though, I am very excited but not totally going into a rampage about it, Haha. The storyline is ok but the actors I'm not so sure about.

I didn't realize people actually watched those movies. It's one thing to enjoy the books, and it's another thing to go to a midnight showing just to watch mouth-breathing and bad acting.

Just saying.

I agree with the second person. Kristian, I think her name is. She is ugly and how the hell did she get into movie business? Entertainment business? hell do I know what it's called. Robert is just stupid for playing a character who is a pedophile and an abusive person. He should have gone to jail. Kristian is just dumb for wanting to even play near him. =.=; Though I do want to watch it. I do like Twilight. XD Hey! The movie is good but the close up of their face wasn't. That annoyed me a lot of anger was gonna pop out then.

I do not care for the Twilight saga...movie or book. There are a lot better books out there for me to read.

The girl who plays Bella is cute, hot sexy...but cute..

The guy who plays Edward...is just creepy. He is hot in a creepy...stalker way.

Dr. Cullen...is freaking hot...so is the guy who plays Jasper.. O_O *swoon*

(Jacob is to young for me..but he is adorable)

My sister and mom went to the midnight showing...I will go see it tomorrow afternoon.

I would have to say that I liked the book better then the first movie...so we shall see how the second movie plays out compared to the book.

---

As Spongebob Square pants would say: Those who don't like the books, never read them.... lol

I felt the same way, I thought to myself how can they be good seeing that they are not your "typical vampire" story. But really, I fell in love the first time I saw the movie.

SPOILERX

The first movie...I would compare it to a female porn. All the cuddling, teasing, no actual sex. It left you feeling like... OMG...

I went to the midnight show last night and was very pleasantly surprised! The first movie had disappointed me, but the change in directors did wonders. The acting was much better now that they have some decent directing!

I work in a book store, so my coworkers and I have long debated this. I am the first to admit that, while I enjoyed them, the books SUCKED. The writing was just awful, really! *But* Meyer stumbled upon characters and themes that resonate with females enough to overcome the bad writing. Just for the record, by 'characters' I mean everyone BUT Bella, who is freakishly two-dimensional for a main character -- I think, so that girls can project themselves onto her.

When all is said and done, I think the movies are going to stand the test of time much better than the books. I just hope the new director does as well as the director for New Moon did!

...also, no matter whether you hate the series or not, Jacob is HOT. Rawr. ^.^

I really liked the books but the Girl that they picked to play Bella looks like shes constantly dumbfounded and her mouth has this drop to it. The girl herself isn't bad looking but why always that dumb look on her face!? Does any body else agree with me here?! I don't remember Bella being described like that and also the movie makes her seem less self aware and more well..dumb. In short I wish they would have picked a better actor or told her to portray Bella differently- Sorry Twilight fans~!

The new vampire thriller came out on Thursday at 12:00. Opinions?

I would have to say the movie was better. I got a little over-excited about Dakota Fanning because she was only in two scenes and her make-up was a little on the dark side. I loved Jacob! I totally melted when he first showed up with a haircut and his shirt off. I must say though, the ending was terrible.
****SPOILER!****
Edward asking Bella to marry him was just not my type of ending.

Ugh, the books were okay, I read them when they WEREN'T a best seller. :/

I watched Twilight and hated it, but I heard NM was way better so...

Maybe I'll watch it. Just to laugh at the druggie-looking Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. :p
