I used to be a huge Wrestling fan until Eddie Guererro died. Then, everything became a huge soap opera. The wrestling is fake, but the injuries can be real sometimes. Sometimes, bones actually are broken, or the bleeding is real. It's fake most of the time though, and it's even more evident when seen live.[Still a great thing to see live though!]

It's fake. The first and only live event I went to, you could tell that it was a swing and a miss. But, if you looked at the screen, the camera's were strategically placed to hide this fact. I will say, you do need to be able to take a hit. Getting thrown down can't feel good...

I really don't like the WWE. I'm sorry. My dad used to wrestle back in high school, and the WWE completely undermines what real wrestling is all about. All it is is a bunch of melodramatics...there's no actual wrestling that goes on. The entire thing is fake. Everything is staged and planned out. And it annoys me that people call this a sport.
The ONLY reason I watch it is for the blatant homo-eroticism in it. That's it...nothing else.

The fake accusation is thrown around too much. It's scripted yes, but the men and women in this industry have to train for years. Hell in Japan its considered a sport because they actually hit each other. But it requires you to know how to use the move with out seriously injuring your opponent or yourself. Moves such as the Neckbreaker or DDT could seriously cripple someone. Some moves such as the Diving Headbutt also have repercussions, Dynamite Kid one half of the British Bulldogs is wheelchair bound because of using this move. So don't be saying its fake. These people seriously put their bodies through hell just to entertain us. I would be amazed if any of the ECW Originals even can function properly into their later years given what they did to themselves just to entertain a bunch of mutants.

Most of the ECW originals weren't functioning properly at the time, let alone later. :)

its kinda sad watching TNA and seeing you heros with the rejects (Jeff Hardy and Hulk Hogan) TNA was really good but then it slowly just died out cause of all the old wrestlers trying to come back. Where are the Raven vs. Zabisko days?

Wow.
How can someone talk about "old wrestlers coming back" as negative, and then in the same breath mark about the Raven/Zbyszco thing?

Jeff is wicked while Hogan should just quit and the Raven Zabysco fude was huge. i have nothing wrong with old wrestlers but with alot of them the word retire means jump company its just blah. wheres a good old fashion brutal fude? all the ones ive seen now arent as put together. i mean nothing will ever compare to the Raven Sandman fude in ECW with the brain washing of Sandman's son and the crusifing of Sandman by Raven that was sweet or Dramer/Raven, Sheik/Slaughter, Axl/Ian, Kane/Taker.

now we have Matt/Edge which was just bunk. I mean really the only thing that fude had was Matt was pissed at Edge and took it everywhere. no story line no purpose no nothing. A good fude and raise the show or company like WCW/WWF when Austin came in and started against Vince. That was good it wanted people to watch next week to see what was going to happen on Raw and took away from Nitro. It was like WCW taking everyone who was with WWF you could still see your favorte wrestlers go against new guys. it was like when TNA came in you had Jerret in the begining then later on you had Raven, Sandman, Shamrock, Sabu now theres Sting, Jeff, Flair, Hogan, Booker T, Kurt, Stiner, Richards. its now looking like what WWE dosent want TNA will take. TNA had so much going for it now its becoming just like WWE.....kinda sad

I haven't watched wrestling in a few years. I used to absolutely love it and the men on screen. I'll randomly tune in if I'm not doing anything and know it's on just to see what's going on at that moment but I do it a lot less now, namely because one of the last times I did it happened to be the night they announced Eddie Guerrero's death. I was a huge fan of his so needless to say, I was quite upset. I started watching it more after that point but eventually I grew tired of it again. I'll watch the odd pay-per-view every once in a while when one of my friends orders it though.
But more importantly, what I wouldn't do to have one of those men in my bed...
