I have seen the original Disney version, some version with (the guy who is the original Willy Wonka), and a version called "Alice" with Caterina Scorsona.
I want to see the newest version.
If anyone wants to be in an Alice in Wonderland RP, check my signature. ^_^

Alright, so I just had the chance to see this the other night.
It follows your typical heroic cycle plot line. I found that only the setting was impressive - The plot was nothing to write home about, the characters were mere reflections of what they should have been, and the videography was a pure recreation of all Tim Burton's other films. All in all, I don't think that it's a great piece of cinema. Only entertaining, that's all.

Alice in Wonderland is full of LOVE <3 Really, I never thought the story would be so deliciously bizarre! the character designs were gorgeous and my mouth was left hanging wide open staring at how they designed the surroundings. It was dark but yet so intriguing. I was confused at first, simply because I'm not the kind of person who would watch trailers. I didn't think that this movie would differ from the cartoon. I thought it was just going to be Tim Burton-ized but I never thought it was a continuation of the first book.
I loved all the characters and the popular stars did excellent obs portraying every single one! Anne Hathaway made me laugh with her weird walking style and the red queen despite being the evil character was freaking adorable! The Mad Hatter! How could you not like him? He was the sentimental weird dude. Even the big white furry animal was huggable :)
I don't think this would be suitable for children though ^^" Well, at least I would not recommend my children to watch it if I had any. It would be a little too morbid, especially with the blood and the heads floating in the lake etc. But it was definitely a movie, I wouldn't mind watching again and again!
To end this post, I can only say one thing: FUTTERWACKEN! (I love how that word rolls of my tongue)

:vicky:I have never read the books but I saw the old disney cartoon of it and I was a fan for that movie. I was interested in seeing the new Alice in Wonderland but I tried not to be opinionated before I saw it, now I eventually went and saw it and yeah it really is nothing like the cartoon verizon of it but to be truthful I don't think it ever was gonna be just from the trailers alone it defintly didn't seem like the same to me.
Now the movie, yea there were good parts and bad parts. But overall for me I thought it was great and I would defintly watch it again. At first I didn't like two characters in the newest verison which where the chersire cat and mad hatter but by the end of the movie I really thought they did excellent in there verison of their characters.:vicky:

I love the Jan Svankmejer movie Alice. pure art. It's exactly the type of world I envisioned from reading the original book.

I always loved the original Alice In Wonderland, but once I found out three of my favorite people were going to be involved in the new Alice just made me like the movie/books even more. (: I saw the new movie and thought it was fantastic. Very creative and gothic-ee looking. Just my style (:

Wasn't too fond of the new movie version. I've read the books a long time ago and questioned as to why they left out the sequel(s).
Here we have a nineteen year old girl with no memory of her first visit, though that's probably normal anyway. I guess. But they don't even include her other earlier visits from the sequel(s) of the book series in the movie... Including the second one...
I'm not sure exactly, but when Alice returns to Wonderland in the first sequel from the book series, I don't think she's nineteen. She's probably around or just reaching her pre-teens or something... Not sure...

I was a big fan of the new movie, and the old movie as well. The new one had enchanting visuals, reminded me a lot of Coraline, actually, another good movie. I loved the plotline, though I did feel it was a little too much like the typical 'female adventurer discovers her independance' storyline. But it is Disney, and they like to use older plots. If you suspend your jaded mind and look at it with fresh eyes, it's a great story. A highlight for me was the Jabberwocky-I've always loved the poem and just this year we had to do a Jabberwocky interpretation in art class, so it was great to see such a fresh and stunning recreation of an old beast.
