Shrek - The final chapter
 

O.k... So everyone has seen the commercials for the new Shrek movie that is coming out I'm sure. The basic story line: Shrek told Rumplestiltskin he just wanted to be a regular ogre, and Rumplestiltskin puts a curse on him so that everything was different . And Donkey didn't know who he was, Fiona was a viking ogre, and puss 'n Boots.... was fat and retired. Honestly, I can stand what they did to Donkey and Fiona, but Puss 'n Boots ?I did not like that AT ALL. That just ruins things! Of course, when it comes out I will watch the movie.. But who else besides me agrees they went to far with Puss 'n Boots?

I will only say that they went too far if they make him stay that way, which is highly doubtful. So long as they change him back to his sexy cat self in time for a few good punch lines, I will be happy. Otherwise, I'm prepared to laugh my ass off at the fat Puss. I think it'll be great comedic relief.

Honestly, I saw a preview for it last night, and his "...if you dare!" line only changed from whatever it was, to "Feed me...if you dare!". Which, given his stature, makes it funny. Though, I wont say the other scence that it showed in the previews...my friend and I were killing ourselves laughing because it reminded us of my cat.

@Draciolus- Hehehe. O.k. Well, atleast now I am expecting that the movie will be better than I am expecting. :) And @ ElysiumFate- I guess it would be comedic relief. From the commercials I've seen, the movie definitely seems pretty funny anyways. @ Yutora - Yeah, the 3rd one wasn't that great.

It was kind of funny with certain parts, but honestly, it just wasn't that amusing to me. It just didn't have the good old kick like the first 2 did. Those people who thought is was hilarious obviously don't know fair humour. lol

I love all the shrek movies.... Although the 3rd one could have been better. I wan't aware that there was going to be a fourth.. Mind Blown :)

@Usuke: Eh, sometimes the previews show the only funny things in the movie, so we'll see.

I think, personally, that they should've left "Shrek" alone. However, the commercials are really funny. I laughed really hard seeing a fat Puss. Antonio Banderas continues to be an epic actor. Lol. That being said, I'm sure they made all these changes to all the characters to pretty much do the "This is what would happen if you didn't change/enter their lives" effect. I think it'll be interesting, if not cliche. But I think with the cast and characters they have, this movie won't really be that bad or cliche. I love all the references they slide into the series. It just makes me giggle.

I want to see the movie before I make my opinion, but the first thing I thought when I saw that they came out with another Shrek, all I could ask was 'why'? I thought it all ended with Shrek the Third. Personally, I think that they are extending the movie a bit to far. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Shrek. All of them. I just think that when you make new movie after new movie of the same movie that was already a hit 3 times, it gets kind of boring because you already know the characters and have a pretty good idea what they will do in the situation. I will still see the movie, ofcourse and I will forever be a Shrek fan (:

I really want to see this Shrek movie big time. I loved how they made Puss fat lols to cute in a way he reminds me of Garfield now. but yeah everyone is right about the 3rd Shrek movie it was not all that funny. but at times it was just got a copy of it we need to get a new copy of Shrek 2 and a copy of Shrek 1 still sighs.
