If u have a legit reason for disliking a band u may also discuss that but don't say "i hate such and such cuz its them" thats dumb and i will give u 5 new reasons why u shouldnt hate them if u do that no matter who it is

NOW GO GO GO!

Bands: Ouu, gosh. I could write a book, here. Perhaps I'll just impart the select few I've been listening to, recently, and link a video for each. For starters, The Correspondents are delicious if you like a 20's jazz and modern hip-hop hybrid. The Real Tuesday Weld makes for some awesome lounge/ragtime/R&B/hip-hop stuff. Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson are my chick picks, and I love how indie-ish their stuff is.

Movies: Millennium Actress never fails to make me cry. Every time. But I love it soooo so so much. It's so incredibly moving, and it has a brilliant story and breathtaking animation. A more recent film that I absolutely adored was How to Train Your Dragon. Probably the first 3D movie that I've wanted to see over and over in a long time.

Writers: Neil Gaiman is probably my favorite writer, hands-down. The imagery he paints with his words is so vivid, and his imagination for fictional stories goes unsurpassed in my book (HAHA BOOK I MADE A PUN AAaaah I'll go cry in a corner now.)

Moviemakers: Ah...this one I'm not really sure on. I do like M. Night Shyamalan's stuff. Particularly the Village.

Hmm.

Favorite band: Green Day.
TV show: The Big Bang Theory is the only one that's still on. I really miss FarScape, the Tudors, Rome, & Kings.
Anime (just because): Cowboy Bebop, Tenchi Muyo/Universe/In Tokyo, Trigun
Movies: Tropic Thunder, The Matrix (The original and Reloaded), A Knight's Tale, Tropic Thunder, Yes Man
Actors: Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr., Angelina Jolie, Jim Carrey, Hugh Jackman, James Marsters & Samuel L. Jackson, Steve Blum
Writers: Anne Rice (pre Jesus-trip), Piers Anthony, Katherine Applegate

I sort of subliminally posted Tropic Thunder twice, I suppose. It's one of my all-time favorite movies.

mysticrob 06-28-2010 12:09 AM

Kifflemonster 06-28-2010 03:49 AM

@mysticrob - Yeah, I thought it was interesting that Shyamalan is doing Avatar as well. He's made awesome happen in the past, and this movie definitely looks epic, so I can't wait to see it. x)
