Any Buffy/Angel Fans Out There?
 

I couldn't see a thread for this so -

Who here absolutely loved the vampire series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

I own the whole series of both. I loved how they both ended but it was sad, nonetheless. Who was your favourite character?

I think mine was Willow (Alyson Hannigan.) Awesomest nerdy witch ever!

Well I watch Angel reruns on TNT and it looks pretty freakin' awesome. I don't know where they air Buffy or if they do anymore, but I would have loved to have seen it as a kid. It was something I just bypassed and didn't pay attention to and now I'm totally regretting it.

I was a teenager when Buffy was a series. LoL.

It was awesome. The first few years were a little lame and SOOOO 90's looking back but they were still hella funny. In the current vampire shows/movies everyone is always running for their lives and being dark.

Buffy could kick vampire ass then always come up with something funny to say.

I'd definitely recommend you check it out when you get a chance. Angel was a good spinoff but wasn't actually as easy to get involved with the characters and was a lot darker in my opinion.

You're not that much older than me XD I just didn't prefer watching sitcoms that weren't I Love Lucy and The Brady Bunch. But that's for another topic, haha.

Looking back on the stuff they have on Buffyverse/Wikia, it DID look so 90s. But I would have loved it anyway! Any mid-2000 series and higher just doesn't appeal to me. I wanted to see the Buffy Musical at Comic Con (their unofficial closing ceremony as of 2006 I heard) but left early so I didn't get to see it yet. What I have researched about the series though, I like!

I remembered watching buffy as a kid, with my sister. She was a teenager when it came out. :lol: I recently just saw all 7 seasons on Netflix, Marguerite. If you're looking for it and have netflix. 8D
My favorite characters would have to be Spike & Anya. I love their background and how they were developed. hehe.
But personally, I just think Giles is extremely hot. :drool:

Merlin? I've never heard of that.

It's basically a TV show about King Arthur (historical famous King in England.) and the Wizard Merlin.

Yeah I totally watch Angel on Netflix. Haven't seen Buffy available on it yet, but when I'm babysitting my cousin and he's still asleep, I sneak a few episodes. (We use the Netflix for Wii, any idea what section I can look for Buffy in?)

I own it all on DVD =D It's only like $90 for the whole series nowdays though.

Is the angel series any good? I finished Buffy and I'm not sure if I wanna watch Angel yet. xD

Angel is... darker I think. More people die and when something gets messed up - it gets majorly messed up!

Ah I remember I would stay up late to watch it on a school night.
A few months ago I watched the entire series all over again on Foxtel.
I think my boyfriend even starting to get into it... a bit. Though he wouldn't sit through it again even when I wanted to. Hehe. :oops:

I was happy with the final episode of Buffy but from what I remember the final of Angel was dissapointing. I haven't seen the Angel series since high school though.

My favourite episode of Angel was when he was turned into a Muppet.
Just because I loved the Muppets as a kid... and he looked so cute as one.

Holy crap Wrylit! I watched the entire first series of Merlin in one day! It's awesome. Just started the 2nd series online. Thanks for the recommendation. Hehe

Magentarose I liked the Angel ending.

"You take the 30,000 on the left, I'll take the 30,000 on the right."

and then Angel's comments that he wants to take on the dragon, which is fitting. :)

Umbrella, I only watch it for Giles, coz he is well.... hawt. He's no Pierce Brosnan though!

I used to watch Buffy every morning before school when I was younger, now I can't because I don't have the channel in my room and I wake up too early for it anyways.

Yeah... I thought it just seemed too open ended. That is just my opinion though. I like happy endings. I like how Buffy was pretty well wrapped up. The series went on for so long it was like they deserved a happy ending.

I was hoping there was a Buffy thread (hope I don't get in trouble for bumping it...it was pretty buried!) I don't watch it anymore- I've seen all the eps at least 5x by now, so no need- but it was still one of my favorite series.

Nah, it's chill if you revive this one...it was made in the last year anyway. I have DVR now so I can pretty much catch up on Angel when I'm able to. The problem is I only get 5 episodes at a time, so the ones I don't get to see get deleted anyway to make room for new ones. Boo. :P
