The Lost Boys

This is an old school movie that was made back in the late eighties, does anyone remember it or has anyone seen it? The movie is about a boy who moves to Santa Carla or Montecarlo (I think...) Callifornia to live with his grandfather and meets a couple of strange boys who run a comic book shop who believe in all kinds of strange things like vampires --- but little does the boy know that vampires do exist as a string of murders are committed by a group of vindictive gangs of boys who just so happen to be vampires and the boy's older brother falls in love with a girl who is a vampire but she cannot bring herself to kill him so he is embraced into this gang of vampires so what happens.... I will not spoil for you as it is a very fun and interesting movie and I suggest if you are an eighties fan you should watch it and give it a chance. I think it is a great movie.

Love the song in the movie titled "People are Strange" LOL!

I have the soundtrack for the film, still sounds great. Had it on VHS but recently chucked it out actually as I never ever use my video, I'd get hold of it on DVD instead. I bridle a little at you classing it as "old school" though! Jeez xD It's not black and white or anything xD I suppose that's just how people below a certain age judge films that were out when they were still kids?

I still love this film though, it's still "cool", unlike a lot of films that you think are cool when you're younger, but are embarrassed to admit to watching once you're older, or you jusy think they're awful after a while. Lost Boys has stood up to the test of time well

Hello Jelly, thanks for visiting my thread. I had the VHS video too, but now have it on DVD, I think Kiefer Sutherland is a great actor although he has had several issues with some things going on in his life. Well, to me it's what I grew up on and yes it has stood the test of time and I really love this movie, since I just bought it again a few weeks ago I have watched it three times. I love the ending it's just so freaking awesome how he knew along when you thought he was totally oblivious as to what was happening from the get go ( not using any names or any hints as to not spoil the movie for those who still have not seen this wonderful film)

I thought the Lost Boys was a pretty interesting and funny movie. I really think it is a classic too, I saw it back in the day, I think it was the early nineties for me though.

Wow it's been like years since i watched this movie. This movie is what got me started on my vampire obsession, after seeing the movie i kept insisting to my family & myself that i must have been bitten by a vampire (crazy little kid mind at work) it also didn't help that i happen to have 2 moles on my neck that could pass for a vamp bite.

That's funny lol, yea, I just bought a copy of this movie recently myself. This was definitely a movie that really was interesting back in the day. Monster squad was a nother good movie Corey Feldman played in other than this one that was a classic hit in my humble opinion. Well maybe you were bitten hehehhehehhe ;)

@Kole_Locke: LOL i very well could have been bitten. Never heard of Monster squad, i'll have to go look it up.

Yea, you should look it up. It's another really good movie, it's a bit cheesy because it was made in the eighties but overall a really good movie.

I love this movie! I first saw it in like '94 (I was only 5 heh). Such a classic movie, filled with laughs and some jumpy moments. Best line "First come First staked" LOL. This was my introduction to anything vampire, and after that man I get my hands on anything vampire!

I thought it was cool especially since it has the classic song, People are Strange. The movie is definitely a must see in the vampire genre. I really enjoyed it too and think Keifer Sutherland played a great role, but he still is not as good an actor as his father in my opinioni.

*laughing* Ah, I remember The Lost Boys well. My sister and I used to watch it when I was younger. I always loved the main character because he was so cute. Even when I was a kid I was attracted to dark haired guys. XD But I loved all the vampires sequences like when they jumped off the cliff.

Yea I thought the Corey Feldman and the other kid were really hillarious, they were the comic relief in the movie obviously. I liked it when one of them said death by stereo. People are strange.... lol. The movie was pretty cool and a bit scary by the eighties standards, but then again I was just a kid myself.
