This series of Law and Order is without a doubt my favourite of all time! I love the way that it's done and I love the characdters!
My favourite detectives are Olivia Benson and John Munch although Eliot and Fin are cool too Munch and Olivia are still my all time favourites (With Olivia being slightly ahead of Munch)
My favourite ADA however is definitely Casey Novak. Alex Cabot was okay but I preferred Casey and as for the other ADAs...they can't hold a candle to Casey Novak! She is brilliant! Although the new one might be alright, I'll wait and see before making any decisions about her but so far she doesn't seem too bad.

So I'm curious, who is your favourite detective and ADA and why?

Also what's your favourite SVU case?

Is SVU your favourite season of Law and Order or do you prefer one of the ohters (the original, Criminal Intent or the UK version (which in my opinion is terrible!!!)

I love SVU!

My favorite used to be Criminal Intent until they basically got rid of all the main characters......and started fiddling with the music.....totally ruined Criminal Intent within......2 episodes. Now my favorite is SVU.....and Benson is also my favorite!

Wow, I couldn't disagree more about Novak.

Cabot is just jagged, hostile and pretty much bad ass. She's basically is a pale Angie Harmon (Abbie Carmicheal on the original). Plus, she was killed once. :)

I agree that Alex Cabot is badass (not saying that she isn't) but I just prefer Casey Novak although I'm not completely sure why. Maybe it's because the first episode I ever saw of SVU was when Casey was the ADA and since I saw her first I liked her more or something...I dunno.

Olivia Benson is just plain awesome! She's a brilliant detective but she's also not completely closed off from the cases and she can relate to the victims and help them which I think is good.

I pretty much like Munch and Finn over the rest of the detectives. I've had a soft spot for Cragen, ever since he was captain on the original.

Munch is awesome! I love his sense of humour and his character in general, always suspecious and a conspiracy nut! I have a soft spot for characters like that (for example Jack Hodgins from Bones!)
