Anybody else excited to see Tron? I'm ridiculously excited. The art design looks amazing and they have chosen some really good actors to be in it also. I haven't been this psyched to see a movie in a while.

I still haven't seen the original movie though. I'm going to have to find it somewhere. I'd hate to go into the movie only knowing what bits and pieces I can put together from playing Kingdom Hearts II. xD

I'm really excited.... You should watch the first movie. It's pretty good... one of those cult kinds of things. :D

Yeah, I've heard good things about the original. I'm kind of sad that they haven't shown it on TV that I've seen. It would have made sense for them to do that to up the Tron hype so to speak but I guess they didn't pick up on that. Or maybe they just don't need to. I mean, I already want to trade my car in for a light cycle. xD

Don't worry, you aren't the only one going in with only knowledge from Kingdom Hearts II. In fact, I only played that part last night... and now I want to see the movie!

HO yes I am, I was excited when I first heard that they were doing a remake. I really love that movie and I'm SO excited to see the new one, and on top of that the music is being done by Daft Punk, how cool is that! XD

I actually learned about Tron from my dad since he was telling me about a couple of life-action Disney films one day. XD But I do also love that level in KH. :D

I love the soundtrack. I've been downloading it little by little on iTunes. And the track that plays during the trailers is free on iTunes right now! I was really happy to see that. Both my brother and I downloaded it and have been listening to it nonstop. :)

So is it a remake or a sequel of some kind, I saw the original and loved it back in the day, a true classic indeed.

I'm pretty sure it won't matter. I would assume that they will explain everything since it's been a while since the original came out.


I was going to see it this past Saturday but I've was sick all weekend. I was so bummed. I'll probably not be able to see it until at least Friday. :/

I won't be able to see it till after Christmas, which sucks.

I saw it during the midnight premiere with some friends. It could've been better, but then again, the rest of the audience and myself had been waiting for so long that we were just too damn tired to see the movie.

It's pretty good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't exactly my cup of tea.

They didn't advertise that movie enough, which made me sad. I didn't know they had set a date for it until it was already out so I didn't have time to be properly excited. I really liked the movie though. The ending especially. :) I think I still like Prince Caspian better though.


@Marguerite Blakeney: I have a feeling that it is going to be one of those movies you either like or you don't. Kind of like the movie of Speed Racer. They are both stylized for lack of a better word.

I agree, there needs to be more advertising for these movies.

Saw Tron on Sunday it was really good, I really loved it. I wished it could have been a bit longer though. :(

Twethereal: I guess you're right, but I haven't seen the original movie. Someone brought a Wii and a projector and I have no idea where the heck they plugged it in but they were playing the original Tron on the side of the movie theater. Some of the imagery was Star Wars-esque, that was probably the only thing I understood about it. But I guess it was pretty good eye candy for the most part. Just not something I'd want to own in my movie collection.

With the fact that they had to de-age the lead actor, he ended up looking really CGed/robotic.

They brought a Wii to a movie theater? I'm surprised they didn't get kicked out!

I will have to watch the original again before watching the new one then. It looks interesting, a friend of a friend saw it and absolutely loved it. So yea, I will defintiely be going to see it soon.

That. Was. Awesome! I just watched Tron... and, naturally, loved it!

I saw it last Monday and I agree, it was awesome! The visuals in it were stunning. It's definitely got a unique style. I've got to see the original now. As soon as I can find it.

It was more the sound that I loved, the soundtrack was amazing.

Agreed. The music was awesome! As soon as I can figure out how to move my whole iTunes library to my new computer, I'm going to download the rest of the soundtrack. But for now I'll just play the three tracks that I do have on repeat. :)

I don't have any of it, sadly, but I wish I did.
