I didn't watch the first series till i'd read the first book, and was really quite pleased by how close they followed the original plot. The only thing that bothers me really is the size of the direwolves. They should be CGI'ed to look like something other than your average Siberian husky.
I'm halfway through A Storm of Swords 2, and i'm not sure when the second series stops plot wise, so i'm going to wait till i'm done with this one before i watch it. I've heard pretty much only good things about it though!

Well they definitely did that in the second season!

I just started watching Game of Thrones not to long ago. My friends kept telling me to do it, but I kept putting it off for one reason or another. I got interested after I played the board game with some friends. I'm caught up to the end of season two, but I'd really like to read the books if I can find them where I live.
