has anybody else watched this series. Its the current Super Sentai season being shown right now in japan. Being the 35th super sentai its theme is pirates and basically all the super sentai since they are able to transform into any other sentai team.
If you dont know what super sentai is its the Original version of the american Power Rangers. and if you dont know what that means then... well i dont know what to say....

Hells yeah, I watch it. Besides Gokiager, I'm watching an older sentai show from 2005 called Mahou Sentai Magiranger. I have finnished watching the 2004 season, Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger (a personal favorite of mine). I'm thinking of starting Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, from 2009 next. I'm also a fan of the Kamen Rider Series, and I have also finished the live action Sailormoon series.

These perticular types of shows are called "Tokusatsu". Tokusatsu is a term used to describe television shows in Japan that utilize specail effects. Belive it or not, the Godzilla (or Gojira, if you perfer) would fall under the Toku genre.

If you want any series recomended to you, I'd be happy to help.

Shinkenger being my absolute favorite so far....

I was majorly confused when Shinkenger did the cross over with one of the Kamen Rider series and was going to watch it just to know what the hell happened but alas i didn't

I've also watched the Salior moon one. I also watched half of the Cutie Honey one but havent finished it off.... which i should....

The Shinkenger crossover was with Kamen Rider Decade, I myself haven't watched it. I've read mixed opinions about it. Possibly because of how the series ended, which was on a cliffhanger that was resolved in theatrical movie that crossed over with the preceding series, Kamen Rider W. Decade had already been over for a few months when the movie came out.

I have watched Kamen Rider W. It is deffenatly one of the best toku shows from the past five years. I highly recomend it. So, watch a few episodes and tell me what you think.

Technically, the main rider would be called Kamen Rider Double (in Japanese the english letter "W" and the english word "double" are pronounced the same way). Why is Double called "Double"? Because normaly he is two diffrent people who transform into one person when he/they transform. Confused? It makes more sense if you watch it.

I'm currently searching for any fansubs for some of the older Sentai and Rider shows, which a little hard to come by as sub groups can only get them via DVD, unlike more recent series.

You probably know The Super Sentai Series started back in 1975. The Kamen Rider started in 1971. The Ultraman Series goes back even further, to 1966! The first ever Tokusatsu TV series was called Moonlight Mask from 1958. I don't belive there are any subs of it avalble, but I would love to see it.

I'm thinking the only way to see all of these old series is to learn Japanese and then buy the DVDs online. Although, Ultraman was dubbed into english back in the 1970s (my mom recalls watching it as a kid) and it has been reliesed on DVD a few times with subs, but it doesn't go past the orginal series.

After that little ramble, I truly am a toku additct...
