People told me it was scary? What utter crap, it was an emotional, deep film. Like, when he talks to the mannequins, how do you know if he's insane from no human contact or that he's just being sarcastic? And yes, I cried when Sam died. Yes, granted the infected are a little scary, But it's also about their evolution, are they still human?

Ahh such a good movie! I remember watching it for the first time at a party. The host was telling us how some part would make us jump [when he cautiously walks into the pitch-black building filled with the infected, in search of his dog] so two of us held pillows to our faces just to be safe. Turned out not being scary.. just a bit unexpected.
All in all, amazing. I've even bought the DVD since then.
Apparently in the book Will Smith's character is white and proud.. if you get what I'm saying. Also he curses a lot? Just something I've heard~

Agreed. I don't like dogs at all, but that was just depressing.

It was pretty good, I thought. I was expecting a more zombie experience, but all in all, it was okay.

It definitely wasn't as good as I thought it would be but it was a pretty good film. I'll admit being a bit scared but I don't usually watch scary films so I find a lot of stuff scarier than most people would. >.< I think the part about the mannequins was my favorite as well, it really showed how human he was. I think he was really going insane but because the character is played by Will Smith who has a history of being a bit of a comedian, I think it can come off as a little sarcastic.

Lol. It wasn't a Zombie movie, they were mutants. > >
There's a difference.
Its been a while since I've seen that movie though
if I recall the mutants only came out during the night
because the sunlight burned the skin. Zombies really
don't give a crap whether its night or day. Unless it's
something around the lines of 28 days later..but yeah there's
other forms to differentiate them I just can't think of any at the moment.
o A o;
I liked Will's character, it's nice seeing actors pulling away
from their normal rolls in movies.
All in all it was a decent film.

I kept changing the channel whenever they showed the creepy parts. I know, I'm a chicken but the mutants literally scared me the fuck out. D: But it was sad when he sacrifice himself, that was sad. The whole story was okay, I missed the first part but it's alright. ^^;
