Old movies

I'm watching an old movie called "Three Bad Sisters" It's pretty sweet. These three beautiful women have just become heiresses of a huge fortune... They go around and speak in sweet soft voices and say poisonous things to each other and try to kill each other, haha.

One of them looks like Marilyn Monroe but it's not her. I felt cheated, haha.

What older movies have you seen that you could recommend? Any I can find on netflix?

Oh yeah, and they're all trying to date the same guy... the one that offed their old man!

Not really that old but a great movie is The Shawshank Redemption

Chinatown and I do believe that's been added to Netflix. (My uncle canceled Netflix when they rose the price so I have no idea what's new anymore.) Also you can try looking for On The Waterfront. My favorite old movie is Marty. It's about an "ugly" guy falling in love with an equally "ugly" girl. It's like some of our quirky romcoms only this one works.

If you like ghosts, the Topper movie series (1940s) might be good for you.
I also saw this movie recently called Jane Eyre (1943) about a girl who has a horrible childhood only to grow up beautifully and be hired by a wealthy man to care for his daughter. That one brought on a few tears in some parts. There's also Little Women (1949) if you like post American Civil War times.
National Velvet is also a good one if you like race horses. Or horses in general.
Maybe even something with Shirley Temple in it.

Hairspray from the 80's?
It's not THAT old but it was made a while before I was born, so . . . =o
but maybe you've already seen it
It's way better than the remake.

I like those corny 20's/30's horror films. ^^; It's kind of a guilty pleasure of mine.

I recently saw the original version of Miracle on 34th Street. I thought it was a pretty good movie. Despite Christmas being over...
