The Avengers
 

So, in South Korea the movie The Avengers is out. I am pretty happy to beat my American friends and family for once on the movie end.

Super good movie. Highly recommend it. Feel free to share your thoughts and maybe a favorite scene or quote or two.

For me I really liked how Thor treated those around him. Also, I loved the quote from the following scene...

Stark looks up at stares at the portal. "Army...right..." He switches gears to fight the new and more urgent threat.

By the way, I totally called Stark Tower a LOT earlier than the other characters in the movie itself did. The need for Loki to use an energy source and then the reference to being a personal message to Stark is totally what gave it away.

I called the stark tower thing at the same time as, well, Stark. I was too focused on staring at the screen and going "this is so awesome" to actually think about what was happening. :lol:

Freaking loved the movie, and also recommend that you all watch it.

It was freaking cool wasn't it ^_^ I wish I had been able to write down all the cool phrases throughout the movie ^_^

You guys make me jealous. A group of me and my geeky friends are going to go see it on the fourth when it comes out over here.

And I love Thor. I went to see it twice in theaters mostly because I loved the character so much. Though, it does help that Mr. Hemsworth is quite nice looking. >.> But Tony Stark has to be my favorite character so far. He's such a smartass, and I love it.

Your going to go crazy trying to pick a favorite then. Be prepared to accept them all and pick out their best qualities. I love Stark's sense of humor, Thor's mannerisms, Black Widow's skill, Hulk's ability, and Hawk dudes' looks. Darn... I wouldn't mind dating Thor though ^_^

I'll take that to heart. I can't wait now. ^^

ANYWAY. The film was actually really good, I have no real interest in anything Marvel (or didn't anyway) and got dragged to see it. . . Glad I did. Want the DVD now. Hurry up. ):

Now that you have scene it... I suggest you watch Iron Man I and II. Also, there is Captain America and Thor. They are good movies but you might like Iron Man more for the sense of humor that exists there.

I do want to watch Thor, for Loki, of course.

I also liked Stark, so I might watch the Iron Man films.

I've heard Captain America isn't very good. I dunno, it's a maybe.

It is good for an introduction movie. Just like Thor was. Avengers is the true genius.

Saw it last night and LOVED it. Especially the stinger! XD You were right about not having a favorite anymore. As a team they work in such an awesomely dysfunctional way. We tried to pick favorite parts of the movie too, but I couldn't! I loved how quirky it was, and I hope Joss Whedon directs more movies.

I hope he does too. His movies are always such a blast. I'm surprised there were other threads on here. I purposefully looked for one because I wanted to talk about the movie... that they can be merged is just plain awesome ^_^

I'm going back to see it again. This time with paper and a pencil to write down the neat phrases.

I suspect you'll have to write down at least half of the movie. Somehow they managed to make sure that each Avenger had at least one moment of deadpan snarkiness.

I had 8 pages of notes... and still missed some really good lines, particularly the ones where Stark or Thor was involved.

*laughing* Really? Eight pages? That's pretty epic.

I think they're going to do a Thor 2 of some sort. That would be great because I'm with you; I wanna see more of the big lug. :)

I think I just need to see that Hulk movie. I didn't watch it when it came out.

The hulk movie would help clear some stuff up. But totally want to see more of the guy who plays Thor. I like his voice, his looks, and knowing that a part of you (even if your acting) displays itself in the character then I wouldn't mind getting to know him a little better. Even if it is only through movies.

Chris Hemsworth is going to be in another movie this summer. He's in Snow White and the Huntsman as the eponymous Huntsman. I will not lie, part of the reason I want to see the movie is because he's in it.
