Tokusatsu fans?

Because I can't be the ONLY toku fan on here! [gonk]

If you're a toku fan, what are you watching? Right now I LOVE the new season of Akibaranger(because hey, Malshina -- meeeeeeeow), and I'm also liking the new season of Garo. I also need to get caught up on Kamen Rider Wizard, since I'm something like 20 episodes behind. [gonk]

Quick google search is gave me a picture of the oldschool godzilla... XD
That and something that mildly resembles a power ranger but isn't...?

Definitely interested though [lol]

Maybe it's Ultraman?

But as far as toku goes -- there is SO MUCH of it out there! From mainstream stuff like Ultraman, Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider, to lesser-known stuff like Garo, the Chouseishin series, Zubat... and even indie toku, like Phoenix Yatsuragi andGun Caliber(which, while not done yet, looks to be pretty awesome... and utterly NSFW).

Even anime series like Cutey Honey and Sailor Moon have had toku shows based on them(Cutey Honey the Live and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, respectively.

And of course... Godzilla is toku.

So, there's a LOT of toku out there; you just have to find something that interests you.

Well if those old black/white Godzilla count then I'm definitely a fan. I watched those as a kid every morning I could.

I remember watching the parody dub of Dynaman on USA's old Night Flight show back in the early 80's. Ah, good times...

Interesting... my brother has shown me a parady dub of DBZ... but I've not seen anything else. What kind of parody was it?

Each episode was full-length, but if I remember right, the scripts were more or less original(but sort of based on the original episode), and all the voices were humorous, with over-the-top bad accents(and this is the time before political correctness, so...). So basically, each episode was done for laughs.

And there are videos on Youtube!

Dynaman English Dub Parody Ep. 1 Part 1 - YouTube (actual link because I can't get the bbcode tag to work)

Part of the first episode of Dynaman. It's... well, it's hard to explain. Skip to about 3:20, that's when the actual footage begins.

That was very.... interesting [lol]
