Mortal Instruments Movie!
 

I've been waiting for forever for them to make that movie! The books just keep blowing my mind away, ClaryxJace <3. And they have the song "All About Us" by he is We ft. Owl City in the soundtrack and I just know that that's going to be played during a ClaryxJace moment, and I know that I'm just going to be fangirling in the movie theater.
Well who else cannot wait for this movie!

I'll be interested to see what they do with it, but I'm not overly excited. I always go into movie adaptations of books with quite low expectations, and I'm a fan of the Mortal Instruments, so I don't want it to be ruined.

Well, I've never read the book and I don't know if I'm going to force myself into watching it only because Jamie Campbell-Bower is in it, hehehe.

Saw the movie. Now reading the books. So excited to find out out whether Clary and Jace are actually related. I was pretty freaked out when I watched the movie.

[rofl] I told my friend not to go watch it for that exact reason. I've been reading the books since City of Glass came out. The movie was better than I expected but I don't think that they did Alec justice...

I like the movie, but it isn't that good of a book-to-movie adaptation. The actors are all great and I don't mind a lot of the minor changes they made to the plot, but the entire ending is vastly different and overtly complicated. Also, they put so many spoilers for the books into the movie. When I watched it, I only read the first book, so I didn't know a lot of the things that were said outright in the movie, while in the books they're said in the third book.

That being said, I actually loved the movie. Sure, it had it's faults, but it was really enjoyable. I actually belong to this group of friends which are very obsessed with The Mortal Instruments and we actually went to see the movie the opening weekend dressed up as Shadowhunters. It was pretty awesome.

Oh geesh. This is going to be fun-- waiting to get to the third book for some things to make sense...
