The Lion King 1/2 is The Lion King from Timon and Pumba's point of view.

Symphony of the Night 08-05-2016 12:37 AM

Oohhh very cool, Kirin Rosenbaum! I will definitely try to watch those! Thank you again for the recommendations :D <3

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-05-2016 12:55 AM

No problem.

Symphony of the Night 08-05-2016 03:23 PM

What other movies do you like to watch, Kirin Rosenbaum

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-06-2016 12:21 AM

Turquoise Heart 08-13-2016 03:12 PM

ive seen them all collected the tapes/dvds when they came out think my favs would be anything princess lol

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-13-2016 03:24 PM

The one movie I hated with a passion was Hercules. Also Hunchback. I liked Hunchback until they introduced those stupid gargoyles.

MercyGrim96 08-13-2016 11:39 PM

Hunchback is actually a pretty messed up movie when you think about the characters. Like really messed up. I have a friend who loves that movie to pieces (he's a weird guy), and he told me all about the weird characters and their backgrounds and how Disney made a really f'ed up movie.

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-14-2016 07:48 PM

Well from the original novel yes. But it still had the potential to be awesome.

MercyGrim96 08-17-2016 02:44 AM

Well disney fails at their animated movies half the time anyways. I greatly dislike most Disney princess movies because they teach children absolutely nothing. Like sure their are small hits at the value of friendship and don't be mean to others, but they also try to make it seem like a girl NEEDS to be saved by a prince. The only good movies that actually showed a strong and independent female lead were Brave and Tangled (out of the movies that I've seen, there are a few that I haven't, but that number is very small). But these are only in the terms of animated movies, they do a decent job with their other movies and trying to enforce gender equality. I mean look at what they are doing with Star Wars and making a female lead in Rouge, I'm excited to see where that goes.

There is of course only one disney movie that I will ever love completely and that is any Alice in Wonderland movie, especially the newer ones. But either animation or real people, they do a great job with showing Alice being a strong and independent person.

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-17-2016 03:04 AM

That's one of the main reasons I adored movies like Mulan, Brave, and Frozen. I am so excited to see Moana. No love interest at all in it.

MercyGrim96 08-17-2016 08:08 PM

Oh I forgot about Mulan! I alos enjoy that movie.

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-18-2016 03:12 AM

I hate Hercules with a burning passion.

Symphony of the Night 08-19-2016 12:14 AM

How come you hate Hercules, Kirin Rosenbaum? D:

---------- Post added 08-19-2016 at 12:14 AM ----------

I have not seen that movie since I was a little kid so I do not remember it very well

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-19-2016 01:04 AM

I am a mythology geek and they fucked it up so bad. The least annoying fuck up is the name. That's his Roman name.

MercyGrim96 08-20-2016 12:58 AM

Yeah I wasn't that big of a fan of the movie either, but the music was decent at least.

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-20-2016 01:30 PM

I do enjoy the music.

MercyGrim96 08-28-2016 05:55 PM

Yeah, they were very catchy songs, and the animations were nice too.

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-28-2016 06:34 PM

Just didn't like the movie.

MercyGrim96 08-29-2016 10:08 PM

Exactly, it was quite inaccurate. But I kind of understand at the same time because they probably had to dumb it down for kids and take away the violence? I mean that's the only excuse that I can think of.

Kirin Rosenbaum 08-30-2016 12:04 PM

It wasn't the lack of violence it was that they changed his origin.

HarleyQuinn2016 11-04-2016 09:21 PM

There are lots of disney movies that are really well written. Take Lion King and Finding Nemo for instance they are really great movies with lots great scenes.

Kirin Rosenbaum 11-05-2016 02:39 AM

I am partial to Robin Hood and The Great Mouse Detective.

Symphony of the Night 11-14-2016 04:22 AM

Which of the more recent Disney movies do you like <3

Kirin Rosenbaum 11-14-2016 01:37 PM

Zootopia is amazing.
