Death of a Ghost Hunter. 3/10

Netflix lied to me. I wanted to watch the top-rated horror movies, and this one was in the top ten. It's grainy, low budget and quality. The actors aren't too bad, but play on stereotypes a little bit. I like the ending, because it wasn't something I expected. But it wasn't really scary. The jumpscares didn't even make me flinch. And it's shot through the 'documentary' style in pieces - not always, but sometimes. Instead of slowly revealing the story, and the main family's history, it's shoved at you all at once toward the end.

It's not something I'll watch again, or suggest to someone else. If there's nothing else, give it a shot. But it's definitely not top-ten scary movie on Netflix worthy.

40 Year Old Virgin

I've seen it before, so this is a re-watch and it's still just as funny as the first time I saw it. Utterly fantastic film with a cracking cast! Definitely a must-see film if you're a comedy fan

Last movie I saw was the sci fi original movie, Rise of the Zombies. I was really excited when I saw the commercial for this movie cause it had Machete! But no, it was interesting at first, yes, pregnant lady killing some zombies? Count me in.
It was a disappointment, probably the worst zombie movie I've ever seen. It was predictable, boring, and led on for far too long without actually making a point. 1 out of 5.

i just watched paul i would give it a 8.7 out of 10 because it was good, kinda funny, but a little slow.

Draciolus 11-04-2012 04:13 AM

Man with The Iron Fists

I give it a 8/10 because there wasn't as much action as I thought there was from the trailers.

Wreck-it-Ralph

9.5/10

Let me start by saying that I went to watch it solely for Paperman; I had next to no clue what WiR will turn out to be, nor did I have any expectations for it. Now, I'm glad I watched it, because this movie is very well paced and greatly thought out. There are various moments in the film that makes you become engaged with the characters' motivations and trials. The subplots are seamlessly blended with the main. Aside from the cameos, there are so many references that would make you want to rewatch it. If I have to nitpick, it would be that Felix' character could have been developed a -wee- bit more. (In the jail scene, he could've realized his bias against Ralph as he ranted about his own misadventure, instead of Ralph having to say it to him. A very minor difference, but him having the epiphany would have strengthened his character)

i just watched mortal kombat

i love that movie 10/10

I recently saw Argo in the cinemas, the story is based on a true event and while I missed the very beginning I quickly understood what was happening...and I was on the edge of my seat with suspense for a lot of the movie...it was very scary to think that things like that actually happened....

Anyway I give it a rating of 4/5. Definitely not boring.

American History X 10/10

I last saw the Little Mermaid II. Very disappointed in the movie. Was expecting a lot more. 4/10

Shiverpass 12-20-2012 04:20 AM

I recently saw Rise of the Guardians. I loved the movie. It was funny, sad, emotional, and a lot of times I found myself leaning forward in my seat because it was just so exciting to watch. I felt like a little kid again. The plot felt original and creative, the characters were all perfect in their own ways. Things were really funny and then things were really sad. Great combination, if you ask me. The score was wonderful and I will definitely say that I want to go see it again as well as I want to buy it when it comes out.

5/5

The hobbit: 9/10 (might be higher if I watched it sans 48fps)
Couldn't get used to the 3D's framerate. Felt a lil'too long at some points, only for the action to pick up again and I forget that it's a 3hr movie. Left the theatre humming Misty Mountains. Fun romp.

deog 12-27-2012 07:33 PM

Well, let see..The last movie i saw was "The Hobbit", that is a really interesting movie, my rating would be 5 stars, is you have seen Lord of the rings and you havent understand stuff, then i would recomment u watch the hobbit u will understand stuff from lords of the rings, and also in that movie is where they find the ring, and its so awesome , i really liked it. :) have a nice day

ainebella 12-30-2012 04:52 AM

I just saw Les Miserables, and I would give it 8/10. I have seen it so many times before on stage and with the anniversary dvds. They missed some of my favorite songs but thats okay, the ending song is what made it for me, it was verry good. The acting and singing was also pretty awesome, and they defiantly put an effort to please Fans of the musical/operetta.

Iron Man
10/10
Why 10 out of 10? Besides having a crush on RDJ and Toy Stark, I cannot help but ogle at the film's detail and action. The soundtrack is perfect as are the cast. Even though I have I watched it so much, I can easy state that I still lean into the screen and get all giddy whenever Tony does something charging. Definitely recommend this movie to those of you who haven't basked in its epic glory yet.

Oh! And I own it and have watched it more than ten times. So, yes, I would and will watch it again. B|

The Hobbit

100/10

Not a typo, the movie literally was just ten times better than perfect. I now have two pairs of the theatre's Hobbit-themed 3D glasses.

Bilbo's songs are just really brought to life. I've been humming the "Misty Mountains" since I first watched the movie shortly after its release. That's one thing the movie did significantly better than I ever could have in reading and imagining and it probably warrants about seventy of the hundred.

To make it all the better, there were very few people in the theatre, and most sat in the back. My sister and I were front and center for the whole experience.

My only complaint would be that it's intended to have multiple parts. I know that this was already about three hours long, but I was well prepared to sit in that theatre for another six hours. I need to hear the rest of those songs!

It opened quite perfectly too, placing the movie in context of the main LOTR series. We hear about Bilbo's birthday and watch Frodo run off to greet Gandalf. All the meanwhile, the Shire theme song plays in the background and I, for some inexplicable reason felt so suddenly welcome and at home. It's the same song we've grown accustomed to hearing in the background of the Lord of the Rings movies and after such a long time of not watching them nor reading any books relating to Middle Earth, it's just a sudden surge of sweet nostalgia. "I'm back in Middle Earth, where I've spent so much time as a child and its awesome. I've missed it." When you watch this movie, be sure to be near the speakers. The music is a huge part of it.

My only real complaint would be the very end. I'll leave out most of it to keep from spoiling the story for those who are unfamiliar, but it cuts to a scene where the dragon opens an eye and then it ends. I found it a rather crude and corny way to assure fans of another movie yet to follow.

ElysiumFate 01-02-2013 07:02 AM

The last movie I saw was Lawless, and admittedly I kinda thought it sucked. 6/10 rating. There was a lot of unnecessary nudity in it.

Bearzy 01-03-2013 10:06 AM

Jack Reacher. I went tonight. It was actually really good. 4.5/5. (I think John Barrowman would have made a better Reacher. That is all.)

Remyre 01-04-2013 02:03 AM

Resident Evil Retribution ... the rating? Michelle Rodriguez gets 5 out of 5 just cause she's beautiful and amazing. The movie itself I'd say... I don't really remember it, cause I watched it on New Years Eve! XDD But when I watch it again, I can give it a real rating!!

CrossHatch 01-07-2013 06:56 PM

Um, last movie I watched a believe was "The Good Son". It was a great movie, and it's always funny seeing actors when they're young. My rating for it would probably have to be maybe a 4.5 out of 5. Mainly due to it being kind of predictable, it did have some good laughs, but also a lot of really super unrealistic moments which for such a serious movie is somewhat unacceptable. But oh well, all in all, good movie!

I should start coming here more often, I watch movies all the time!! XD

Risque 01-08-2013 09:27 PM

Well the last movie I watch was The Hobbit, but everyone and their mom has already seen it so I'll rate the one I watched before that which was Seven Psychopaths; I give it a 9/10. All the actors were amazing in there, especially Walken, and the plot twists are awesome!
Seriously entertaining movie.
