The last movie I watched was the last movie in a mini-horror/scary movie marathon my fiancé and I had on Halloween night. We watched three movies that night: Lords of Salem (Decent movie), Sinister ( was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie) and the last movie we watched was Evil Dead. Now I know this is a forum that I should watch my language in but.. That was the most F-ed up movie I had seen in a long time. The gore started from the very beginning and didn't stop at all until the credits rolled. Now that being said, I do have to admit the story was pretty good. My fiancé and I get into intellectual discussions about movies when we watch them lol. Right before we watched Evil Dead, we were talking about how we like it when a movie doesn't rely on gore to be scary (After Sinister. It wasn't really scary but did keep us guessing throughout. It was nice.) I noticed that a lot of movies now a days rely more on gore than having a decent plot. Evil Dead was not one of these movies for us. While this movie is very heavy on the gore, it is one of those movies where the gore is part of it. It is not senseless gore and violence, but it adds to the movie. Over all, while I will never watch this movie again, I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting a good gore flick that isn't lacking in a story :3 |
Maleficient... Now I know that Disney used all it's money to buy Star Wars rights... x)

Dawn of the planet of the Apes. There were good things, and bad things about it and the previous movie. I'd give Dawn....a 6/10 maybe. The second half of the movie was considerably better than the first.
|
I saw Into the Woods last week. It was pretty good. Darker than I expected. Didn't really like the actress who played Little Red Riding Hood, but Jack was spot on. The other actors were pretty good, too. The princes were funny.
I'd probably give it about an 8.5/10. Again, pretty good, but not the best I've ever seen. |
So I just saw The Maze Runner. I read the book a couple years ago I think, and I didn't remember too much about it, but I thought the acting was pretty great and I liked the movie a lot. So probably an 8/10

I just saw Big Hero 6, actually. It was a cute movie, but the story could've been a little better. I fell hard for the big giant ted- er... robot. It was so adorable, I can't believe I actually enjoyed it XD

I saw quite a few movies in the past week:
Gravity - 5/5 stars!!! For a storyline that was seemingly so simple, this was an epic edge-of-your-seat and heart-wrenching movie. Mrs. Doubtfire - 5/5 stars. I've wanted to watch this movie for almost my entire life. While I had hoped for a happier ending, it made perfect sense for reality. So, 5/5 stars nonetheless. Ender's Game - 5/5 stars!!! Fantastic movie based on a book by the same title. The movie made me want to read the book and hope for sequels! The Guardians of the Galaxy - 4.75/5 stars. I liked the movie, but was confused by the character Bereet and her role at the beginning versus the end of the movie... Divergent - 5/5 stars!!! Another twist on a Dystopian society, jam-packed with action. The movie made me want to read the book and look forward the sequel in a few months!! |
House at the End of the Street - 5/5 stars!!! - I love that this movie was not as scary as I anticipated. The plot twists and edge-of-your-seat scenes were fantastic!!!

Predestination I believe it was called. One of the best time travel centric movies I've seen. I give it a 10/10. It's so convoluted and as much as my dad disliked the 'expository dump', I loved it. I felt like I knew the characters so much better than you usually do with movies.

I last watched Life According to Sam. I give it 10/10. What an inspiring story!

the last movies i saw were:
1)Into The Woods -if i knew it was a musical i'd give it 7/10 -it was REALLY long -i love meryl streep 2) Mocking Jay -my boyfriend made fun of me because i get scared easily and i hate violence -good movie but i'm not a fan of the whole killing other people thing 3) X Men: Days of Future Past -LOVE IT -evan peters is soo cute -the plot is crazy cool -i'm a huge x men fan |
I believe the last movie I watched was Before I Go to Sleep. :)
Pretty good idea to it, not the greatest execution unfortunately. Still a pretty decent movie regardless. :) I'd give it around a 6.5/10 overall~ |
Tinkerbell and the pirate fairy.
Shut up, I give it a 10/10. It was just a wonderful adventure and so perfect. The best Tinkerbell movie yet. It connects the movies so well to Peter Pan and all the little details are clever and funny. |
Last movie you watched?
What's the last movie you watched? Doesn't have to be the last movie you saw in theater, it can be also the last movie you saw at home or wherever. Last movie for me was Kiki's Delivery Service. c: |
I watched The Equalizer the other night! Very action-ey, well made though. Violent, but it was impressive in the same breath ^^
|
I watched Mr. Peabody and Sherman yesterday and I also watched Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. They were alright, but the only reason I even considered watching them is because I've been snowed in this entire week.
|
I last watched:
The Interview - 9/10 A hilarious movie, but did not enjoy one specifically gruesome scene. I know it was meant to be funny, but I was not prepared for it, haha. Frozen - 11/10 This might be my favorite Disney movie to date. |
I last watched The Interview and Frozen!
|
I wanted Up last night. lol I love that movie.
|
The Scribbler:
About a woman with multiple personality disorder that get's put into a halfway home known for having a high suicide rate. It's a Sci-Fi Thriller with lots of action and not at all PG. I liked it but probably not for everyone. For me a 4.5/5 |
I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame last night ^^
|
I just watched Mockingjay Part One. Honestly, it was meh. But then again I thought the book was pretty meh as well. The last movie was pretty good though so I guess I'm a little disappointed they couldn't make this one better. But then again when the source material didn't hit home with me I can see why the movie wouldn't either. I'd give it a two out of five.

Big Hero 6 I really did love this one! It was a really emotional movie, and I liked how it was mainly about dealing with loss. It had its dark moments and I was so taken aback by it all (in a good way). I highly recommend it to those who are hesitant to give it a shot [yes] Definitely 5/5 cupcakes! |
Birdman (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) 4/5 over all it is a good movie, however people have walked of the thread, and I have even heard the movie called boring.
After seeing the movie I can say that the cinematography was wonderful and The story at least for me was anything but boring. However, the way that it talks about comic book movies is down right insulting, this wouldn't have bothered me if there had been valid argument made for that kind of movie made by more then one of the charecters. But, in Birdman there is maybe one character who even seems to stand up for that kind of movie. I know that that isn't what the movie is about, however it is clearly stated several times thought out the movie, that acting in a comic book movie equals selling your soul and that serious actors don't do comic book movies. The main character is even hunted by Birdman. Over all I found Birdman to be complexly unlikable and unsympathetic as a character in the movie. Even the idea that comic book movie are all action and explosions, with no heart and no need for characters was very annoying. However like I said this isn't what the movie is about. The movie itself is about the relationships between the main character, his family, and the people his is putting on a stage play with. There is also the critic who has told the main character, that she isn't going to watch his play, but is going to give it the worst review she has ever written. In the ended the critic dose ended up going to see the play, but I am not going to say what kind of a review she ended up giving the play or why, since that dose ended up affecting the very end of the movie. |
The hobbit
