The Jerk!

10/10 cause it lightened up my day. Though, it made me twitch at times...but you can't help but laugh throughout the whole thing!

The last movie I watched was last night actually. It is possibly one of my favorite movies and it is called 'To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar.'
It is a hilarious movie about three drag queens driving from New York to California in order to attend a Drag Queen pageant. Their car ends up breaking down in a southern town called Schnidersville. What makes the movie even better is that the actors of the drag queens are A-List celebrities; Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo.
For it being my favorite movie, I give it five stars~

just saw Death Sentence.....9/10 :)

Just finished watching "The Illusionist" a bit ago and wow, what a great story! I loved the twist at the end - didn't see it coming. That and The Prestige were both wonderful magician movies and quite different from each other. I'd give this a 9/10. Neat music too!

I saw the Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D on Saturday. I give it a 10/10. <3
The Nightmare Before Christmas original was great, and Disney pretty much perfected 3D here though. The picture was amazingly clear, and they got rid of the traditional red and blue that all the other 3D movies I've seen had. Great time, great story, and original characters. I loved it.

The last movie I saw was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I’ve been too lazy to change DVDs in my DVD player, so I just let it rerun. XD I think I’ll give it a 7/10. It’s an okay movie, but not something which I’d want to see over and over.

Teshia 10-23-2007 03:28 AM

last two movies i have seen..

flushed away - a very good movie especially if you need a good laugh. there is a lot of sacking on the boys part, and a girl with sweet pants. i loved this movie and so did my fiancé. i recommend you to watch it with someone little or close to you.

my super ex girlfriend - freaking hilarious, and something everyone will enjoy. i am sure someone out there has had a partner like this one and can relate.. just minus the super powers.

flushed away 10/10
my super ex girlfriend 9.9/10

Last movie I saw was Kiss The Girls with Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd. It was overall an okay movie. A bit dull in places, but it did have some very good moments. Very Hollywood, though. 3/5

The last movies I saw were Across the Universe and Transformers. I'd give both of them 4.5/5.
I thought they were both amazing musically and visually. I'd could go on and on about them but I won't.

POTC2 for like the tenth time 10/10 I love that movie :]

storyline was a bit shaky but it still rocked

The most recent movie was "The Ring" the English version of it. I had seen parts of the Japanese version before when I was little, so some of it stuck with me when I was watching it, which meant that I was so scared throughout the entire movie. I know that many of you will say that how is this movie scary, but seriously, I was so freaked out when Samara crawled out of the TV like that... -shudders-

I'd give it a 8/10 for scaring the hell out of me, but take away 2/10 for the stupid ending. "It never ends." And they continues to make copies for everyone. BTW?!?! Also, haven't seen the sequel to this, but apparently REALLY stupid.

Last Wensday, due to Film class I watched "Sin City". I found this movie quite good. It was different from the type of movies that we usually watch and wouldnt be a movie that I would want to watch on my own. If I had to rate it I would give it a seven out of ten. Why a seven, well it didnt have the usuall happy ending and how they inserted colour was interesting. The blood was interesting (loved it) with it being white. They also had very strong character. My favorit was Miho. Loved her, and she was a very interesting character even though she wasnt one of the main character. All in all a movie that I would say watch.

Jadyalyn 10-27-2007 03:05 AM

Kandayo 10-27-2007 04:31 AM

Just saw Final Destination 1 and 2, right after each other. The movies were definitely a 9/10 at least.
I want to see the 3rd now. :D

MayuSatomiJuRei 10-27-2007 02:52 PM

room 1408, it's based on a stephen king Novel and it was really good, the ending was a tad strange but the whole movie left me feeling a little weird. It's the first time as well that I dragged my friend in to watch a horror movie as shed doesn't normally like watching horror movies. I must admit it is tame compared to The grudge movies (japanese of course)

Onionlord 10-28-2007 04:33 AM

I just got back from Nightmare Before Christmas 3D. I rember seeing it in theaters when it first came out, and I own it on dvd of course, but it was still great to get to sit in a theater and see it again. The 3D was done very well, it had a great feel to it.

Raspberry Tea 10-28-2007 06:57 AM

I saw Ju-On the Curse: 2 on Fear Net the other day. (meaning I have now watched 4/6 of the Ju-On/The Grudge movies). While the Ju-On the Curse movies are supposedly better than the Ju-On the Grudge movies, I think the other version of Ju-On 2 was much scarier. It did however rank high above the only one of the American movies I saw.

Tank_Girl 10-28-2007 08:00 PM

Last movie I saw in theater was Across the Universe.
I'd give it 3 1/2 out of 4.
It's really geared toward a more artsy and older-music-loving crowd, but it's still a really good movie.
The covers and uses of the Beatles songs were really well done. :]
Go see it if you liked Rent.

Dan In Real Life.

Steven Carrell is such a good actor, and not to mention Dane Cook is really hot. Carrell really had a strong role in this movie. It was romantic, heartbreaking, family-oriented, and hilarious.

I give it a 3.7/4 because they should've had more of an ending to the movie.

RelativeInsanity 10-29-2007 05:04 AM

I saw the Shining the new version
I had seen the old one and really idk which one to choose, for the ones who do not know what it is about it goes soemthing like this:
A Former teacher and recovering alcoholic his name was Jack Torrance (by Jack Nicholson) interviews for a caretaker job at the Overlook Hotel which is supposed to be one of the best in the world 5 stars and all but in an effort to rebuild his life after his volatile temper lost him a teaching position. The hotel manager, Mr. Ullman, warns Jack that he and his family will be snowbound through most of the winter and of the potential for cabin fever (he should have listened) . He further reinforces his point by recounting a season when the caretaker, Charles Grady, went crazy and brutally killed his wife, his two girls (ages eight and ten, those are the evil twins that appear in the movie), and finally himself. Given his own desperation and the opportunity to pursue his true passion, writing, Jack acknowledges the warning, but accepts the job. Here starts a whole bunch of jumps from the audience when the man starts talking to ghosts who take advantage of his condition with alcohol to persuade him to Kill his family, though this time it will be different...
Am I a spoiler? no way you will have to see it, in my opinion , the first one was great but yeah the second one's actor dont remember the name) is awesome too =)

Well right now I’m watching Victor/Victoria with Julie Andrews. I absolutely love this movie. I miss movies being made like this. Simple sets, great plot, funny dialogue. Something that doesn’t rely on special effects to carry the film, a time when actors really had to act ^_^

Anyway I give this movie a 10 because it is one of my all time faves.
