Unhook the Stars

4.5/5

Good movie. It has a really good cast, Gena Rowlands, Gerard Depardieu, Marisa Tomei, Moira Kelly... I love Gerard Depardieu. I think he's an incredible actor. It was a good story, different from anything I've seen before. I've never seen a movie in which a 50 or so-year-old woman becomes best friends with a 7?-year-old. The movie made me cry. The ending was kind of vague. It was kind of left as a mystery. I hate when stories end like that, but I still liked the movie.

The last movie I saw was Se7en. I'd give it a 9/10 since both the acting and the plot was good. Basically it was about the 7 deadly sin and how this one guy tries to kill off people 7 different people who have these sins. He kills them in a sadistic way. The main character is cool too. He's the detective and is played by Brad Pitt.

The last movie I saw was Twilight, I prefer it over the books as they RE-WROTE a lot of it and I found the books to be written very..... "elementary-school-like".
I give it a 9.5/10.
Very good movie, It made me appreciate some actors more AND Twilight... though I will never respect Stephanie Meyer for she does not have skills.
This is my opinion, and my opinion only.

Snowglobe

4.5/5

It was a cute movie. It was the first time I'd seen it. Last year when it premiered, I didn't think it looked any good. But Sunday, we kind of had an ABC Family Christmas movie day, and we watched it. It was a cute story, different from others I've seen.

Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa. I give it a 8.5. It was so funny and still had an actual storyline. Also it had so many references to musich and other stuff. I loved it.

*sighs* Twilight... Alright, at first I did not want to see it at all. I was thinking 'this book is too good to be made into a movie.' Then, I saw the trailer. I was like 'Darnit, I wanna see it now.' When I went to go see it, it was kinda sorta good, but it could have seriously been directed better. I mean, c'mon, in the end when Bella and Edward are dancing, there are like two other couples dancing beside them. The two couples are supposed to leave, but instead of doing it naturally, they just stop dancing and just walk away. My attention just got averted to those couples and began thinking, 'Why did they stop dancing?' But, it was a good movie and stayed pretty true to the book. Also, they made Edward much more fun to watch. He wasn't as hot as I wanted him to be, but oh well. Can't have everything. (Oh, BTW Carlise was way too pale. Sure, he's a vampire, but still... He kinda blinded me with his skin)

All in all, I give it a 6 out of 10

Se7en

4.5/5

I didn't like the end! The rest of it was good, but I like happy endings. I was startled a few time, but it didn't really scare me. It was a little creepy, though. Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt were good together.

um Pashendale (no idea how to spell it xD) no one outside of Canada will know this movie, it's from the Toronto film festival and it's about a battle from world war 1. My dad being a war buff desperately wanted someone to go see this movie with him so he drove up from Orangeville just to see it with me.

Now the thing about this war movie....it has very little war and lots of corny love story. In the beginning the main character is sent home after a traumatic experience and most the movie takes place here.

Lots of recurring corny phrases and events...it'd be hard to explain without spending an buncha time writing it all out and I'm lazy xD

So all in all i guess it was an ok love story with the war in the background, he does go back to Germany late in the movie (Battle for Pashendale) but he goes to protect the brother of the woman he loves who got tricked into enlisting. There are a few funny parts but over all i didn't like it very much. 2/5

Fight Club

2/5

I didn't get all the hype about the movie. Why are so many people obsessed with it? It was weird. I get that the guy's crazy, but... I don't know. Some parts went on too long, I think. It wasn't really too much of a story, but it lasted three hours. I thought I'd like it since I like professional fighting and such. I just didn't like it, though. I doubt I'll ever watch it again.

I watched a Japanese film last night on Crucnyroll called The Vanished.

It starts off with a little boy standing outside an old man's house calling for his mother and father and begging to be let in. The old man inside is frightened and calls someone on the telephone telling them the boy is there. Shortly thereafter a younger man appears and approaches the child as he's banging on the window. The younger man quickly places a burlap sack over the boys head, puts him in a large wooden crate and drives him out to the woods. The man removes the lid on the crate, the child stands and the man bashes him over the head with a club. ... But the boy is far from dead.

The protagonist of the movie is a journalist from Tokyo who goes out to a small town to investigate one story which leads him to a bigger one.

Good movie. Not so scary, but still a good flick in my opinion.

My Sassy Girl - 8/10

A Korean movie. :) It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, since alot of people said it was 'awesome'. It was a pretty good movie I guess, just didn't meet up to my expectations. The ending was a little awkward. XD

Teeth -- 3.5/5

Teeth is probably one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen xD Don't see it unless you can stomach gore in places where you probably would not expect it. It was successful in pulling you into the plot, though, and you go through the fear and repulsion the main character feels when she realizes she has an extra set of teeth. The ending is hilarious lD and disturbing. Overall, good movie.

The Exorcist. Now Captain Howdy's username and creepy signatures make sense :)

BUT it was a MAJOR let down! It didn't scare me AT ALL and I was very dissapointed.
I found it funny. Weird, but funny.

So I give it 5/10 D:

It was pretty good. It made me cry a few times. It was a cute story. Kind of the typical Christmas story with a twist.

I watched the Sixth Sense in school, it was a really interesting film. I never expected the ending to end like that, very good film in my opinion. It's not predictable like all the other films. 10/10!

The Note

4/5

I was a cute story. I liked it. I don't know why it took me so long to watch it. The story was kind of a fantasy, though. I tend to go for more realistic. I don't believe in miracles like the movie had. But, it was good.

'Death Proof' by Quentin Tarantino. This move is an interesting one. We all know that Tarantino is a movie genious who directed greats films like 'Pulp Fiction' or 'Kill Bill'. But this one is different. The heroines are nothing but talk and the main hero, Stuntman Mike is a quite a psycho all right. The action is poor (especially in the first part of the movie) and short. But something in this movie makes you want to watch it again and again. To anyone who is interested in Tarantino's works (and is above 18 years old, of course), should see this movie, because behind these crappy dialogues it has a lot of hidden sense. 8/10

Transporter 3.

I know, I went in there expecting the worst and was suprised at its watchability. I actually enjoyed the film and it wasn't at all what I expected.

The grand scheme of things, Id give it a 7 to 8 out of 10. Not the best third of a movie series but by far not the worst.
