Saw 5
was amazing <3 so much gore... me likey <333 5/5 |
The last movie I saw was Monsters vs Aliens and I have to say it was rather adorable.
4/5 |
I saw the Wrestler and it was one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life.
It was so real and so sad. I cried at least three times. Two thumbs up and five stars... |
The Capture of the Green River Killer
4/5 It was really good. I think it's Tom Cavanaugh's best performance, at least in the few things I've seen him in. It just loses a point for veering away from reality a bit with the whole ghost and all that. I get why they did it, though. |
I watched two fun old movies this week on new local channels (since digital kicked in.)
Excuse Me, Waiter, There's a Girl in My Soup. Really dated, but funny anyway, like the way of an episode of The Partridge Family is still watchable. Goldie Hawn and Peter Sellers in Swinging London. So, 3/5 stars. and Class Rob Lowe and Jaqueline Bisset with others like John Cusack in an 80's teen Chicago classic NOT from John Hughes. It's sort of a lame one but I watched it anyway because my aunt was engaged to one of the stuntmen in it for awhile. 2.5/5 stars. |
13 Going On 30
5/5 I saw it a couple years ago, but I didn't really pay much attention to it then. However, this time, I was completely enthralled. I didn't read or do anything on the computer, except during commercials, while watching it. It's a really cute movie. And Mark Ruffalo's just such a cutie. I actually teared up during one part of it, but it was pretty funny too. |
Disaster Movie...
I give it 5/5 The funniest thing EVER!!! Specially when "Alvin" said "Chipmunks Love Nuts!" |
Last movie I saw was Knowing, with nickolas cage.
I saw it in the cinema's yesterday, god how I love to go to the cinema's xD It's about a professor (I think). His son is on a elementary school where they made a time machine 50 years ago, where children put drawings in a capsule, they had to draw what they think how the future would look like. So at the present time which is 50 years later, they open the capsule and take out the drawings. The son of the professor, Caleb, gets a borring piece of paper with alot of numbers. So he is like: okay great, and takes it home. The professor sees it, and in a whiskey-mood he looks at it and discovered that all the numbers are dates of big disasters all over the world, and a few are yet to come... |

I saw that movie too! And, because of the premise and Nicholas Cage, had such high hopes for it before the plotline spiraled downward into an apocalyptic pile of steaming cliché. :-x The inciting incident was hardly believable-- the moment wherein cage realizes that pattern of the numbers, unlikely at best. Entire suspension of disbelief is a bare minimum requirement. Sadly, though, this later comes to seem as one of the most inspired, well-thought out plot points in the entire film, because the rest of the deus-ex-machina premises just go downhill from there. The movie is just... tacky... Cage even falls to his knees in the classic melodrama pose of, "Neeeeeeeeeeyeeeeiiiiiioooooooooooooooooooohhh !" at the ending. They've got creepy pale men in dark coats, and cute but creepy little kids with the inexplicable power to "hear" things... Bunnies arbitrarily appear in a bathetic tribute to Easter just before the "Second Coming of Christ," as heralded by some tall skinny alien dudes. ... and oh, the climax of the film.... Replete with aliens and small children skipping through an overly-CGed field, while the flowers dance in the wind next to the tree of life. It's all so very bad as to defy description. They don't even have that much corn in the midwest. Knowing scores a 2/10, for me, because you can at least find the production funny if you laugh at how seriously the movie and its creators seem to take the whole farce. |
the last movie i saw was passiondale and i would rate i 8/10
|
Twilight.
I'm glad I didn't read the books first, 'cause then I wasn't expecting anything. Still alright I guess. 6/10 |
dragonball evolution.
it took from me 2 hours of my time that i will never ever get back. 1/10 |
The last movie I saw was Fast and Furious.
I got a little excited knowing they were bringing back some of the originals, but I only ended up disappointed. In the first movie, they seemed to interact much more. Like, the talk between Mia and Brian about the team made them seem like family. The little scenes where they were working on cars together, or praying to the car gods at dinner made the movie, in my opinion. In this one, it seemed to me like they lost that. Even with the remaining 'originals,' they just didn't seem to have that connection. The new crew in the beginning just seemed to be pointless to me. I mean, they weren't even really used in the movie. I don't know...I didn't like it, but I didn't hate it either. I guess 5/10. |
The last movie I saw was "Bedtime Story".
It was hilarious. I'd watch it again and again. I'd give it a 5. x3 |
In theaters? Watchmen. Not as good as the comic, and too much Manhattan. O.o *traumatized*
Last movie in general- The Producers (2005) Rating- 10/10 Amazing movie!!! XDDD It's hilarious and has amazing music. XD Win. |
PUSH - 8.5 or a 9
I really liked it. The story was great, and the set up was great. The characters balanced out. I am hoping for a sequel or some sort. It wasn't full of action, but the story made up for that. |
America
4/5 It was pretty good, fairly interesting. It was a nice, realistic story. It wasn't good enough to distract me from everything else, though. |
the last movie..?
wild wild west. it was ok. 3/5 |
17 Again gets a 7/10 in my books.
The acting was actually really good and believable, it had it's heart-warming parts, it's laugh-out-loud funny parts, and in general it was a good addition to the idea that's been beaten to death with a stick countless times. (You know, kid becomes adult or adult becomes kid, how many times are they going to do that???) Zac Efron took a decent step out of his Disney star mold and did something that felt so much more adult (despite the fact that he was still playing a teen). There were some issues that pushed it back from an 8 (which was the highest this done to death idea could have gotten in my opinion), like the continuity problem (the wife was pregnant in '89, movie took place in '09, yet the eldest daughter was only 18? What?) and a few effects problems. But other than that it was really decent. |
hmm last movie I watched was Monsters vs. Aliens. It was an okay movie, the animation was cute and adorable only the jokes were so corny.
Especially the blob guy, through I loved Reese Witherspoon's & Hugh Laurie's characters. I'd rate it 8.5/10 |
I watched The Duchess
Can I say that i love the outfits in this movie? Every new outfit got me excited. it was hip, modern and yet it suited the era it was supposed to fit in. Every piece of clothing she wore was so intricate with lots of detail! If only I could wear something like that. Keira Knightley was stellar aain performing in the main role and she was really convincing I must say. Her acting of the Georgiana really brought me to tears. the storyline, though we know it may not be 100% accurate since 'G' was not exactly as great as she was in the movie compared to in real life, it was still a good movie and it got me really interested in reading up about what the original duchess was like. I got kind of appalled at how the story progressed in a way not because of how it was written but more on the story itself and how men were such asses back in the day :( I felt so sad for the character and women in general especially since society back then didn't seem to care much about them and their husbands could sleep around freely with others. It really must have sucked to be a woman back then but I must say bravo to the leading male character who managed to be such a hated character yet he was still confused. It left me confused about what he as a person is really like but he did a excellent job with the role! I loved the movie and though it brought me to tears, it really moved me! Rating: 9/10 |
I got the Star Wars original triolgy boxset, I just finished watching it last week when I finished with Return of the Jedi. Actually, thats my favorite movie. I know people say its the weakest point in the triolgy, but I feel it is very underated.

Then She Found Me
4/5 It gets points for being more realistic. It was fairly interesting, but a little boring. It had a nice cast, Bette Midler, Helen Hunt, Matthew Broaderick, Colin Firth... But it was kind of forgettable. Flying By 3/5 It had a nice story, an older guy goes to his high school reunion, meets up with his former band and starts singing with them again. Heather Locklear was kind of... a bitch. I can't think of another word for it. I was actually wishing for a divorce. The movie seemed kind of like a promotion for Billy Ray Cyrus's new album. I love Billy Ray's music. I own four of his CDs, a casette tape, a VHS of him on tour like a decade ago. I've been a fan for a long time, but really, you don't need to make a movie with almost only your songs on it. |
Twilight
4/10- It was less eye burning than the book... plus, I didn't have to pay for it since Youtube had it. |
I rewatched 10 things I hate about you recently...
It kind of made me sad because that was the first time I was introduced to Heath Ledger and it just feels as if it was yesterday that he was still acting and making movies. His role wasn't exactly the best since it was just another teenage movie but he was already a great actor in the making and you could see it from that role. My favourite role had to be Julia Stiles'es. She was the best sarcastic sister ever. I loved how she brought the script to life with her natural wit. She is really a natural for these roles and if anyone else was casted I highly doubt that it would appear the same >.<" But the rest of the cast was pretty good too since the roles were pretty much regular high school students acting in some screwy way. I liked the setting they did. The school grounds looked so amazing. It was something like a castle. If only we had schools looking like that over here in Malaysia. But generally, the storyline is okay. It was funny because of how it progressed and it really was the actors that made it work because the script is something just 'so-so' but I do love how the writers pictured the whole thing and how they probably could imagine how they would speak because the retorts were pretty fast! O.o I also loved the music they put into the movie with a lot of indies angry girl rock. The songs were really catchy and suited the situations really well and after watching that movie, I downloaded the soundtrack though I sadly lost all the songs =.=" Anyways, great movie to me because it had Heath back in the day and we all miss him >.<" Rating = 7/10 |
