I watched Gran Torino a few days ago. Excellent movie. Definitely a good reminder of how good of an actor Clint Eastwood is. Of course, I also think the other actors did a very good job. I would highly recommend.

10 out of 10 chocolate truffles! <3

I just saw this movie the other day on DVD too. Very long. I liked it, but it could have moved a little more. It made me cry too.

I wonder how Brad Pit felt looking like a teenager again. They did a good job with that.

Yah, I thought they did a really good job when he was the really old man at the beginning.
But I cried a lot at the very end when:

SPOILERX

He was the young boy with dementia and he was playing the piano. Just the look on Daisy's face and her reaction, it was very sad.

the last one i saw was transformers on opening night. started at 12 at night and ended around 3 in the morning. it was pretty good.

I saw Public Enemies on the 4th of July

Not a bad movie for any Johnny Depp fans, however Christian Bale was rather boring in the film, over all a good shoot 'em up movie mixed with some drama.

8/10

I saw the midnight premiere of Harry Potter 6 last night. I'd rate it an 8/10. I loved the emotional aspects of the whole movie, though one of the added scenes bothered me. But I really enjoyed the whole experience, especially since my friends and I dressed up for it. (I was Snape, my sister was Dobby XD)

Star Trek '09. Great movie. Simply fantastic. All of the actors/actresses pulled off their roles very well; I could tell who everyone was with a matter of seconds after hearing their lines. McCoy, especially. What I really liked was that they kept the original sound effects [ i.e., the phasers firing, the beaming things, whatever you call them ] and spiced it up just enough so that it sounded modern, but you could still recognize them clearly.
It was clear that JJ Abrams didn't just make a movie with explosions and romance and violence and whatnot and just slap 'Star Trek' on it. He really kept true to the series, and I really like that.

In short, 5/5. Definitely. <3

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

I'm not going to lie, I went to see this movie because Simon Pegg is in it. It was passible for a kids movie but it didn't have the same kick as the first two in the series.

2.5/ 5

I recently watched August Rush for the first time. 7/10. I really liked the last song, though, the one Evan conducts. >w<

Harry Potter 6... 9/10 Cause I cried like a baby when Dumbledore died even though I read it in the book....>XD

taitaiette 07-24-2009 02:27 AM

Harry Potter 6 at the midnight showing when it first came out. I would give it a 9/10, makes me want to go back and read the books again!

Zernita 07-24-2009 04:48 PM

I saw the Matrix this week. It really moved me and I would give it a 10 for the general storyline.
The rest however would be between 8 and 9.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, a week ago with four friends. I'd give it a 8/10, because I really liked how the humor wasn't as dry and unfunny as the other five movies. "Click click click."
I think it a HUGE improvement from the fifth movie, because it doesn't jump around to random points in the story, and keeps a pace.

I haven't read the books (I'm a lazy bastard) but, as I said, this movie was a huge improvement. good job Warner Brothers!~

I bought a Alice in Wonderland dvd, it was five euros or something, and...... it sucked : D
The movie was at least ten years old, and the special effects were.. well you can guess, not very cool.
Alice was quite nice, she had dark hair and striped socks and a yellow dress. I liked her more than the blond Disney girl. haha.
Worst thing was the caterpillar, they had made him a somekind of a military person.. And the queen was annoying. And why in hell they had to make so many of the characters old people? I mean the scene where they have the race, all the animals were seniles!

So i'd give it one or two stars. Just cos Alice had cute socks. : D

The last movie I saw was Drag Me to Hell, and it was really good as far as I could see. The fact that she died in the end I even like it, cuz what is a scary movie if the principal actor don't die?

I'd give it 4.5 stars.

Last night my sister and I watched 3:10 to Yuma. She'd seen it before, I hadn't. It started out a little slow - the older kid, I forget his name, damn did I want to slap the hell out of him. But it just got better and better and better as it went on. After seeing his performance in this, I was kind of sad that Christian Bale phoned it in so much when playing John Connor in Terminator. Too bad. I really wanted to like that movie (the kid who played Reese was AWESOME though).

Back to 3:10 - Russel Crowe was FANTASTIC as well! I can't believe they originally wanted Tom Cruise in the role. What a bad ass.

Oh yeah - and I was jazzed to see Peter Fonda in it too.

A very good movie, gets a 9/10 from me. Highly recommended.

Starri3 07-30-2009 03:09 AM

i would've said Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (which i'd give 10/10 just because i LOVE Harry Potter and i think it was the best movie so far (and sad at the end),
but i actually watched Death Note the Movie online a few days ago. I'd give it an
8/10. it was pretty good but scared me a bit because kira had so much power o;

kishura 07-30-2009 03:45 AM

Ice age 3 .. meh dint like it much 4/10

Fabby 07-30-2009 03:58 AM

Last thing I saw is the sixth Harry Potter.
Despite everyone else seeming to like it, I'd give it a 3/10.

God, that movie was slow. Long and slow and lacking in action. It gets points for being somewhat humorous and not completely sucking, but overall I was just checking my watch waiting for it to end D:

beedabeet 07-30-2009 11:22 AM

The last movie I saw was Billy Madison, with Adam Sandler. I'd give it a 5/5 for originality, but a 4/5 for comedy.

Elirona 07-30-2009 06:53 PM

The last movie I saw was Howl's Moving Castle as a suggestion by a friend. It was a really cute movie.

My favorite part was when they were running from Sullivan, and the Witch of the Waste sat there with a stoned look on her face. xD
I'd give it a 10/10! <3

I am Okay 07-30-2009 11:41 PM

The last movie I saw was Obsessed.
I'd give it a 4/5. It was a great movie though, good actors and all. . . I just didn't like to wait for actions to come and etc.. However the blonde girl is REALLY scary. She scared me so I'll have to give her a -100000000000 if that counts!:O

A Fragmental Cloud~ 08-01-2009 02:47 PM

The Last Movie I Saw Was Happy Feet.

The last movie I saw was Transformers The Rise of the Fallen and I give it a

5/5 I was reading all the crap the critic's were saying, and I think they just have not taste when it comes to action movies. I loved it I saw it twice.
