I just went and saw Megamind and I loved it.
10/10

I recently say "The Bride" With Sting in it ^^ I thought it was actually pretty good, there's just something missing but I can't quite place what it is.

7/10

Last movie I saw was The Social Network.

I give it a 4/10 It wasn't very entertaining, since the beginning was mostly about coding, and then the rest was all some legal battling with flashbacks sporadically throughout. I know that's probably sticking pretty closely to how facebook actually came to be, but the movie was just an all-around disappointment to me. I actually found myself texting in the middle of the movie. Not a thing the producers/actors/directors ever want to happen right? Ehh

Last film I saw was Rhapsody in August.

I give it an 8/10, being a Kurosawa directed film I automatically give it high marks. The story is both heartwarming and tragic, and the relationship you see fostered between the main character and her grandchildren is just fantastic. If the film has any negative parts, the pacing abruptly shifts about 3/4 of the way through, and the decision to have Richard Gere play a half Japanese person was a poor casting at best. His Japanese was laughable. However the film was produced in 1991 so I'm willing to cut it some slack.

The Hobbit. For the 70's it's not bad. It's just really weird. Overall I'd give it a 3/5 just because you can't really compare movies that are that old to movies today. I mean the animation and the story line weren't too bad and it didn't go far from tehk book too much, granted there were a few things off, but in general it wasn't so bad.

hmmm....i saw megamind on thursday. i liked it alot, i just wish it was longer and had a bit more action to it. it started out with the epic comedic action but changed to a soppy romance. i dont think thats what kids want to see. i think little boys wanna see super heroes and things blow up, not a blue headed alien have a relationship with a newsreporter. just saying...but i give it a 7/10...to be generous.

Last movie I watched was Letters from Juliet.

One of those romantic sappy movies I knew I would enjoy and I did. Perhaps the acting was a little off and I think the male lead could have done a better job. He was okay looking, charming at certain times but kind of a downer in terms of his performance. But Amanda Seyfried was pretty good in this movie. I kept comparing her to her dumb blonde role she had in Mean Girls. I think I cried watching the movie but it was probably because of the struggles the old lady had to go through and not because of the current love story going on. Perhaps it gave me a fantasy feeling that I would one day find my prince charming too. I am quite the sap and I do believe in true love :)

I think the movie being filmed in Italy, showed a lot of beautiful sites of the country. It made me want to visit the country and really go to the Garden of Juliet to drop a letter there and see what the secretaries of Juliet would reply to me. The landscape was beautiful throughout the movie too. Taking a long drive there with a loved one would be nice <3

I'd probably rate it 7/10. A good watch if you want to cry and see a happy ending kind of love story but if you're feeling vengeful about some ex-boyfriend or something, you probably won't get anything out of the movie.

I saw the newest Harry Potter this past Saturday. It was good, a little slow at points, and coulda had a better cliffhanger ending(and that better not spoil it for anyone, since the title of the movie does say Part 1). I give it a 4/5

KittyCat18 11-26-2010 03:40 AM

I saw Harry Potter, I thought it was amazing, I give it a 10/10. Best HP movie I've seen, and very detailed. They covered the book very well so far!

Pa-pancake 11-26-2010 05:25 PM

I saw Rapunzel/Tangled just now with my girlfriends.

Definitely much better than what I expected from the trailers. I honestly was not really excited to watch it but I thought it was really funny for a Disney movie. Given that she may not be the [prettiest of the Disney princesses not being the regular slim, full figured, tall willowy kind but she had her cuteness. And the movie really isn't the most romantic since the romance between the two characters wasn;t exactly the main part of the story but there ere some really sweet moments between them and I actually cried hearing the things they said to one another (no surprise though since I cry at almost anything!) I was however, a little confused by the relationship Rapunzel had with the 'witch'/her 'mother'. The mother character was neither REALLY evil nor was she REALLY nice. Somehow, you cannot really hate her since she doesn;t have any real villainy in her. Definitely will not be voting her as one of the coolest Disney villains. The animal characters however, were very well designed and the character development for the Maximus the Horse was done extremely well. Perhaps, we should see more of PAscal the chameleon as well but for 2 characters who do not say a single word throughout the movie, I think their roles were fantastic. They had real personality that was seriously funny! Without them, the movie would be a long stretchy bore =.= Its definitely a movie to watch with the family. Perhaps some of the jokes, children may not catch but I'm sure its still a fun movie to catch with the kids! I loved it and I think I wouldn't mind paying to watch it again in the theaters, though I wouldn't pay the extra for 3D. Didn't look like there would be many exciting 3D parts...

Rating: 9/10. Great movie!

AurayaWhyte 11-30-2010 08:24 PM

Eagle Eye, Fantastic movie, and Shia Labeouf helps! 5/5

Bippy 12-01-2010 11:49 PM

The Secret of Kells, everything about this movie was amazing! The music was a fantastic mix of celtic, nordic, and classical music that totally made the mood of the movie. The animation was smooth and the art style a fresh deviation from the anime-inspired animation of the past few years. The story itself was simple, but beautifully excecuted! 10/10!!!

Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1

The majority of people seem to like it but I didn't like it. It followed the book and all, but it seemed like it was following the book just for the sake of following the book. It did not flow well to me, scenes were rushed or cut really early. And there were some scenes I felt shouldn't have been cut, but weren't included in the film. Also, Hedwig's scene just seemed like they thought "Fans are going to complain if we don't kill this bird, let's just throw her in right there, like a foot ball."
I also felt they spent too much time on parts that really didn't need as much explanation or screen time, like when they were in the woods, or the wedding, THEM IN THE WOODS FOR AGES. I KNOW that it was probably to build up to everything that was going on, or show how they were hopeless and lost and all that other terrific stuff. But seriously, they could've done it more effectively, in a shorter amount of time, and spent more time on other scenes.
The graphics were of course amazing, special effects spectacular as usual. And I feel like they were trying to blind/distract people with fabulous graphics to make up for how choppy the movie was. -shrug-

I'd give it a C-
I wouldn't see it again, and just because it follows the book, doesn't make it good.

I would've preferred if it did it's own thing like it's done with most of the past movies [except the 1st and 2nd] and not follow the book too well, but still have major elements. So yep, my opinion. P:
One of the seemingly few that didn't like the movie.

Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1

I never read the books so it was pretty confusing at some parts plus to me it was really dragged out and quiet, the only really crazy part was more towards the end. I dunno if the book was like that at the start but it was kinda boring no offence to anyone. XD

i'd probably give it a 7.5/10, I'm hoping that part 2 will be better. :)

Last movie I saw would be Gladiator!

Wow! Talk about epic, this movie certainly is! It was my first time watching it even though it has been out for so many years. I love this kind of old roman empire movies. This one was rather gory but it was still pretty amazing. The storyline was good and I feel that it had good character development. Sure it was a little funny seeing how this Roman guy had an Australian accent and all but that did not bother me so much because the fighting scenes in the Colosseum were really good! My favourite was when they fought against the archers in horse carriages. How they managed to pull through as a team and to see how smart they were to use war tactics in such a small area of combat! It was ingenius! And how they made the Collosseum look so grand was another thing. It made the audience feel as if they were there at that time watching all the action. The prince really was asking to DIE! his character was so unlikeable =.= And the relationship he had with his sister was just disturbing to me. I thought that his death was too simple though. Should have been more terrible for someone that jerk-like. And despite the somewhat happy ending of Maximus joining his family in the end after he had dies. I was still unhappy knowing he had died because he really didn't deserve to. I think he would have made a great gladiator.

I would give this movie a rating of 8/10. I would watch it again to see the fight scenes!

I watched Monsters the other day. I was a little bit disappointed because, honestly, I was hoping for a mindless alien actionfest. You know, with guns and shit getting blown up and giant aliens crushing people. Either that, or something more, uh... alien-centric, I guess. I wanted to see them interacting with one another and the environment, and you got a bit of that but it was very much focused on the relationship between the two main characters. Fair enough, I suppose... but I still felt a little let down. I know how people interact, that's not as challenging and therefore not as impressive as a whole different species. I'd give it a 6/10 because of the way it was filmed (essentially the main characters were just sort of given a vague idea of the plot and told to improvise) and because I thought the aliens were cool as all motherfuck. 8D Otherwise it felt a bit lacking and the ending was too abrupt, imo.

The Last Airbender

The Live Action version of 'avatar the last airbender'

I'd give it a 4/5, it was good, the acting was excellent, the nationalities were dead-on for the most part, they didn't change anything and kept almost all the major events of season 1 intact and the effects were awesome. I also liked the costumes and settings.

I really expected it to suck balls, but it was actually alright.

The last movie that I watched was Breakfast at Tiffany's.

This is the sort of movie that is an old classic, somehow slipped under my own radar, and was absolutely fantastic despite falling under genres and themes that I generally don't enjoy at all. It's a very sweet and quirky film, and very reflective of the time. The first time that I watched it was when I was away over this summer and I was pleasantly surprised by it. The people that introduced the film insisted that the reason that she acted the way that she did was because she was a woman "living in a man's world." Personally, I didn't see that at all. What I saw was a small town girl trying to see the world and, most of all, trying to find herself in it. Also, this was the film that got me out of that "But it's so old!" phase.

I give this old jewel in the rough a ten out of ten.

NiccaWoodStar 12-10-2010 03:15 PM

I watched 500 Days of Summer just a while ago. Amazing. It 'refreshed' my love for JGL and Zooey Deschanel

I watched A Christmas Story with my mother today, even though knowing her we will be watching the marathon when it comes on.

I'd give it... 4/5. Not perfect, but VERY good.

YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT KID!

Sayomi 12-12-2010 02:35 AM

Just watched November Christmas. Its a Hallmark movie, with Sam Elliot. I teared up quite a bit during it, and if you like those kinds of movies, I'd recommend it.

Although, I didn't find it overly spectacular, I was partial to Mr. Elliot's acting, which was the main saving grace to this flick. 3/5.

Saw in 3d...AWESOMESAUCE
5 GOLD STARS..TOTALLY RE-WATCHABLE

CADFND 12-12-2010 09:44 PM

The last movie I watched was 'A Christmas Story'. My family watches it every year at Christmas time. I give it four stars, since I really do like it and it can be very funny, but it also has some moments where I'm just like 'o.O er...... Okay, then.....'

The last movie I watched before that was the new CG 'A Christmas Carol'. One star. >.> I liked the original live action movie so much better. The CG version kind of creeped me out. >.> Any kids younger than twelve that saw that movie would probably freak out. I know I almost did a couple times.
