Jack and Jill

2.8/5

It’s basically what you would expect. It’s funny in some scenes, not funny in more. Not one of Adam Sandler’s best movies, pretty down there on the list actually, but I’m just happy I got to spend some time doing what I love (watching films) with my mom after a couple of months! ^^

Now some good came form this movie. Al Pacino was big in this movie, and you get to see a wilder, crazier side of him….Johnny Depp makes an appearance and that was a pretty fun scene with him and Pacino together. The bird was hilarious, but funny animals always are in every movie.

So meh, if I knew what I would have seen, I would have saved my money and watched it on netflix or something.

Paranormal Activity 3. I'd give it a 3 out of five only because it was entertaining. But it wasn't anywhere near on par with the first two, especially since we basically knew what was going to happen.

Get Him To The Greek

I re-watched this today and it was just as good as I remembered. I love Russell Brand anyway, so the fact that he was singing in this film made it all the better. Also, the dirty jokes and drug humour really went down well with me. I'd highly recommend it. (:

5/5

Last Movie I saw : The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Language: Swedish
Subtitles: English
My Rating: 10/10
Did I read the book: No
My Comments: I absolutely love this movie and I have the next two in the trilogy, in Swedish of course. I don't understand the language, but that is no problem with subtitles. It is to my knowledge there will be an English remake of this film, but I don't know too much about it. I hope to see that and compare it to the one I just saw. I think that I will actually read the books before I try and watch more of these movies. It can't be too hard for me to read, the author has been nominated for many awards.

Oooh, I watched that movie dubbed in English, and it pretty much killed it. I would have much prefered to watch it in Swedish with subtitles.

I just finished watching "The Last Legion" on netflix. And I must say, it was VERY well done. Wished it was longer, but very nicely done in the end. Action was good, story went smooth. Didn't get boring(except the start was a little boring). All in all, I will give it a solid 4.5/5.

Just saw Hugo. I'd give it an 8/10.
It was visually stunning and had a very touching story. My brain kind of exploded from all the adorableness...

Sunday I watched "Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows". It was very well done, awesome humor, and over all, a beautifully done movie. Definitely a 10/10.

Tonight, for my friends birthday, we went and saw the new Mission Impossible movie. Alright action, not as much as we expected from a mission impossible though. And it just seemed to be drawn out. The ending sucked(if there is another one, I will NOT pay to see it). I give it a 4/10.

Ginmaku Hetalia Axis Powers: Paint it, White 10/10 Noppera-bō

However there are some things in the movie, that I do not understands at all, like all of the clips from the series, even if they do seem out of place, some how they make it all work. Also at the beginning they introduce Island, I have no idea why

If this movie has a weakness, its that some times, it is vary hard to remember what the main plot of the movie is. But, at the end of the day this is Hetalia, so its not meant to be taken too seriously. After all all of these brakes in the anime, can be seen as short intermissions.

A little while ago I watched "Megamind"
I would give it a 9/10
We were watching it with my nephew.
He had already seen it though.
It was a sweet movie.
Ended nicely.
It even had a couple of plot twists.
I would watch it again, and recommend it as well.

The last movie I watched was, Cowboys and Aliens.
I'd give it a 5/ 10 (and that's only because Olivia Wilde is effing beautiful!!)

I thought it was really predictable, and boring. They thought it was some epic, groundbreaking movie that no one could ever see coming.. except it really wasn't a story that draws you in. There's no reason to be emotionally drawn in, so what else is there? It made me think of a Michael Bay movie, just blow shite up and hope people will pay to see it again! Sorry, I expected better from the director of Iron Man... Idk, maybe it's just me....

The Secret of Kells 9/10
If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend tracking down a copy. I have never seen any thing drawn as beautifully as this, that wasn't anime. I just wish that there was a sequel, because it looks like there is more to this story. I would have liked this movie a lot more, if they had taken more time on some things.
However A big promise is made in the movie and it is fulfilled, at the vary end of the movie.

I went and saw the remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo the other day. Good director, well-chosen actors, Trent Reznor doing the soundtrack. I had high hopes.

And they were completely justified. I would say it is easily as good as the Swedish version. The acting was great, the writing was great, the soundtrack, the filmography. Everything was as good as the story deserves. Fans of the original worried about it should not be. I don't give number grades, because I find the system, and people's perception of it, broken but it is definitely a movie to see.

Ghost - 1990 10/10

This is a grate movie, and well worth buying, renting, or finding on Netflix. That is if you like a good drama that will keep you wanting more.

Went and saw The Adventures of Tintin tonight. Met my expectations for having been based on a graphic novel that I read when I was a kid, and from the cartoon I used to watch back then too. Good cast, great animation(though didn't notice much 3D going on through it all), and an ending that was left open so they could do a second. 8/10

Also watched The A-Team on Netflix tonight. For not having been the original actors, and for also being practically a pre-quel to the whole TV series(at least that's what I got from it all), it was well done. Good cast(originals would still have been better...), awesome action. 9/10

My mother just got me to watch "Letters to Juliet" with her.

It was alright. I mean, I'm not really a "chick flick" girl myself, but it wasn't too bad. A little predictable to the point where I was able to guess some of the dialogue before it was said, but I've been able to do that with almost everything I've been watching lately. The scenery in the film was lovely (you can never go wrong with Italy) and it did have a few moments that made me chuckle.

So I guess if I would have to rate it I'd give it a 3.75 out of 5.

Not sure if I'd ever watch it again, but I probably wouldn't turn it down if someone asked me to watch it with them.

Little Miss Sunshine.

9/10

I have been wanting to see this film for years! I watched it in my media studies class yesterday, and I was so glad that I finally got to see it. It has it's high points and it's low points (since I was in the classroom I did my best not to cry haha). I would definitely recommend watching this if you haven't seen it. Also, for me anyway, there was some mighty fine eye-candy in the form of Dwayne. ;D

HA HA! Sora has created a tumblr where he posts his reviews and other cool stuff if ya wanna follow or just take a look! 8DD
YamiSora's Awesome Blog!

anyways, back to the review!

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked

4.3/5

Ok, so Sora has been a Chipmunk fan all his life….Sora's brother had Teenage mutant ninja turtles and Sora had the chipmunks. Their movies were the ones Sora watched most as a kid (besides Disney). And Sora knows most people are really 50/50 on these movies cause they may love the old chipmunks, but not the CGI guys. Sometimes Sora does agree and sometimes don't, but most of the time, Sora doesn't. HEH HEH

Anywho, Sora loved this movie. It was cute, had funny parts to it, fun for the whole family……which Sora can tell you personally because he was probably the only 20-30 year old in that theater out of about 30 kids with their parents,…so maybe not the WHOLE family. And Sora was glad that Ian finally came back as a good guy (in a way) cause Sora does love Ian and his personality, but only when he’s semi-nice, like an anti-hero, THAT’s what he was like in this movie.

In all 3 movies, Sora had to get used to Jason Lee’s Dave. Sora does like Jason lee’s acting, but Sora guesses he's so used to Ross Bagdasarian Jr.’s voice, that he doesn't like Jason Lee’s raspy voice as Dave…..thus, Sora's not a fan of his “AAAAAAALLLLLLVVVVVVIIIIIIIINNNNNN!!!!!!!!!” yell. And Sora was kinda sad that the Chipettes didn’t get any more screen…..or they did, but they didn’t really do much, it was all about Dave, Alvin and Simon again, so even Theodore didn’t get much screen either.

In conclusion, if you like the first 2 movies, then you’ll like this one as well…..or at least your kids will ^^’
