HA HA! Sora has created a tumblr where he posts his reviews and other cool stuff if ya wanna follow or just take a look! 8DD
YamiSora's Awesome Blog!

anyways, back to the review!

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked

4.3/5

Ok, so Sora has been a Chipmunk fan all his life….Sora's brother had Teenage mutant ninja turtles and Sora had the chipmunks. Their movies were the ones Sora watched most as a kid (besides Disney). And Sora knows most people are really 50/50 on these movies cause they may love the old chipmunks, but not the CGI guys. Sometimes Sora does agree and sometimes don't, but most of the time, Sora doesn't. HEH HEH

Anywho, Sora loved this movie. It was cute, had funny parts to it, fun for the whole family……which Sora can tell you personally because he was probably the only 20-30 year old in that theater out of about 30 kids with their parents,…so maybe not the WHOLE family. And Sora was glad that Ian finally came back as a good guy (in a way) cause Sora does love Ian and his personality, but only when he’s semi-nice, like an anti-hero, THAT’s what he was like in this movie.

In all 3 movies, Sora had to get used to Jason Lee’s Dave. Sora does like Jason lee’s acting, but Sora guesses he's so used to Ross Bagdasarian Jr.’s voice, that he doesn't like Jason Lee’s raspy voice as Dave…..thus, Sora's not a fan of his “AAAAAAALLLLLLVVVVVVIIIIIIIINNNNNN!!!!!!!!!” yell. And Sora was kinda sad that the Chipettes didn’t get any more screen…..or they did, but they didn’t really do much, it was all about Dave, Alvin and Simon again, so even Theodore didn’t get much screen either.

In conclusion, if you like the first 2 movies, then you’ll like this one as well…..or at least your kids will ^^’

Coraline 7/10

Its not a bad movie by any means, just it one of those movies that I would have like more, if it wasn't made as a kids movie. There was a lot at stack, in the movie, but I almost never felt like there was a lot at stack.
About the only thing that I enjoyed was the use of stop-motion animation. But, even that can't make up for a weak and rushed, story line.

The last movie I saw in theatres was We Bought a Zoo. It was adorable, and cheesy, and funny, and everything you could possibly want out of a movie with that particular title. I loved it. :) 5/5

The Adjustment Bureau - 8/10
I really liked this film, it has Matt Damon in it! I'm not a big movie fan but I found this the sort of movie that I like to watch. I'd recommend it if you haven't seen it.

Draciolus 01-21-2012 06:07 AM

Last movie I saw was Haywire. Not as much action as it said there would be. Pretty slow, and what action there was would have been nice if the two dozen idiots in the theater weren't constantly talking during it with their own commentary. For the actual movie, 7.5/10. For the audience 0/10.

RoadToGallifrey 01-22-2012 07:05 PM

Shallow Hal.

8/10

I'm not the biggest fan of Jack Black, but I love this film so much. Just the fact that this makes the fact that beauty is only skin deep hit home. C:

Underworld Awakening

9.5/10

It was very well done, even though I remember the ending of Evolution meaning there were NO Lycans or Vampires anymore. The one character reminded me of the creature thing from the Grudge. But it was awesome, and was even left open for another(which could be quite awesome indeed).

Mystic 02-01-2012 05:19 PM

Iron Lady

It was okay except it was a bit too jumpy for my liking. Overall I'd give it a 7/10

Last night I watched Philadelphia and I give it a 9, its a really great story and shows how much advancement there has been since in the cause of HIV/AIDS

IndigoKitsune 02-05-2012 03:11 AM

Big Miracle 2 and 1/2 stars.
Over all the story wasn't bad, it was the way the story was delivered. Over all its on of the most boring movies, I have ever seen. The thing is, is that this movie could have been awesome, it doesn't help that this movie was directed by Ken Kwapis. And I am not a fan of Ken Kwapis work.

I saw part one of Breaking Dawn on Saturday. At least, I think it's called that. Anywho, it was much better than I thought it would be, and I'm actually looking forward to seeing the second part. 8/10

IndigoKitsune 02-14-2012 04:01 AM

The Muppet Movie 1979 10/10

This movie is as light hearted and campy as I remember, with an over the top villain.

In theaters? The Vow. I give it a four out of five stars. Four because it wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be. But the fact that it had me bawling my eyes out kept me from giving it a two-star rating. It was a beautiful movie and everything, but it was like The Time Traveler's Wife. Definitely worth seeing once, but not something I'd want to see again.

At home? Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian. I will ALWAYS give it a five out of five stars. I love the Night at the Museum movies. Ben Stiller really makes the movies seem so much funner than they are. By now, I've seen the movies so many times I have my favorite dialogue down by heart. I love mouthing the words as they say it. Definitely makes me feel like a boss. I never get tired of watching this movie, which is actually the movie that made me fall so in love with the two movies.

Draciolus 02-25-2012 06:39 AM

Went and saw Act of Valor tonight. Definite 10/10 for the sheer fact that it is dedicated to all the men and women around the world that fight terrorism and tyranny. Also, because it is based on true acts of valor.

It has great action, great cinematography, and definitely makes people stop to think about how much military forces around the world go through.

IndigoKitsune 02-26-2012 08:09 PM

Real Steel 2 1/2 stars
I love giant robots, so I thought that I might enjoy Real Steel, but in many ways the movie has let me down. I don't feel any connection to the characters or even to the robots. The only thing that saves this movie, are the robot fights, but over all that is the only reason to watch this movie.

The Secret World of Arietty

7/10

Not bad. The animation was nice and so was the story, but it was slow and predictable. However, Sora can tell that if this guy (Miyazaki's son) keeps going, he's going to create some good stuff later on. What Sora didn't like at all was the beginning and ending songs......horrible in his opinion.

Bearzy 03-01-2012 09:52 PM

I think the last movie I saw all the way through was Appleseed. I loved the concept, and the story was well done, but the animation seemed... unfinished, to me. The backgrounds were amazing, but the characters, in fact, anything with moving parts, was in a completely different style, and it really threw me off.

7/10.

ElysiumFate 03-04-2012 04:47 AM

I just saw "The Artist" today. This was the movie that won Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

Should've been half as long as it was, but it was decent.

6.75/10

Midnight in Paris
Score: 9/10
This movie was gorgeous eye candy for starters. Then again, it took place in Paris and spent a significant amount of time in the 1920's, a time period I always found aesthetically pleasing. Also my inner English Major adored the way that Scott Fitzgerald (played by one of my favorites, Tom Hiddleston, no less!) and Hemingway were portrayed. And Dali! Ugh so wonderful. I can't bring myself to give it an absolutely perfect score for a few small things though, but I can't really get into that without getting all spoilery on ya'll so I'll refrain.

Nonsensical 03-13-2012 02:47 AM

Well, the newest movie would be Hugo. I'd like to own it one day, but I don't see it becoming one that I'd watch often. 8/10

EmoMarionette 03-13-2012 05:20 AM

I just finished watching Signs. I hadn't seen this movie in years. Certainly one of M. Night's best. I actually cried during the Dinner Scene and it takes a lot for mento cry at a movie, but I also cry at weird things. Well anyway. I giventhis movie 10/10

Adrastiea 03-20-2012 09:36 PM

Morning Glory
7/10
I did enjoy the film and would see it again, but there were some bits that really didn't seem necessary to the film. It did have some really cute moments in it though and Harrison Ford did a pretty good job of being the grumpy old news caster who couldn't accept the fact that news has been trumped by sensationalism.

ekf501 03-22-2012 07:40 PM

Last movie I saw...hmmm
X-Men First Class on dvd-9/10 So awesome I've since watched it 7 times over as well as watched the ending 12 times on its own lol

Beauty and the Beast 3D in theatres-8/10 LOVE Disney and it was just stunning seeing the CGI parts of the film enhanced so vividly, but I took off 2 points because the 3D aspect on an originally 2D film brought attention to still background layers that shouldn't have been picked up on, as well as how whenever there was a lot of action and movement it was hard to follow because of the 3D.

and the last movie I watched online was Macbeth ShakespeaRetold-7.5/10 It stars James McAvoy as a modern Macbeth who is a chef. I found it very interesting to watch and follow, but I didn't enjoy it as much as someone who has read Macbeth would have. There were a lot of subtleties and things that were disjointed and I couldn't relate to anything in the play because I've never read it.

Adrastiea 03-23-2012 05:06 AM

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan 7.5/10
The major problem (for me, personally) was the film was a little slow paced. Other than that, everything was pretty well done. It's not the sort of film one goes into expecting to feel all of the warm fuzzies, in fact it's quite depressing. However, Hugh Jackman makes a random appearance and sings in Mandrin. For some reason this amused me to no end.

lightkanna 03-24-2012 06:04 AM

The last movie I saw was Knight Rider 2008 version. I like it, I'll give it a 7/10. It's about cars, that's for sure, and the plot is okay I suppose.

Nonsensical: I cried in Hugo. )= I like it, 9/10 is my choice.
