Aeris 03-31-2009 07:01 PM

I've been so happy with the past two episodes; for a while, I was considering to stop watching.

Pearl 03-31-2009 07:41 PM

I'm so excited- just 4 weeks till the big finale.

SamWinchesterforever 03-31-2009 10:41 PM

I love Heroes too :)

My favorite is Peter :)

I'm enjoying this season a lot ^.^

Rylynne 04-01-2009 03:54 AM

@ Pearl : Only 4 episodes left?! Woah, what a fast season. xDD;;

Anyhows, time for discussion on the latest episode, maybe? =P

SPOILERX

The Petrelli family love is awesome. I never thought I'd see Claire and Nathan together in an entire backstory or whatever before. But I'm glad for the sort of resolution between father and daughter. :3

And OMG! Yay for a future Petrelli reunion! =D <3<3
You gotta loved their messed up hawtness awesomeness. >83

And oh! Danko + Sylar = interesting. xDD;; Can't wait to see how that plays along~

Yay for spoiler tags now~ xDD;; <3

Yazoo 04-11-2009 12:15 AM

I am SO in love with the series v.v;;;
Really, the series I loyally watch[ed] every week can be counted on one hand, but I'm not an episode behind on Heroes ^^;;
It's just too great v.v;;;
But hell, did they leave me hanging with the last episode v.v;;;;;;;;

DAMN THEM FOR KILLING ISAAC!!! >.<

Shimawa_zen 04-11-2009 12:25 PM

I like the new spoiler tags XD

I'm thrilled that Rebel turned out to be Micah - I was hoping that it would be him, and I've wanted him to make a come back on the series for quite some time. A very under appreciated character!

Can't say I miss Tracy any more than I miss Nikki. Can't say I'm looking forward to Barbara either, whenever she gets around to showing up. But the tear from Tracy's frozen shattered body was kinda cool.

I loved how Sylar really showed up Danko when it comes to how to track and understand your prey. Sylar hunted down the shape shifter like a pro. We already knew Sylar was brilliant, but it is nice seeing his deductive process. Meanwhile we got to see Danko make a fool of himself, showing how stupid and incompetent he really is.

I felt like Daphne's death was purely for the purpose of getting her out of the way before Matt's baby and ex-wife showed up again.

ellaangelus 04-16-2009 05:19 PM

god i totally love sylar!! :squee:
is soooo awesome
yesterday i watched the latest episode
i just love this show
wish it will never end... though it will end eventually

CrepsleyKabob 04-16-2009 06:06 PM

I dunno if I liked the last episode, honestly to me it didn't really advance the storyline at all. And I thought it was dumb how Angela's sister just left like that, I figured she would have had a more important part, after all the trouble they went to get us to "meet" her.
Oh well xD Hopefully I'll like next week's better.

Genji to Heike 04-16-2009 06:29 PM

My cousins are raving about it as well but frankly, I haven't taken any effort to watch it or sit and wait for it to come on TV. If it's anything like Lost, I don't know... I'm not a big fan of Lost.

Shimawa_zen 04-16-2009 10:47 PM

Genji to Heike: It's nothing at all like Lost. Although really, no show is anything like Lost.

CrepsleyKabob: I agree. I feel like the only part of the episode that moved anything forwards was bringing Peter and Nathan back together. The whole backstory felt a little 'off' compared to what backstory we already have, and didn't really have anything to do with what is happening right now. It also seemed off that Angela would have no clue that her sister was still alive for 40+ years? Did her dreams seriously never give her a clue, not even once?

It basically said that the whole foundation of the Company was all just built on a misunderstanding, without any basis in historical fact. So what did the Company stand for, really? Is the purpose of 'keeping things secret' still valid? The potential future we briefly saw from Nathan telling the world (before Peter came back in time and shot him), would suggest that it still is in their best interests to keeping things secret.

Nichi 04-17-2009 05:03 AM

Everytime I see a new episode of Heroes I say I'm gunna stop watching it.. that never lasts long >_<

SPOILERX

But now that Sylar is a shapeshifter, I'm seriously considering it ._.;

Ya, to me that episode was less about introducing her as a new character and more about bringing them all together to form the new company. I'm glad they're bringing back old story lines though.. I was starting to wonder where all the mystery and intrigue had run off to.

Aeris 04-18-2009 04:10 AM

I've actually been really happy with the past three or four episodes. For a while, I was going to swear off the the whole series all together. XD

Bunai 04-28-2009 07:49 AM

Well, that is certainly an odd way to end the season.

-On an off topic, what is up with Claires hair!? UGH!!
I missed the bouncing curls, she looked more mature and adult, compared to how she looks now.

-Hiro is too emotional, and won't admit that Ando having powers, bothers him.
Now his time stops are effected his body physically.

-Matt continues to be my favorite character. Never faulted since Season One. He always had the most moral and the most heart.

-In a way...

SPOILERX

Sylar is dead. Been wondering when he would be off'd.
Sucks that Nat died. Since he is a good character, and the bond between him and Peter is one of the highlights of the show.

Shimawa_zen 04-28-2009 05:03 PM

Aeris - yeah, there was awhile there when I considered quitting the series, but it got better!

Bunai - I agree - I hate Claire's hair!

It was kinda weird to see Sylar hitting on Claire.

Aw - be careful Hiro!

SPOILERX

Sylar isn't dead. It is like the real Sylar is in hibernation in the mind of "Nathan," and it is just a matter of time before something triggers his awakening (remember the bit with the clock at the end? That's a hint of things to come.) They wouldn't have spent so much time this season exploring Sylar's sense of identity if they weren't going play off of that next season. (Besides - fans would mutiny of they permanently killed off Sylar.)

As for Nathan's "death" - it seemed stupid to me that they didn't just give him a little bit of Claire's blood. It revived HRG from death - it'd be easy to do that for Nathan as well.

Can't say I was too pleased to see Tracy come back either, with a murderous twist. (I suspect that that was "Tracy" with a greater understanding of her ice/water abilities as opposed to "Barbara" due to the history she has with the agents she is killing, and because that would allow the writers to keep "Barbara" in their pocket until they eventually get around to killing off "Tracy.")

CrepsleyKabob 04-28-2009 05:14 PM

Guess I'm not the only one who wasn't too pleased with the finale =____=

It was retarded. I just didn't like anything about the episode. I think that I just might stop watching Heroes, I mean even the preview of Volume 5 doesn't have me interested a bit.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted I suppose xD; I just think it's a shame that they decided to do things the way they did.

(for the record I don't *hate* Claire's bangs, but I did like her hair better before xD)

Aeris 04-28-2009 09:30 PM

I was actually pleased with the ending for the most part.

SPOILERX

I think they didn't do the Claire blood thing because he had been sitting there dead for a good amount of time. The fact that they made Sylar Nathan does bug me though.

That, and if that isn't Barbara, I'm going to be sad. I'm so done with Ali Larter

Shimawa_zen 04-28-2009 09:59 PM

SPOILERX

Aeris - No, Nathan hadn't been dead for very long when they found him, but even if he had been, there haven't been any parameters set to how decomposed a person would have to be before the blood wouldn't revive them. HRG had probably been dead for hours before he was revived (long enough to be transported back to headquarters at least). Claire was in the same building as Nathan - it wouldn't have been that hard to get her up there, and she would have been more than willing to donate blood.

Aeris 04-29-2009 09:11 PM

SPOILERX

Oh I had forgotten that! Yeah now it really seems like they were almost trying to get rid of Sylar but try not to piss off the Sylar fans...

I still liked the episode for the most part. It's better than some of the early Season 3 stuff.

II Certified II 05-01-2009 05:31 AM

hayden aww she is so gorgeous
i love that show

Bunai 05-05-2009 04:13 AM

SPOILERX

Well, I look at Sylar as "dead" since he isn't Sylar anymore. And how Matt put it, which is why I said that. =3 Quite fitting IMO

I am also not a fan of Tracy =_=; She is like the roach you can't kill. The actress isn't the problem. It's the character that is the problem. She had WAY too many chances. And she has worn out her welcome.
With me anyway.

lol Everyone is going on about Claire's blood. I guess it would have been too obvious, that and Claire doesn't know that her father is dead.

Lol I guess the Spoiler tag can be removed next Week or something.

The Final was alright in itself. Of course there were many things that could have been done, but at least it was not as awkward as previous eps.

Total cop out not showing the fight :sarcasm: I know they are on a budget, but geez... I've seen kids do Star Wars mini movies with a video camera and a free movie program. lol

Bunai 11-03-2009 11:58 AM

UGH how did Ali Larter still on Heroes!?
Seriously, something is up... her characters are so boring.
She is starting to be like Kate from LOST... just around to be trouble, and serving no purpose to the story anymore.

Shimawa_zen 11-03-2009 03:52 PM

Yeah, I'd like to see Ali Larter leave the show too. I've never liked any of her characters. All of them have been complete idiots who never bother to think before acting. I think that at least in part, the reason she is still on the show is because the show seems obsessed with blond women.

Niki - blond - dead
Tracy - blond
Claire - blonde
Claire's adoptive mom - blond
Claire's birth mom - blond - dead
Elle - blond - dead
Daphne - blond - dead
Emma (the deaf woman) - blond
Lydia (tattooed woman) - blond
HRG's new love interest - blond

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, but that's pretty substantial! For a show claims to be trying to have a diverse cast, they aren't doing so well with the women. Non-blond women in the series tend to have either be written out, or have small parts.

Monica - Black - written out of the series
Simone - Black - died a pointless death
Maya - Hispanic - written out of the series
Angela - dark brown - the only successful non-blond female in the show
Charlie - red - dead(?)
Eden - dark brown - died from a stupid mistake
Molly - brown - written out of the series
Janice (Matt's wife) - brown - small part, in and out then in again
Candice - brown - died
Victoria Pratt (Company founder) - red - died
Alice (Angela's sister) - dark brown - only one episode
Becky (invisible sorority girl) - Black - probably not going to make it long, given the negative light she is being shown in
Annie (Claire's first roommate) - brown - died
Gretchen (Claire's second roommate) - dark brown - we'll see

See a bit of a pattern? Even amongst the female characters that die, the blond ones tend to have better and/or more heroic deaths than the non-blonds.

nette 11-05-2009 03:58 AM

I think this season is finalyy getting better. I was getting bored with Clair's college days and the weird cirucs stuff.

Shimawa_zen 11-05-2009 06:36 AM

Yeah - between Claire attending a stereotypical college, and the stereotypical plotline of having people who are different as circus performers, I wasn't sure at first if this season would amount to much.

The plot is starting to get more complicated, with some good potential for surprise side-effects from the meddling with time.

SPOILERX

Sylar no longer has Charlie's ability, which could effect his strength. (Although arguably he might not need it or rely on it much since he already is so intelligent and cunning.) The information that Hiro told him will likely also effect him. We've already seen Sylar has had some thoughts about "well I'm super powerful now - now what?" Sylar is questioning what else there is to life. I hope to see lots more Sylar personal development =D
