The movie definately was good all the way through but the end of it was very very disappointing to me...so I guess if I had to rate the movie it'd get a fairly low rating....
|
I wasn't too in love with the movie but I loved the visual effects and the color schemes in the movie.
|
The movie was alright. I thought the ending was sad but I guess it had to be that way to end in a good way.
|
I thought it was a really interesting movie. I just like how they had the backdrop of the war and the story line in general. I also thought that the acting was pretty strong as were the visual effects.

For one thing, I notice a lot with subtitled movies that it can be tricky to keep up with the subtitles, but not with Pan's Labyrinth. It hardly mattered that it was in Spanish, partly because it wasn't so much about dialog. The ending really made me think, too, and I won't say too much about it in case of spoilers.

I saw it with my mom and dad...It was such a good story! :D
|
The movie was good. my sis find it weird about the guy pants. ^^;

Pan's Labyrinth is one of my favorite movies by far. The story is amazing, and the creatures were fantastic.
I thought it was so sad though in the end. I still cry when I watch it. |
This movie was not your normal fairy tale though thats what was great about it, it really moved you in violent and very disturbing ways, a little bit like Tideland if you haven't watched that yet you should do. It's agreat movie.
Overall... Pans Labrynth made me cry.. |
It was an interesting movie but extremely sad and weird at times. I actually got a little freaked out at the part where she had to draw the door in the wall and go to the place where the thing with it's eyeballs on the plate was. I hated that even though she was warned to NOT eat anything on the table she did anyway and the fairies had to pay for it! T^T That thing freaked me out and not because it's eyeballs were in it's hands it's just I don't like seeing monsters eat sweet things. T^T But anyways the movie was great and I wish the ending had been a little different.

I love Pans Labyrinth. The music is so haunting, the characters are great, the subtitles do not go to fast so you can read them clearly, and the ending is satisfying. All in all a great movie, bloody, but great. I cant wait to Christmas to come 'cause I asked for it. *sighs* what a great movie. I'm glad that it won the awards it did.

That movie was pretty interesting. I loved the little faun. :] It's one of those movies that you can analyze a lot. Although I don't really like how they gave away what would happen in the end during the beginning of the movie. |
I really enjoyed the movie, but I found it a bit dissapointing. There really wasn't much fantasy in it considering the way it was advertised, and I didn't much like the ending, but it was good. Plenty of gory war scenes.

What Kiralisha said.
It was a good movie, but I would have enjoyed it more if the fantasy ellements were emphasised or longer. And I loved the scene with that eyes-in-palms creature. |
I have not yet been able to see the movie yet, but I would really like to. I have seen many a preview for it, and it seems so intriguing, and judging from what most of you in this thread have said, it seems like a worth while movie to watch. I don't know the story line, but it looks like such a dark movie. I love dark seeming things, specially when they have a hint of beauty and innocence to it. |
I watched it with my mum & sister when we got our new TV.
I really liked it aside from the amount of gore. It was advertised as an "adult's fairy tale" I wasn't expecting so much blood, more scariness and beauty. o_o; But I did love it :3 |
I watched that movie together with my little sister a few weeks ago. At first she was all "Oh my, don't bug me with that stuff" but when we started watching she was amazed.
She liked it more than I did xDDD It's a nice movie but a bit too violent for my tastes... ^^" |
Another one of my favorite movies. I could not wait for this to come to DVD, and when it did I snatched it up. I really love the darkness of the film and the whole fairy tale/fantasy theme. Of course all the underlining meanings are there, which makes you think about all of the stuff going on in the movie. It's just a brilliant piece of work. |
Oh gosh, this brings back terrible memmories of watching the movie. D:
I was bored out of my mind! I fell asleep half way through.. First off, I really hated the main actor..for some reason she just bugged me. :/ Plus I had no respect for the graphics..and I am not really 'into' those 'fantasy' kinds of movies with gobblins and fairies and whatnot.. Also, then her mother started like, bleeding and such I totally got confused and gave up with the story.. I give it a thumbs down, sorry everyone. :3 |
was amazing!
i was only able to see bits and peices of it, but from what i saw, i loved it! people in my class had to do an assignment for watching a movie from somewhere else in the world, and of course, half the class saw pan's labirynth!

I loved this movie so much!
It made me cry in the end, but I still loved it. When I entered the movie theatre, I really didn't know what to expect from this movie (let alone, it being in Spanish). The background the Franco's civil war was absolutely captivating as well, and being a history major, it was well appretiated to see a movie that had a fantasy story line set during actual historical events. The acting of the little girl (I can't remember her name and I'm too lazy to open another browser to look it up) was soo good too! The visual effects were really well done as well. Normally, there is a stereotype along with foreign movies that the effects are going to be bad, etc. (Even Canadian made movies normally have really crappy special effects!) And I was very pleasantly surprised to find that this movie was a contradiction to this stereotype. Also, I found this movie very creepy! But not overly so that I was really scared. The faun scared the shit out of me, and I got to say, I never pictured faun's as tree-like. And then there was the guy with the eyes in his palms... He was the creepiest thing ever. So in general, I loved this movie haha |
Ack! This movie, I absolutely loved it! Everything about it was beautifully done. :D
|
I thought It was a very inventive story line, it was a lot different then I thought it was going to be but I still loved it.
