High School musical is ok...I know alot of people who love it and who hate it. I wonder how the 2nd one will be...

• It's like Hitler meets Disney - a dash of repetitive brainwashing here, a bit of child indoctrination (sp?) there.

I think it's Disney channel's best movie so far. I'm so happy I have the Family channel because I can see it the moment it somes out on t.v. It's my guilty pleasure. I'm looking forward to High School Musical 2. I like Vanessa Anne Hudgens. She has a nice voice. I don't find the guy who plays Trey Bolton hot though. He looks kind of funny. It seems weird seeing him older because he used to be in Summerland and he was still quite young. Corbin Bleu is a sweet little guy but he can't sing.

I don't really like High School Musical. It's nice that they tried an old-style film (as in: they sing songs about their feelings) but it's kind of a cheesy attempt to show that cliques are bad. It's an infantile message and I don't know that I would have participated in it at all, as a set designer or as anything else.

The characters are blah, the setting is cliche, there's nothing redeemable about it at all except for the musical quality.

And sequels, as a rule, are not any good, so I don't watch them.

Some of those songs are all right, but the movie is terrible. I don't think a single one of those actors is under 20, which I think is stupid, because there are plenty of decent actors who are actually IN high school and won't create impossible to live up to images of what a teenager should look like (face it...a 25 year old and a 15 year old don't look the same). The people are lip-syncing, and doing it badly. Everything is cliche and overdone.

Ahh the new one is coming out soon I think. XD Tomorrow?

Anyway, some of the songs annoy me. And some of the scenes. But overall, I think it's a cute movie. Although listening to everyone sing the songs nonstop gets tiresome really fast.

While babysitting I was forced to watch High School Musical and my life will never be the same!.... It rotted my brain and destroyed my soul. :evil: I felt like I was being attacked by zombies only worse. I do not know what Disney is trying to teach kids about high school but it you act like that you will be beaten and thrown into a padded room!!! if you havn't seen this movie, for god's sake, run away :!:

One. It's Hollywood. Everything comes out perfect in Hollywood. Especially prissy teen dramamusicalthings that are made to make people that can see how wrong they are barf.

Two. Jesus Christ. Why are they all so beautiful? HOLLYWOOD AGAIN.
I've never, ever seen an EXCEEDINGLY BEAUTIFUL, amazingly smart girl with a beautiful voice before. It's always one of the three, or two of the three.

Never seen that perfect of a guy either. And I hate Zac Efron. He's ugly in my opinion.

I can't get myself to watch it ><... I usually like musicals and since there was so much hype about it I decided to youtube one of the songs. I couldn't even get past the first 30 seconds without wanting to run away ^^;;;

I thought it was a nice movie. I can watch it once in awhile, but not alot. Same with the second one.

I don't like High School Musical. It's very annoying how people are so obessesed with it. Even my cousins worship it.
One of my cousins, he's 2 years older than me and he's worships Vannesa Hudgens. Sheesh..

I think I'm borerline obsessive with High School Musical. I have the dvd and soudtrack of the first one. I don't have the dvd or soundtrack for the 2nd one yet, but I did download the songs and had my mom tape it to VHS for me since I don't have cable.

On my wall is a High School Musical 2 poster my sister bought me from our local video store back in PA and right beside it is a centerfold from USA Weekend of the cast sitting in or laying on intertubes.

For Christmas this year, I got a tshirt from my aunt while my mom bought me lip gloss and a nail file from Avon!

And just yesterday I got a zip up sweatshirt from Walmart XD


And now since I have the songs playing in my head, I'm gonna go play them on Winamp, lol XD

Most people I know are either a hater or a lover of High School Musical. I don't really know anyone who's inbetween on the movie.

I'm one of the haters ;O. Although I have weird reasons for it (x. It just sort of vaguely irritates me how they make high school look in that movie >___<. It's truly nothing like that. We don't burst out into song or are even that nice to they consider to be their "enemy". I just prefer things to be more realistic I suppose. I'm not a fan of the singing either, I don't really like the choreography or their voices. And no, I don't find anyone in that movie attractive xD. But then again, it just seems like another Disney film :l. Too clean cut, too cheap.

It's always going to look like a cheap rip-off of Grease! to me. It doesn't matter what anyone says, that's my honest opinion.

Bottom line: I HATE that movie.

Ugh, I hate it. None of the main characters can sing. They can "sing" but only in the way than any high schooler can sing in and eight-year-olds love to sing in.

There is maybe one main character who seems to actually be able to sing: that one dumb blonde guy. I know this only because at one point he's actually HOLDING A NOTE well...meanwhile Tisdale is next to him doing her little singing thing where she scoops on through several bright notes.

I was in choir(I'm not too good but I at least know enough to hate this movie) so this stuff gets to me.

Fabulous is my favourite song in High school musical two. I don't like the movie. It's awful! How can they make a musical out of school? >.<
Most of the actors think they're so famous cause they're acting in it.

Literally I despise Highschool Musical.

I think its kinda stupid no offense to anyone.
The only thing I like about though...is the fashion. Most the kids in the movie had some of the hottest trends of 07.

I...LIKED high school musical. Until the entire Disney channel focused on nothing but it, and High school musical two. Constantly playing the songs, and that whole road to high school musical thing. It got majorly annoying. I mean yes, it's okay, but it's really not the best thing in the world. It gets annoying fast.

My cousin was watching the 3rd movie on Christmas...hmm
It seems like a cute film. And the people who work on it and in it (you can tell) put their heart into it. Even if you don't like it, give some props to all the love that goes into the thing.

USA doesn't get a lot of musical movies, and when we do, people wanna bash on them all the time. geez. This is one of the reasons Disney exec's started cutting back on music breaks in movies, they listen to the people who don't like it, instead of listening to the people who do like it.


There was a time when people were obsessed with "Grease"... in fact - they still are!
There are people who love "West side Story". And many other old musical films.

I may not be a fan of HSM, but I am glad to see a musical that captured so many children's hearts.

No offense to you but I don't like High School Musical. The songs are quite annoying, and the characters are all...snobby and whiny. I have watched the first and the second movie, but I am not planning to watch the third movie, unless it's on TV or something, and I'm bored out of mind, then it's a possibility.

The third one was probably my favorite of them all. They're really not that good though, but I can't stop watching them when I do.
