It was also apparent with the Preacher scenes at his new digs. The cast were all excited to be there because they knew these people and we just had to imagine that they were good people. When they all died it was like we were expected to be sad but we really knew nothing about the people themselves. |
I love Firefly/Serenity. It's such a great series/movie. I sadly was not introduced until I saw the trailer for Serenity. I fell in love when I saw it in theatres and it was until a couple years later that I saw the series finally on Hulu. I was sad that it never lasted even a season.
I'd have to say that Jayne is my favourite. Big muscled and not very bright, he hides his softer side until he's had a bit one too many. Hehe! He's always made me laugh, and even just a dumbfounded look on his face makes me amused. My favourite scene with him in "My Mrs. Reynolds." and he's handing Vera to Mal for Saffron. Never can take him serious after that. Haha!! I fell in love with the world that I went positively nuts when I saw the RPG books. (like DnD) Though the book is call Serenity and has more info on the movie than the series (it has some references form the series) I still love it anyways. I'm actually currently working on a campaign to play with my friends. ^^ It's sad when you start saying "shiny" instead of "great" or "good" and start talking like you are from the Rim. :sweat: |
I liked the movie, I want to see the series. In the movie I enjoyed that they could never keep the one panel or what ever on the ship, that it always blew off. This movie also inspired my boyfriends idea for his head stone when he dies.

I just wanted to express my delight at Firefly being aired over here for the first time at this very moment. And in the right order, even... ;)
I've seen it countless times on DVD, but finally watching it on TV makes me really exited. It's not exactly the best airing time (22:15) and not exactly the most glorious channel (let's call it the least famous of the main channels :P), but... it's on TV finally! Needless to say, yes I'm quite the fan of the series and was delighted about watching the movie. And as for favourite character: Well, I'm the sassy technical geek girl always running around in cargo pants, so it should be rather obvious who kind of qualifies as my role model. ;) |
I gasped when I saw the title to this!
I love Firefly. Unfortunately I was introduced to it after it was canceled. Actually it's kinda funny. My dad had Serenity and would watch it all the time. The movie drove me nuts, I think mainly because I didn't understand it. But then I walked in on him watching Firefly one day and thought it was cool. I fell for it and it was after watching the series that I realized that Serenity was it's movie. I once printed a pattern for Jayne's awesome hat from his mommy, bought the right color yarn for it and even told my friends I was gonna make it. But never got around... I think it was around the time I started knitting baby booties for a friend. I have picked up my knitting needles since I finished those a year ago. Also Adam Baldwin is my favorite actor. =) |
I'm quite sad to say that I haven't seen the series, but I have seen the movie! I thought that it was truly amazing. I only wish that I had more of a base for it. I do plan on renting the series and then to watch the movie again just because it was that good, and also because of all the good things that I have heard about it.
