i cry mostly at.....

war movies. There's always that likeable soldier that dies in a painful way. In Glory, it was an entire platoon of black soliders. In Saving Private Ryan, that cool sniper. Yeah, i think males should only cry in war movies. hehe

Forrest Gump made me cry too. ;^;
Also Dead Poet's society and Patch Adams. I haven't seen to many movies though.

I think I'm a little over-sensitive about movies, I cry at about every sad part in every movie. >_>

the truman show staring Jim Carrey made me cry a little bit but alot of things had happened to me that week and then the film just pushed me into the state of crying

Yeah 09-05-2007 10:23 PM

I'm not a crier, but The Notebook and A Walk to Remember. But anyway, those were tear jerkers for sure.

Frog 09-06-2007 08:39 AM

I don't usually cry in movies. I'm usually the one sitting in a middle of a big group hiding from embarrassment, rather than sobbing openly. (Then again... that's only when my friends force me into watching Hillary Duff movies.)

But I started bawling because of RENT, after I watched for the first time. To be exact, I started tearing up during I'll Cover You (Reprise), and it intensified in What You Own when Roger and Mark hug. I was just -- everything that had happened up until that point hit me, and I started feeling so stupid for thinking that my problems were big. Later, when I was away from the television and in my room, I started sobbing.

Although it sounds sort of selfish -- and it is, admittedly -- it was really the movie that got to me over myself. It's beautiful in that way.

I rarely cry at movies and hardly never in the theatres. At home it's a slightly different story, depending on the atmosphere and the like.

Growing up the movies that made me cry are Anna and the King, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Grave of the Fireflies, and most notably, The Fountain.

Aronofsky's works have really moved me among the few others I've mentioned, he's made the biggest impact on a viewing experience.

But then again, we're not talking about mind screw movies so I'll stop. =)

The sad thing is, the only thing on television I remember that made me cry is an episode of Pokemon. It was when Ash tried to leave Pikachu behind with a herd (or whatever) of wild Pikachus. xD I'm pathetic, aren't I?

[BxB] 09-07-2007 07:54 PM

I cry at almost any movie originating from any genre...
I remembered I cried watching A.I-Artificial Intelligence, when the robot boy was alone 1000years after his "mother" had died...it was very touching...

Cherry Who? 09-07-2007 08:37 PM

I'm a baby. The end of Tuck Everlasting makes me a bit misty eyed. As did Serenity.
As the person above me stated, A.I. is a little teary too.
And when I saw it a few years ago, the first My Girl made me tear up a bit.

Movies normally don't make me CRY, so much as they just make my eyes get watery. No tears are shed, but it looks like I'm crying.

Queen Fool 09-08-2007 01:12 AM

The Color of Friendship

Tiger Cruise (the first night it came out...after that it just bored me)

Anna-I cried at that episode, too....it made me sad.

ln(e) 09-10-2007 02:49 AM

I have yet to cry at a movie. I saw the Passion of Christ and didn't cry. I guess I cant cry at movies then.

blind_phoenix 09-10-2007 03:09 AM

I've never really cried at a movie, but I have gotten teary eyed during Mighty Joe Young and The Notebook.

seisei 09-14-2007 01:20 PM

I'm a complete sap and tend to cry at anything and everything... I even managed to bawl my eyes out at Starship Troopers. =P It was a very heroic, self sacrificing moment... so I'm allowed.

But my biggest tearjerker/wtf feel good despite all the crying film is the Joy Luck Club. Mother/daughter bond stuff does that to me.. and this one is pretty much the perfect Mothers Day movie, curl up on the sofa with enough chocolate and tea to make you explode.

Sumire 09-17-2007 12:34 AM

Honestly, I almost cry at every movies. I'm too much sensitive.

A quicky list... xD
-Moulin Rouge : That's just too sad and beautiful at the same time. When Satine learn she'll die until the end... Tragic love.
-The story, the moral of the film is just so beautiful and true.
-At Pan's Labyrinth end.
-The beauty, esthetic and the sad ending of the House of flying daggers kill me.
-LOTR, I have cry in the 3 movies, all the third one, the end was kind of sad but at the same time so happy and full of hope.
-The entire story of Grave of the Fireflies is just sad, tragic and heartbreaking, as a war is.

Emerrett 09-17-2007 01:34 AM

Almost

I don't think I ever cried because of a movie before...although I'm a very sensitive person, probably because I don't watch movies all that much. xD And most of the ones I watch are comedy, pretty much. Hotel Rwanda was pretty sad though. I almost cried watching Naruto once...but now I think about it, it was a little silly, since Naruto isn't a very realist story. I do get inspired by movies, though.

Masquerade 09-17-2007 02:41 AM

Return of the King - there are two parts that get me. The first is Theoden's death. The line, "I go now to my forefathers, in whose mighty company I shall not now feel ashamed" just tears at me every time. He's not even one of my favorite characters, but that LINE. Criminy. The other part is Frodo leaving the other hobbits, especially when he kisses Sam's forehead. And every once in awhile the, "Go home, Sam" bit where Sam bursts into tears will get to me.

I'm not a huge LotR nerd but man, those movies were well done.

There are others but that's the first one I can think of off the top of my head.

Fuumuu 09-17-2007 08:14 AM

xD;;<33 I remember watching the new King Kong and crying my eyes out. I saw it in theatures and I was fine - partially because I was watching it with an old flame. xD;; But then I bought the movie when it came out...

I sat down to watch it, and at the end, I seriously started to bawl my eyes out. >>;; xD;; I don't know why, but I got -so sad- over it. >>;; xD;;

And then there was a time in my life where I went through something and everytime I watched "Mulan" during that weekend, I started crying hysterically. xD;;<3

But other than that. >>;; I tend to not cry during films. xD;; I mean. I'll get teary eyed...but not actual tears. xD;<3 I make fun of movies too much to get anywhere near that emotional level. xD;;<3

Feralin 09-18-2007 03:08 PM

A.I made me cry. >o>

Rinali Lee 09-19-2007 09:00 PM

I hardly ever cry during movies (although "A Walk to Remember" very nearly did it), but I always find myself ready to cry at those Asian dramas. ._. You know, the ones where the girl meets the guy, she gets the guy, she develops some terminal disease, guy sacrifices everything for her, and she dies anyway.

True, they're cliche and probably have no thought behind them--there's probably a machine that churns these things out--same plot, different names--but it still makes me sad. D:

"Save the Last Dance", "Da Chiang Jing", and "1 Litre of Tears" made me bawl. ;_;

[Pst. NO. I'm not takling about American or Japanese version of "Save the Last Dance"; it's a Korean drama.]

Gynne 09-22-2007 05:58 PM

It takes a lot to actually make me cry I think...but the end of The Little Mermaid still brings on the waterworks. >>

x3inu 09-26-2007 01:06 AM
