I hated the end from the first fantastic four. They defeted the man to easy.. Ok they dont defeted him like he wont come back but i was to easy for them to lock him up.

Yeah, they beat Doom over WAY too quick. But then again, they really screwed up Doom in the first film. D:

I thought the first one was absolutely horrible. The second one looks like it might have promise, but they made the Silver Surfer into a villain, which he wasn't really in the first place. Kinda, but not really--they didn't get along, but he wasn't going around destroying the planet. ... I'll probably wait for this one to come out on DVD.

Oh yeah the Silver Surfer is meant to be in this new one isn't he? I haven't read the comics but I have seen the first film. I have to say that the Thing is my favourite character just because he is so sweet and cute. The poor guy certainly got the worst deal out of the four.

looking forward to this one. Prolly gonna go to a midnight movie if they have one.
my hubby read the comics so he's filled me in on the silver surfer. Should be interesting. I'm excited to see where they go with him. from what I can tell he's going to start out as the herald to galactus and then turn on him to save the earth ... that's my theory based on the surfer history anyway. |
Yeah, that's probably what they're going to do with him.
Bleh, and I'm already disappointed in this film. From the looks of it, they're going to use the Ultimateverse version of Galactus.... which is like a million spaceships. I want the 616 version! D: He's massive and pink and still looks awesome! Or use the version they did for the Marvel Ultimate Alliance game. He was seriously awesome-looking in that. It was loyal to the original design, but updated. And still looked cool. |
I don't really want to see Fantastic 4 because it doesn't seem that interesting and the first one wasn't that good.

My son is really wanting to go see this, so we may end up going. I've only seen bits and pieces of the first one, but this one looks kind of interesting to me.

The first one was okay, it wasnt 'Fantastic' by any stretch (whee bad pun XD)
I'll probably see the second one when it's released on DVD, I dont think its worth a trip to the cinema.. |

Well, now that I've seen it, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. This newest installment was much better than the first one (it was still kinda cheesy in places, but not NEARLY as bad... X-P). I also have to say that I like what they did with the Surfer, even though he got some abridgement.
Now, as far as character development goes, it could use a little work, even though I can understand why it has to be the way it is. The movie industry can't play favorites (even though Mr. Fantastic does get a little more limelight than the rest of them, but that's because he's the ringleader), so the characters all get developed at the same time, which makes it seem like none of them are being developed at all. I've come to terms with that aspect of this story--that there are four 'main' characters who can't possibly all get the attention they deserve. Their development was constant through the whole movie, which was good despite the fact that it was pretty shallow development, and they maintained a steady plot pace, which was also very good. |
The first one was way better then this 2nd I think. Save any part that had the Silver Surfer in. See I'm a huge Surfer fan n_n -cheers him on-
But otherwise the story was crap, the characters were worse then normal...honestly it was bad. |
I bought it..I didn't really like it. The whole fantastic four series is rather poorly made..
And besides, I really hate Jessica Alba as an actors. (Wait..Jessica DOES play Invisable women..right? o3o) |

I'm actually rather partial to Fantastic 4, I really don't even like the comics that much... But thats my personal opinion, though I'll probably end up seeing it anyway XD.

it was alright
the only reason i liked it, is because it was so comicbook. FF4 are fun movies. though it should focus on making it looser with "Logic" and "Real world" things. what i dont like, is that so much time is spent chasing Surfer and having personal issues, that the ending is so quick and short. what is up with that? i want to see Galactus...i dont care how corny it is to see a giant humanoid being with a cylinder spiky helmet. i want to see him!! of course the character It Self appears to various beings in many forms, depending on that species visual mind set. so if there is a 3rd, i would like them to focus on Surfer and his purpose. |
