the book is wayyy better.
it was my favourite book when i was a kid. the movie was cute, but i was disappointed at how many little details they changed. prince terrian was supposed to be a pug. D< i know that's not a big deal, but it bugged me a lot. leslie and i have the same last name. xD she's actually quite adorable. she's the girl who played violet in charlie and the chocolate factory, for those of you who didn't know. i was actually crying when leslie died. I enjoyed the moive, but I agree that the ending is so sad. I saw it as a play with my school when I was younger. After watching the extras on the DVD the end makes a lot more sense. The author of the book has a son. When he was younger he had a best friend who was a girl. She went on a vacation with her family to the beach and she was killed because she was struck by lightning. The author did not know how to explain why this happened, so she wrote a book about it. Knowing this made the movie and probably the book, which I admit I have not read, mean a lot more.
