I read on another site that the movie was really good, from the previews I can't make up my mind if I want to see it or not. I will probably just wait until it comes out on dvd. I think the length of time it takes tells you a lot about the movie and wether or not it is any good.

It's worth seeing if only for the cinematography. Someone did a great job on all the scenery and shots and stuff. I say go for it if you can. I got goosebumps even the second time I went to see the movie because the scenes were so beautifully done. Especially the stuff with Lamia up in the hills with the goat-carriage and the wind... amazing.

I agree with you completely, Morien. They environments were incredibly beautiful! I really loved the city in Stormhold, personally. But I think I know what you're talking about with Lamia up the hills - this picture, right?

I can't wait till it comes out where I live. It looks really interesting, but I've heard it's different from the book. I love fantasy/sci-fi themed stuff. <3

I kind of want to watch it, it looks like an interesting movie, although I don't really remember what the plot is suppose to be like, I saw the trailer long time ago. I'm also need to do some researches on witchcraft (for my own story), so that movie might help a lot. What is this movies rated, again?

Yes! I adored this film!
My friends and I were a bit late to the movie, but I caught up really quickly and I loved the movie! I thought the plot was very well developed and the characters were very well played. <3 It kept me interested through the whole thing, and I was a bit sad it was over in the end. xD;;
It's diffently on my "To Buy" list. <3 The action...and adventure...and the romance! Ahh! The comedy. xD;;<3 --gushes-- And plus, the main male character was really cute. ^O^ <3

I absolutely intend to purchase this film on DVD. There are very few of the newer movies that I'd be willing to add to my DVD collection. But this one was too fantastic to pass up.

I'm going to see it on Friday, which is the Norwegian Premiere ^^ I'm taking my sister and my best friend... I can't let them miss out on it...
I read the book over the winter, and I have been waiting for this since I found out they were going to make a movie of it....
My mum actually read it, and her first comment was: "This would make a great film!!"
two weeks later, I was happy to tell her that it would ^^
*is über-excited*

I actually was just replying to a comment left by someone in another thread about this movie!'
Neil Gaiman, the writer of the screenplay and the original novel is one of my favorite writers. I think this movie was amazing and I'm so glad that it received so many good reviews.
Of course, my favorite part of the entire movie had to be Robert Di Nero. If anyone hasn't seen this movie, I recommend it if only for Robert Di Nero.

- Wait, whoa! It's out already in the US, but it won't be here until the 5th of October? We're usually so quick to get movies here, but not this one? Boo.
Haven't read the book yet (but intend to, before I go see the film) but I love Neil Gaiman and I've seen the trailer and it look fantastic. Definately going to see it.

- Awww I saw this movie last week with my mom but she didn't like it, hahaha! Well, I liked it. I love Michelle Pfeiffer and seriously, at 49 years old, almost 50 SHE HASN'T CHANGED!
Anyway I'm hoping for it to get on DVD soon (well like, 2-6 months now that it just got off the theaters in my area) so I can buy it. Claire Danes definitely grew up too. I compared her from now with her 1996 Romeo + Juliet and she changed. I'm not sure whether I like her blonde though, but her dresses were REALLY pretty, and so was the necklace. The guy who plays Tristan is hot too, hehehe.

I just saw this movie last weekend with my boyfriend. It was either Stardust or Rush Hour 3 (differences anyone? o_O). Anyway, we decided to go and see Stardust =3 I thought Yvaine (Claire Daines) had a great sense of humor xD

Yeah, this where it fell. It is, or if you want to be really specific, up there is where this weird bloody necklace came out of nowhere and knocked it out of the heavens without minding it's own bussines. And over there is where it landed. And right here, here is where it got hit by a magical flying MORON!

I loved that part :P

That was really a great line. She did a terrific job delivering some really weapons grade sarcasm.
It was a bit different than the original, but not so badly so that I'd rant about it, which is rare for Book to Movie conversions.
I rather liked Septimus, but then I liked him in the original too. He just amused me for some unknown reason.

I really enjoyed the movie. Even thought the pirates weren't in there as much as I thought they would be, I still got laughs out of all of it. It had characters that you love and love to hate, and then there were the people that just gave you the shivers.
Since this was the only version of Stardust I've been exposed to, I really can't compare it.
But Robert DeNiro was amazing. You need that type of character in a movie like that.

- I am almost positive those shots were taken in Iceland. ;D
I loved it, I went to see it Thursday and it was even better than I had expected. I love Neil Gaiman's work (although I didn't manage to get the book and read it before I saw the movie - was going to, though, but it was more important to see the film in the cinema) and I can't wait to read the book! :D
As everyone already mentioned, Robert DeNiro was amazing, and I thought all the characters were well done. The costumes were to die for as well!

I saw it and really liked it! It took a while for it to pick up, I was a bit bored for the beginning of it. Also, some of the comedy fell a bit short. But overall it was a really nice story, and I'd love to see it again. ^^

I really wanted to see this movie, but never got the chance. Claire Danes is one of my favorite actresses, not only that but the plot of the movie seemed well thought out and possibly something that I would be interested in. I guess I'll just have to wait until it airs on the tube or the dvd comes out.

- I just bought a big book on the movie yesterday -- it has the script, lots of photos and the concept art, and it's really cool. When I saw it I just HAD to have it. Oh man, I really want it on DVD >< anyone have a prediction on when it's coming out??
Still can't believe Tristan's transformation from a boy into a man throughout this movie. When he gets the wardrobe AND hairstyle change from Captain Shakespeare, I was like "WOWWWWW Tristan's hot!" Claire Danes and Michelle Pfeiffer are two actresses I like, and they were really great in this movie.

I really liked the movie when I went to see it, though the ending was a little... too "happily ever after" for me, I guess. I like happy endings, but it seemed all too lucky and convenient...
My favorite parts probably consisted of the scenes with all the dead princes. They were hilarious xD.
